Still processing Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor? We’re here to help.
After four episodes of tension building between Corinne and Taylor, the two were selected for Nick Viall’s dreaded two-on-one date — AKA literally the best part of every season.
For those of you new to the Bachelor world, it’s essentially the two contestants that hate each other the most going on a date with the leading man or woman. One gets a rose and stays, and the other is sent packing.
(Seriously, if these photos from past seasons don’t caption the essence of “awkwardness,” I don’t know what does.)
Per Bachelor tradition, the two-on-one date happened in the wilderness. Instead of a desert or a forest, this season the trio of fun headed out to the swamps of New Orleans, where they had a tarot card reading that magically mirrored the exact feud they were having. How weird.
Nick fulfills all of our thoughts about him by picking Corinne to stay, so Taylor goes through a voodoo ritual that has all of us raising our eyebrows. (FYI, this is usually not part of the two-on-one.) Then she pulls a Chad and refuses to head home.

Of course, we don’t leave out Rachel’s one-on-one time with Nick (adore her!) and the dumbest group date in Bachelor history (no exaggeration).
