Khloe Kardashian gave birth to True Thompson five weeks ago and is already clapping back at mommy shamers. The new mom is getting some backlash for being in the gym so soon after giving birth. Fitness is a huge part of Khloe’s life, but whenever mommy shamers can shame, they’re going to.

She posted a Snapchat video the other day of her at the gym showing off her new post-baby abs. She lifted up her shirt and said, “five weeks after baby and feeling good.” She then critiqued her body and said she has to tighten up her abs, slim down her thighs and get rid of her butt. But then she backtracks and says as long as she is “solid” she “really doesn’t care.”

Fans and mommy shamers alike criticized Khloe for being obsessed with getting her pre-pregnancy body back and spending ample time in the gym. A lot of them also called out Khloe for her thigh to butt ratio, alluding that her butt is fake.

Khloe responded to the haters in a series of Snapchat videos. “What I’m annoyed about is that I’ve read a couple of times on Twitter that, you know, they feel that I’m focusing too much on my body, but the truth is, I’ve worked out five or six days a week before I got pregnant and that’s my sanctuary and something I love to do,” she said.

Khloe then continues to explain how working out is essential to her everyday routine. “I want to find time to work out because that’s going to be my new normal,” she said. “Just because I have a baby, doesn’t mean I have to stop doing the things that I love, and I love working out and getting my mind right.”

Khloe’s fitness journey has been a roller coaster that has finally come to an end. Her weight has yo-yoed for years until she made healthy choices with her eating and consistent frequent exercising. She frequently posts her workouts on Snapchat and Instagram to share with her followers what she’s doing to stay in shape.

The new mom is free to spend her time however she chooses and if that means she is in the gym five days a week, that’s fine. Is the way Khloe talks about her body problematic? Sometimes. Before she gave birth to True she was in the best shape of her life, so it’s understandable that she wants to get back to where she started. But sometimes she does talk about her body in a negative way. Even so, that’s not okay for fans to attack Khloe for going to the gym. Just because she’s taking care of her health doesn’t mean she’s not also taking care of her baby.
