The new trend in movie world seems to be “throw everyone likable in a movie and see what happens.” In the case of New Year’s Eve, it was an epic failure. But I mean, Jessica Biel, really? Isn’t it time to just let Mary Camden return to obscurity.

But anyways, back on topic, the trailer for Friends with Kids came out today and it includes an all-start ensemble cast of hilarious people. Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm, and Maya Rudolph alone make me want to buy a ticket right now. Throw in a few people from left field like Adam Scott (hello Parks and Rec people making it big) and Edward Burns and I’m already waiting in line at the theater.

Or I was. Then I watched the trailer and subsequently figured out the plot for the whole movie. But still, it looks good…check it out and let me know what you think.

Even though we’re all about living the carefree and wild life at CollegeCandy, we do have hearts. Somewhere inside our bodies. I mean, our doctors claim we do and after watching this super cutesy video we know we do. Just watch and you’ll see what we mean.

I’m a professional blog editor. I define the word thrifty on a daily basis. In fact, some days  I think I confuse thrifty with cheap…and occasionally even homeless-esque.  So I’m always shocked to find people who are living even more within a modest budget than me. Especially when that person is an A-list celebrity.

Yesterday Zooey Deschanel’s lawyer released her income and expense declaration. Not only did we find out she has three million dollars  just sitting around the bank, but she’s barely spending any of her $95,000 monthly income. She claims to only to spend $500 on eating out each month. Isn’t that like the cost of one dinner in LA? Oh and I should mention she donates money to charity on a regular basis.

Does this make Zooey my new favorite celebrity? Annoying voice, exaggerated quirks, and a weirdly spelled name aside, I think it does.

From a very early age, I had a love-hate relationship with actresses my age. I loved them because they were on TV and in the movies and oh so cool. And I hated them because they were on TV and in the movies and oh so cool. I can’t even begin to describe my complex emotions toward Amanda Bynes. We were the exact same age and she was somehow cast on All That while I was still stuck living as a suburban third grader.

Mara Wilson definitely fell into this love-hate category. She starred in so many great ’90s movies that are still aired every other weekend on TV: Matilda, Miracle on 34th Street and Mrs. Doubtfire. I mean Matilda?! I can’t even tell you how many hours I wasted trying to move things with my eyes. And then as quickly as Mara Wilson entered my life, she was gone.

But now, she’s back and she might be normal. She graduated from NYU in 2009 and just this month launched a blog! I shouldn’t be shocked. Of course we’re all bloggers: Matilda, Mara Wilson and me.

Are you still feeling sorry for yourself because you didn’t get everything you wanted for Christmas? Probably, right? I mean, you specifically asked for a new iPad and your parents were all like “we just got you an iPad last year, we’re not getting you a new one!”

No? Well you’re in the minority. Because tons of real people spent Christmas Day tweeting out their (please, please be parody) complaints. And then some musical mastermind turned those real tweets into a song. Enjoy!

Our friends over at TMZ got ahold of the Lohan family Christmas card (see it here) and despite LiLo’s unnaturally blonde hair, everything looks pretty normal. Too normal, in fact. Where is the drama? The framed restraining orders? The sleeveless mesh shirt?

Turns out he couldn’t make it to the family photo shoot because he was busy attending his court-ordered vacation at a rehab center in Florida. While I’d love to say that he’s a calm and rational man, capable of understanding why he was left out of the family card, I can’t.

Just when you think Ryan Gosling can’t get any more amazing, he goes and gets himself a new meme. And not just any meme, it’s a Hannukah themed meme. It’s like the dreidel keeps falling on gimmel and my heart is collecting all the gelt. (Whoever understands that reference wins my last leftover Bat Mitzvah party favor. What is it? I had an unhealthy addiction to Oregon Trail in elementary school. The second that screen popped on up my window, my morals went out the window.

Hell yeah, I’ll be a banker. There’s nothing more important in the world than money.

Shoot extra bison even thought I very well know I can’t carry it all back to the wagon. No duh.

Leave my grandmother to die because she’s slowing us down with her damn cholera. I never looked back.

And then I grew up. Or maybe not grew up as much as learned how to play the Sims. If you think controlling someone’s life changing journey across America puts you on a power trip, spend ten minutes playing the Sims. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t still have a soft spot for Oregon Trail. That’s why I clicked on this article as soon as I saw the title and decided to share it with you.

Most guys get to college and lose their virginity faster than you can say “Mom, just leave already and stop reorganizing my shower caddy!” Let’s be honest, having a V-Card on top of a freshman ID card is social suicide. At least, according to all the guys who claimed to lose it their freshman year of high school (Can we all say together: yeah right!). But there are some guys that not only wait for the right girl, but they wait all the way to marriage. Like Tim Tebow.

Tim Tebow is famous for two things. Being an amazing football player and being a virgin. I don’t watch football, nor do I watch Virgin Diaries and even I know that. So after hearing his name nonstop this week I decided it was time to take action and take his virginity.
