Cinco de Mayo is coming up and that can only mean one thing. It’s time to get your drank on. Many people believe that May 5 is a celebration of Mexico’s independence, but that’s actually on September 16. This holiday is actually celebrating the Mexican army’s victory over France in 1862 at the Battle of Puebla.
For America, it’s a day to get wasted and enjoy a lot of Mexican cuisine. So, hit the liquor stores and bars, get your shot glasses ready and prepare yourself for an all-day fiesta. And don’t stress about the hangover. Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday this year which means no work in the morning.
