The easiest way to get a “new” outfit and incorporate a color that’s not black without having to buy everything over from head to toe is to rock the staples you already have and add in one piece: The adorable rockin’ mini.

It’s that time of year again. And I’m not talking about football season. Or Pumpkin Spice Latte Season. I’m talking about that time of year when homework, sleeping in and, dare I say, football AND Pumpkin Spice Lattes, don’t even matter. All that matters are these five short words:

Here’s the deal, people. I love reality TV as much as the next person. I die over the fake words and ridiculous sayings that The Situation or Rachel Zoe come up with every week and immediately go ba-nanas figuring out how I will incorporate said words into my daily vernacular.

So it’s mid-September. (I know! What. The. Hell!?) And the weather is acting like a typical girl – not making up it’s mind. When you leave for class in the AM it’s hot and muggy and sweaty and so summer. But by mid-day the temp drops to a total chill leaving you wishing you had a coat (and a hot, caffeinated beverage) on hand.

And we all know that bracelets, particularly stacked bracelets, are always cute, always cool and can go with any outfit. We also know that oftentimes one bracelet can cost upwards of $100, making that cool, cute look – um – not possible.

So I barely look at my mail. Save for my magazines and some choice catalogs (J. Crew, Banana, Bloomies, to name a few), I hardly give my mail a second glance before tossing it in the growing pile on my desk. (What’s the point? Most f it is earth-killing junk mail from Bank of America anyway.) But the other day, staring at me like a beacon of light was a NEW catalog. Something I had never seen before.

To the man (actually, I have a feeling it was probably a woman with PMS) who first decided to mix salty and sweet all in the same bite, I tip my fedora to you. Why we don’t have a chapter dedicated to you in our history books (between the first space expedition and the Civil Rights movement), I’ll never know.

Military inspiration is everywhere this season. I mean, anyone who reads this website can see that. From t-shirts to jackets, bags to boots, everyone’s getting in on the camo fun. So, of course that means cargo pants are back

It’s no secret that my iPod is a home for all things Backstreet Boys. Teeny-bopper music has become a staple in my life since, well, the ’90s. And if it wasn’t for my friends filling me in on new artists (or Ben Savage sharing brand new songs), I would probably still only be listening to Ace of Base and O-Town. (And if it wasn’t for Apple, I would probably still be listening to them on my Discman.)

Look, I love the denim/chambray shirt as much as the next person who inhales everything the fashion magazines offer up, but sometimes I feel a little bit like one of the characters from Hey Dude when I try to pull it off with a pair of jeans.
