8 Under $20: Lulu’s
Lulu’s is one of my favorite online stores. They have a great selection of unique clothes and accessories from emerging designers. I love their dresses and jewelry the most, but they also have amazing tops, skirts, bags, shoes and more! And the best part is, their prices are pretty affordable! Check out my $20 and under picks, which are all available now at Lulu’s!
Web Spy: Clockblock
I have a confession: I’m sort of obsessed with lists. Whether it’s a shopping list, top 10 list or to-do list, organizing the things in my life into lists keeps me sane. But making lists really helps me out: I find if I don’t write out everything I have to do (errands, school work, chores at home, etc.), I’ll forget. I’ve recently discovered a new way to help me organize all the things on my to-do list: Clockblock.
8 Under $20: Texture
One trend that’s been popping up over and over again in stores and on runways the last few seasons is textured clothing. This could be items with appliqués, all-over beading or sequins, added ruffles or fringe, and even (hopefully faux) fur – anything that adds dimension and interest.
Web Spy: The Weekend Map
For many college students around the country, this is one of the last weekends of winter break — which means it’s the last time to have fun and party before the pressures of the school year start again. So what are you going to do to close it out with a bang? If you don’t have any plans yet, you should check out The Weekend Map for your closest city.
8 Under $20: Banana Republic Sale
Post-Christmas sales are some of the best opportunities to score great deals that you won’t find any other time of year. And what’s even better is getting amazing deals at pricier stores that you might not normally shop at! One great example is Banana Republic — right now, you can find some basics for your wardrobe for up to 50% off! Here are some of my favorites that are just $20 or less!
The Best Websites We Found This Year
We all know the internet is a big gigantic place (there are over 100 million sites!), but chances are you probably spend most of your time on the important ones, like CollegeCandy, Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc. That means you’re missing out on all the great other sites out there — unless you’ve been reading Web Spy!
8 Under $20: Silver and Gold
One of the most fun nights of the year, New Year’s Eve, is just a few days away, but don’t worry if you don’t have an outfit picked out yet! Here are some great outfit options for New Year’s in the perfect colors for the night — silver and gold. No matter where you are or what you do for New Year’s, you’ll want to sparkle, and all these pieces will help you do just that!
Web Spy: SaveOnBrew
It’s no secret that college students drink a lot of beer. And it’s also no secret that we’re all pretty broke, so often the money that we could be spending on our beloved beverage has to be spent on more “practical” things…like food or textbooks. Well, thanks to a new site that’s calling itself a “search engine for beer,” you’ll be able to save more money so you can afford beer and the other important things in life.
8 Under $20: Winter Brights
The rain, snow and sleet during this time of year can be depressing. So as gray days stretch on, add a splash of color to your ensemble! It’s both easy and affordable to switch out the dark shades in your wardrobe for happy colors instead. Your spirits will instantly be lifted! Check out these fun bright pieces to add to your wardrobe for just $20 each!
Web Spy: Salemarked
It’s common knowledge among anyone who knows me (or anyone who reads my posts) that I’m an online shopping addict. But I can’t afford to buy everything I find online, so I’m always on the lookout for great deals. If I find something I really like, I’ll keep checking back until there’s a sale or it goes on clearance. Now there’s a web app that does the work for me!
