It was released that Whitney Houston passed away today, and I literally don’t know what to do with myself right now. Is this real life?

Have you ever uttered the words “music was better back when…”? Or maybe you’ve been the one listening to a friend wax poetic about the good ol’ days of rock ‘n’ roll. In either case, you’re definitely not alone. There’s a seemingly huge divide between electronic music artists of today and, say, the organic sounds of The Doors. But guess what? Not anymore.

I woke up this morning and thought to myself, “Gosh, it’s been such a long time since I’ve heard about the Kardashians, I wonder what they’re up to. Kinda miss those krazies.” Actually, that’s a complete lie. We know exactly where they are and what they’re doing at all times. And miss them? As if.

So our (dream) BFF Courtney Stodden tweeted out a pic of herself this week and encouraged followers to “lie on the kitchen floor” and take pictures of themselves. Is this the new planking? Umm…Court, we heart you hardcore, but this is some serious weaksauce. As her favorite go-to pal, we here at CollegeCandy took her…flooring (?)… pic and transformed it into something magical.

We saw it with Prince William and Kate Middleton, Britney Spears and Jason Trawick, Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman…now Drew Barrymore is jumping on the bandwagon and getting engaged to her non-famous boyfriend, Will Kopelman. It all begs the question — could normal be the new normal?

If you’ve ever watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s and sighed, thinking to yourself, “I want to live as fabulously as Holly,” well have I got some good news for you. Scrape together your drinking money and start checking for change in the sofa cushions, ladies, because the Manhattan apartment Audrey Hepburn’s character famously lived in is for sale! I won’t mention that the asking price is $5.85 million.

Jenna Burke, one of the 25 women on this season of The Bachelor, is a self-proclaimed “over-analyst” by hobby and blogger by trade. It took me no time at all to whip out my trusty laptop and pull up Jenna’s site, TheOverAnalyst.net. Glancing at her home page, I almost had a heart attack. This was not a blog. Not a real one, at least. “SHAM!” I cried to myself, “She’s a SHAM!!”

Ladies, I think it’s time we learned as much as possible about Ms. Upton, relationship terrorist. Arm yourselves with knowledge and an even fiercer, lacier, whore-ier set of underwear. In a mix of “funny because it’s true” and “funny because that’s totally a dude pretending to be a girl and I’m immature enough to still giggle over that alone,” the Sh*t Girls Say YouTube series has been a pretty significant success. I’ve been eagerly awaiting a third installment, but kinda would have liked to have waited a little longer.

When you read the headline “Adele Shows Off Weight Loss After Throat Surgery,” do you do a double-take? Because, really, what do throat surgery and major weight loss have in common? As far as I can tell, not much. However, after looking through photos of Adele’s post-surgery self, it’s clear to see there’s…uh…less of her. Personally, I’m left wondering what kind of surgery she really had.
