Minka Kelly is such a regulation hottie. And she will forever have a place in my heart, not only for being in Friday Night Lights (the only time I will ever care even a little about football), but for the delightfully, absurdly cheesy cinematic masterpiece The Roommate. She has a pretty unassuming style that is fun, cute, and totally appropriate for the average college girlie.

We’re seeing feminine silhouettes and polka dots making their way back into our closets. With this era of fashion comes the pin-up girl look: high shorts, cardigans, wedges. Flirty, but not too sexy, is definitely how I would describe this look.

Living in a college town typically makes partying Tuesday-Saturday an acceptable after school activity. This is thrilling and all, but the more I go out, the more I begin to realize how skanky the typical “going out” look has become. Sure, we’re all young with hot bods, but when did style become a free show of goodies?

In my opinion, Nicole Richie has amazing style and can pretty much pull off anything. I think she’s the master at accessories (apparently she has more Chanel bags than should be allowed by law) and always looks polished.

Thandie Newton is one of those actresses who steadily works, and even occasionally snags some high-profile gigs (Mission Impossible II, ER, Crash), and yet, she never really crosses the threshold into A-list territory. Totally unfortunate, since she’s a great actress and, I mean, hello, she’s utterly gorgeous.

I loved Easter when I was a kid, because besides all the candy, it always meant I got to pick out a brand-new dress to wear to church. We combed the internet, looking at the most risque prom dresses out there. After careful analysis, we’ve come to a conclusion. These dresses aren’t sexy. They’re just ugly.

If you think about it, does a guy truly care if you’re carrying an LV Speedy vs. a Gucci Boston or a regular school logo tote? Can he really notice the difference between your mint green polish vs. the standard light green? As much painstaking detail that we occasionally put into our outfits, sometimes I genuinely wonder if it pays off.
