Living with people is hard. Living with people in a very small space is even harder. Whether your roommate is your bestest friend in the whole world or she’s some stranger you got matched up with, you’re going to eventually have problems. That’s why we’re launching our brand new Ask a Roommate Youtube series. Every Wednesday night, Marysa will be answering YOUR roommate questions.

There’s no accessory more essential for a college girl than a cell. It is THE major form of communication in college and there’s really no better way to make plans, organize parties and stay in touch with friends on the go. Oh and how else would you be able to send casual 2 am texts to the person you like? “Oh hey, what are you up to? Yeah, let’s definitely watch a movie right now. At 2 am. Your roommates aren’t home, right?”

My lovely and selfish decision to do something that makes me happy has been…drum roll…SUCH a relief. I was so afraid before I jumped the gun on getting my life moving the way I wanted to. But being afraid isn’t going to rob your happiness once it’s over. It’s going to water it. Water it like a bed of flowers. And you will bloom.

A presentation by the American Psychological Association on college drinking recently released some statistics that may make you spit our your beer: 1. College students intend to drink to get drunk, and 2. College students use alcohol as an excuse for hooking up. Yeah. When I said you were going to spit out your beer, I meant because you’d be laughing with me.

My Body Gallery aims to change women’s perceptions of their bodies by showing what real women of all shapes and sizes look like. The site is a searchable gallery of pictures of real women, along with their heights, weights and clothing sizes. As the site says, “In a world full of images of how we ‘should’ look it can get difficult to tell how we DO look.”

The Hills are back! But hopefully in a version I won’t be ashamed to tell people I watch. Turns out MTV is launching a new series this October called Heroine (the name is a bit much, the girl’s not saving the world, or Anna Wintour) about a Pittsburgh gal, Chelsea Settles, who is moving to Los Angeles to make it in the fashion world.

As this is the September issue, the mag is about three times heavier than usual, which means there are three times as many ads to dig through to get to the actual content. That said, I did want nearly every piece of makeup and clothing featured, so I can’t really hate too hard this time around. That made up for the questionable articles in the issue.

I’m always hearing women praise the quality, longevity and overall appeal of high-priced cosmetics, but after splurging once or twice on a whim, I can honestly say I prefer to stick with the drugstore basics.

Sure, we all love an E! True Hollywood Story marathon, some late-night Chelsea Handler or some laughs with the incredibly sexy Joel McHale, but after six seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and three different spin-off shows, it’s become almost impossible to turn on that channel without seeing one of the infamous Armenian princesses.

High school, that little local bubble of a world (unless you’re in an out of state school for one reason or another). A lot of couples are practically tied to the hip when graduation comes and then there’s the decision that has to be made: “Do I take the relationship to college with me?”
