When you think of Jeopardy!‘s Alex Trebek, you definitely don’t associate him with the most famous rappers in the game right now. On the latest episode of Jeopardy!, which featured college students from around the country, a category entitled “Let’s Rap, Kids!” gave Trebek to do just that, kids. Viewers got to hear Trebek spit out a few beats.

Check out a video of Trebek rapping a Kanye West track, among others, below.

Well, we can’t say that Trebek should quit his day job and start a rap career (although, imagine how hilarious that would be). The funniest part about Trebek’s “rapping” is that it’s in the same tone of voice as it would be when he’s reciting a clue for geography or world history. But, at least he’s giving it a little more personality. He also seems to have a bit of fun with it, as the video below suggests.

When the category finished up, Trebek lamented that, “I was just getting into this rap thing. I’m not very good at it. But, I was getting into it.” Oh, Trebek, we have to agree with you there. After the episode aired, a Twitter user even remixed Trebek’s “raps” with the original songs and the result is pure awesomeness.

It’s kinda catchy? Be right back, we’re just gonna put this on repeat all day long.
