First dates are always a little awkward, but nothing tops Liam Smyth’s first date story. His first date with this girl from Tinder ended with him making a GoFundMe page to raise money for a new window. Why? Because his Tinder date broke it when she tried to retrieve the bag of poop she threw outside of it.
How did this date even get to this point? Well let’s start from the beginning.
Liam said that he and his Tinder girl went out on a date to Nando’s. They then went back to his house to drink wine and watch a scientology documentary. Back at his apartment, his date went to the bathroom. When the toilet wouldn’t flush she decided the next best thing was to put her poop in a bag and throw it out the bathroom window.
I get the panic. You just pooped in a new guys house and the toilet won’t flush. You don’t want him to see or smell your poop! You barely know him! But to bag it up and try to toss it out a window is a wild conclusion to come to.
But when she went to toss the poopy bag out the window it got stuck. Liam’s window is right up against another window. He calls it a “design quirk.”. Anyways the bag of poop is now stuck in between the two windows.
By now Liam is involved. He said he texted his house group chat about the situation and their solution involved a hammer and chisel. But the Tinder date insisted she could reach into the window and grab the bag. Apparently she is an amateur gymnast.
Liam wrote in his GoFundMe description, “She climbed in head first after he own turd, reached deeper into the window, bagged it up, and passed it out, over the top and back into the toilet form whence it came.” After she completed poop Mission Impossible she realized she was stuck. “She was stuck fast, upside down in the gap,” Liam wrote.
After being upside down for 15 minutes Liam decided to call the fire department to come help remove her. Even though his date was rescued and right side up in 15 minutes his window got completely destroyed. Liam’s a graduate student (aka broke) so he made a GoFundMe to cover the cost of his new window.
Liam has raised well above his GoFundMe mark and is donating the rest of his money to two charities. Half of the extra cash will go to the fire department that rescued his date and the other half to Toilet Twinning which build and maintains flushing toilets in the developing world.
I wonder if they will go on a second date?
