This Guy Took A Big Risk & Proposed With A Tattoo

Obviously, it’s always good for the proposal to fit the couple. Usually, people plan elaborate surprises for the big question, maybe setting up scavenger hunts or heading back to the place where they met. Every couple is a little bit different, but this proposal might just take the cake both in individuality and in risk-taking.

Vinny Capaldo-Smith is a Colorado-based tattoo artist. When he decided it was time to propose to his girlfriend, Brooke Wodark, he wanted it to be a perfect culmination of their relationship and a big surprise.

He tricked Wodark into simply thinking she would ink a heart with “love” written inside it onto his leg. As Wodark began the drawing, Smith pulled up the leg of his shorts to reveal the full message, including the most important question: “Will you marry me?”

Hopefully we all know by now that tattoos are PERMANENT, so this could have gone awry if she’d have said no.

Luckily, Wodark was excited and eager to say yes.

She marked the spot that indicated yes, sealing her acceptance with red ink.

The video has now garnered over 12 million views and 100,000 shares, so clearly his unique idea paid off. It always helps to take a little bit of a risk… though it might be a good idea to play it safe with tattoos.
