Cannes Film Festival is underway and that means celebs are strutting their stuff on the international red carpet. Yesterday, in support of AIDS research, stars donned their swankiest ensembles at the amfAR Cinema Gala. Sequins, stilettos and a good cause? What’s not to love! We’ve got our favorite fashions of the evening rounded up here for you to peruse. Sandra Bullock is looking pretty freakin’ amazing, if we can say so ourselves.

After a two week adventure on the Mediterranean Seas, I thought about what made my journey unforgettable. Yes, the azure water and volcanic mountains left me speechless, but what I found most alluring were the hidden treasures that I found in places that were once home to ancient empires, gods and goddess, shipwrecks, and sea creatures.

It’s really more fun when you can shrug off the whole tourist agenda and dive head-first into your travels. So how exactly does one assimilate into a new culture? Well, I’ve got some of my tried and true tips gathered here so you can embark on your own adventure!

Of course we all look forward to sunning ourselves at the beach, working on our tans, relaxing and checking out the view (or views), but let’s be honest. We LOVE stalking the celebrities who take to the beach. It’s so fun seeing who looks good this year, who’s going where and, most importantly, who’s kissing who. Well don’t fret, I’ve done some of the research for you.

These celebrities are looking fierce this year out there on the sand, in the waves and on the waves (private yachts!?).  Not surprisingly, they’re rocking their itty bitty bathing suits…even Marc Jacobs hopped on that band wagon! Time to sit back and enjoy and begin to get extremely jealous.  Don’t worry, summer is right around the corner!

I love cooking and finding new recipes, but my organization system could use a little work. Right now it’s nonexistent — all my recipes are either in a bookmarked page of a cookbook, copied from a magazine and stuffed into a folder, or housed on Evernote or Pinterest. I may have finally found a way to keep it all under control, however, with Forkchop.

Forkchop helps you keep all your recipes in one place by allowing you to import them from various website and magazines. Once you have all your recipes uploaded to the system, it’s easy to search and  keep them all organized. You can add in your own recipes or import them from anywhere on the web via their bookmarklet.

Forkchop also allows you to take notes when cooking (so if a you make any changes or additions) or make changes to the recipe itself (in case the recipe calls for more onion than you’d care for or you find that the if the baking time isn’t quite right) and save them all to the system as well.

One of my favorite features of Forkchop, though, is the shopping list feature. Choose a recipe from your list and click “add to shopping list.” Forkchop then adds all the ingredients to a shopping list automatically! You can also add in other ingredients or import the ingredients from another recipe with just a few more clicks, then easily pull the list up on your phone when you’re at the store.

Memorial day marks the first real tease of the summer season. Cut-off shorts, sun glasses and cold beer become acceptable attire for just about any occasion, making this my absolute favorite time of year. Day parties turn into night parties that turn into dawn parties, and this beautiful cycle repeats every single weekend. It’s heavenly. This past weekend, CollegeCandy had the opportunity to fly out to the Adobe Headquarters to learn all about the new Creative Suite 6. There are a lot of super cool features that are new to CS6, including a Creative Cloud option where you pay a monthly student-friendly rate and have access to all the entire suite of programs online. Pretty neat — and affordable — right? Yup, we thought so too.

When Facebook went public on Friday, we learned that Mark Zuckerberg added $16 billion to his bank account. At 28 years old, Zuckerberg was already worth a few billion. This got us to thinking about what all you could buy with $20 billion dollars. It became immediately apparent that the better question was what you could NOT buy with $20 billion. Part of the fun and adventure in college is being broke. It means you have to get pretty creative with your time. But let your mind wonder for a second about what a college student could do with all that cash…

Well, Memorial Day weekend is coming up, and everyone knows what that means.  Its beach time!  Time to lather up, lay out, drink up, and stay out.  Its the real beginning of summer, the hazy days and the crazy nights. But for those of us who can’t quite make it ALL the way to the beautiful beach this weekend, there’s always those pictures (and people) we can live vicariously through…

This past weekend CollegeCandy jumped aboard planes, trains and automobiles to get to NYC’s first ever Electric Daisy Carnival. For those of you who don’t know, EDC is three days of the world’s top DJs coming together to put on the ultimate electronic music festival. And there are rides. So basically after you jump around to music like a crazy person decked out in neon, you can go on a ferris wheel. Because why not.

Even better than the music and rides, however, are the people of EDC. Believe me when I say I had never seen so many people walking around in underwear, fur boots and fairy wings acting like it was totally normal.

In trying to convey the craziness of the weekend, where better to turn to than the attendees themselves? Scanning Twitter proved that there are some amazing photos out there and I grabbed some of the best ones here to give you an idea of what went down.
