Summer in the City: Welcome to NYC

This summer a dream internship with Lucky magazine moved me from Austin, Texas, where I’ve spent all 21 years of my life, to New York City for the summer. Come along for the ride and follow me through this column as I take on all that the city has in store for me. I’ll share tips I’ve picked up along the way about everything from how to pack (stop, drop and roll people!) to dating to fitting in (or standing out) and so much more.

How Much is too Much? Your Official Summer PDA Guide

Now that Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez have PDA’d all over Hawaii this past weekend, it really got me thinking: how much is too much? Everyone has their own thoughts on PDA. Some love it, some can’t stand it, and others just don’t give a crap! But the truth is, it’s everywhere! And with the weather warming up, so are our hormones.

The 10 Best (empowering) Break-up Songs!

Doesn’t every break-up seem like a scene straight out of a movie? Even though you know it’s coming, you’re shocked and hurt when it actually happens. Then you tell your girlfriends. Then you sulk around the house eating ice cream and watching Titanic and The Notebook over and over again. Then, cue the depressing love songs. Nope! Not this time.

He Said/She Said: Gettin’ Down with Goin’ Down

My best friend and I have a lot in common. We both love baked ziti, shoes, Robin Williams movies and playing with makeup. 10 Trends I Hope Never Come Back

I consider myself a fashionista, a fashion enthusiast, a clothing connoisseur. I keep up with the trends using my two favorite outlets: a fashion glossy and Twitter. And when I’m walking down the street and see that glam girl rocking the maxi dress I’ve had my eye on for weeks? I’m no happy camper. But there’s one thing I consider worse — walking down the street and feeling the need to check what century I’m in because of a particularly “out there” ensemble.
