Perhaps the most shocking of all, however, is that we’re not really talking about these kids from Orange County anymore. Sure, they were hot back in the day. Yeah, we all thought they were going to grow up to be Hollywood superstars…but really, where are they now?

Wowza! This week has been quite the whirlwind.

Is Lindsay going to jail? Does she think it’s totally unfair and tell everyone via her Twitter ramblings?
Is Mel Gibson even more crazy than we thought?

Yes, yes, and yes! While there aren’t a ton of new developments this week, what’s been developing just keeps getting developier better. Not for the celebs so much – I mean, unless Lindsay is super geeked to wear a jumpsuit for 3 months – but for us because it gives us plenty to talk about/make fun of. Yay?

Why are celebs so stupid?

1. Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days (or more!) in jail, rehab after that, and 1 year of random drug testing! Hooray, it’s about time! Girlfriend needs some MAY-JAH help. LiLo broke down in court, but I think it’s just her acting skills (and you can’t deny she’s a good actress). She thought she was going to get off with a slap on the wrist. Well, that’s what happens when you wear a nice F*** U manicure to court, Ms. Lohan. Get.It.Together. Lindsay has hired a new attorney and is appealing the court’s decision because she doesn’t believe her sentence is fair.

2. Poor Oksana Grigorieva. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is now investigating Mel Gibson for domestic violence after a recording has surfaced of Mel telling Oksana that she “f****** deserved it.” No, he wasn’t talking about some sparkly diamond bracelet he got her for being such a lovely woman; he’s, of course, referring to punching her in the face. There have been numerous recordings of Gibson making horrendous racist remarks, and this just makes it worse. We’re on Team Oksana for sure, but I think even the most vile creature on earth (Spencer Pratt?) would side with her.

3. NBA star LeBron James is joining the Miami Heat! Basketball fans sat around for hours last night waiting for the big guy to make his decision. LeBron decided to leave the Cavaliers after a disappointing season, and people have been closely watching him – while teams get on their knees and beg for him – to figure out where he’d go next. He’s joining the Heat along with Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. They’ll be awfully close to those Kardashians in Miami. I have a feeling Kim will be checking in on Dash a little more often now.

4. Mary J. Blige is going back to school! She got her high school diploma from New York back in the day and now she’ll be attending Howard University, class of 2014. What a great role model! Mary is 39 with a seriously successful music career, yet she’s still going to get her college degree. Props!

5. Soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo is having a baby. From a surrogate. That he paid to keep quiet. What?! OK, totes not sure on this. Cristiano is dating model Irina Shayk who seems to have no problem with the new baby daddy situation. Some reports are suggesting that the baby mama is a woman Cristiano slept with and is paying to stay out of the picture. Some are saying it’s a surrogate. I don’t know what to believe, but congrats?

Less Stupidity

1. Rachel Dratch from SNL is having a baby! Congrats to you, funny lady!

2. Rumors flew this week that Taylor Lautner was joining the cast of X-Men… but he’s not. This makes me sad. Taylor Lautner shirtless is delicious, but Taylor Lautner in one of those rubbery suits with the sculpted abs? Wait, what was I saying?

3. Jennifer Aniston is supposedly dating actor Chris Gartin, who is almost divorced from his wife. Her reps deny it but we’re onto you, Jen! And we’re happy. He seems to be a lot better than some of those other dudes…

4. Rihanna’s tours aren’t selling out, so she’s canceling! She canceled in Atlanta and Denver, and more are likely to follow. Uh oh! I wonder why no one’s buying?

5. He’s not shirtless, but who’s more sexy than Seth Cohen aka Adam Brody?!

When real-world guys just don’t do it for us (like when they string us along and make us think they want something only to send us an IM saying they’re not looking for something serious….Sorry, I’m bitter), we love to escape to our favorite TV shows and live vicariously through the ladies with great boyfriends, even with all the baggage and dramz. There’s just something about leading men that makes us go crazy with adoration/jealousy/excitement/OMG-THEY-FINALLY-GOT-TOGETHER!

Oh, and the guys on TV are usually so. damn. cute.

But with all the amazing TV shows out there and their equally amazing hunks, how do you pick one to swoon over? I know, it’s a tough choice, but this guide might help you decide which boy is right for you:

Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls)

When Jess first arrives in Stars Hollow, it’s obvious that he and Rory are going to collide somehow. And when they finally do, after a tumultuous season full of romantic tension, it is awesome. I’m extremely biased, but Jess is, and will forever be, the ultimate TV boyfriend. Sarcastic and mysterious, yet intelligent and (in his own way) caring, Jess is simply the ideal man. Who can resist a leather jacket-clad guy with a Hemingway novel in his back pocket?

Ryan Atwood (The O.C.)

At the start of the series, we get a taste of how bad boy Ryan is going to shake up the posh community of Newport Beach, California that leaves us begging for more. He meets Marissa Cooper, the girl next door, and thus begins a whirlwind romance. Ryan eventually steals Marissa from her banal beau Luke, and our hearts sing when they share their first kiss. Although he comes from a troubled past, he’s really a sweet guy with a caring heart underneath it all.

If you like…a loveable geek:

Seth Cohen (The O.C.)

Seth Cohen made being a nerd a cool thing when the show first debuted. From Batman comics to Dynasty Warriors video games, Seth just screams geek. And yet, Summer still falls for him, as do we all. It’s inevitable, really; he’s sweet, sensitive, and is just too damn cute to resist when he starts rambling. Plus, a Spiderman-style upside down kiss? Isn’t that every girl’s fantasy…and not just mine?

Jim Halpert (The Office)

It’s a familiar story: two best friends who have feelings for each other and, after a long, tormented struggle, finally get together and live happily ever after. Somehow, the writers of The Office managed to skillfully weave such a fairy tale storyline into the mockumentary aspect of the show. They also managed to make Jim absolutely perfect while still grounding him in reality. He’s smart, funny, adorable, and a total sweetheart, even if he is a bit on the dorkier side. But, like Pam, we love him that way!

If you like…the artistic type:

Lucas Scott (One Tree Hill)

Whether you wanted him to end up with Brooke or Peyton, you have to admit that Lucas Scott is one fine specimen of a man. He may have been an athlete in his high school heyday, but in his heart he’s always been a writer. He has the brooding artist thing down perfectly – and it never fails to make us swoon! It’s no surprise that three women on the show (plus the millions of fans out there) all want a piece of him for themselves.

Charlie Pace (Lost)

What is it about a boy with a guitar that drives us crazy? Well, if he’s Charlie Pace, we have other reasons to swoon like mad. It’s easier to overlook his troubled past when you see him with Claire, caring for her and for Aaron as if he were his own son. In addition to being a brooding artist, he’s a real sweetheart. And the accent…oh, that accent!

If you like…someone out-of-this-world:

Max Evans (Roswell)

Roswell may have been a short-lived and little-known show, but the romance between human Liz Parker and alien Max Evans was cosmic in scale. Imagine dating an alien with amazing powers such as healing! Not to mention the complex inner-workings of Max Evans that made him a completely human character in a different way. He’s shy and quiet, more of the sensitive type, and completely in love with Liz. If only I had a guy like that! I could watch the pilot’s opening scene over and over…

Bill Compton (True Blood)

The recent vampire trend has graced both the silver and small screens with un-dead hotties. (Editor’s Note: Anyone else think those two words would never be strung together in a sentence?) But the hottest of them all has to be Bill Compton of True Blood. Besides being, well, gorgeous, he’s a well-mannered gent who dearly loves his human girlfriend and will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Sure, his language is a bit antiquated, but he can’t help it; he was turned into a vampire when he was a soldier in the Civil War. And I happen to think his old-fashioned vocabulary adds to his charm. I don’t know about you all, but he could call on me any time he wants to!

If you like…a guy who’ll make you feel good better:

Derek Shepherd (Grey’s Anatomy)

McDreamy truly lives up to his nickname on Grey’s Anatomy. He’s a charming, handsome, intelligent doctor – and, conveniently, a bachelor (after his divorce goes through, of course!). Meredith really hit the jackpot with Derek, even if she doesn’t always realize it. Their relationship is proof that something good can come of a drunken one-night-stand, although you have to make sure to go to the bar near the hospital where all the doctors hang out.

Christopher Turk (Scrubs)

Turk and Carla’s romance on Scrubs is often overshadowed by Turk and JD’s bromance, but if you look hard enough, you see a sweet love story. Turk may be somewhat of a buffoon (especially when JD is in the picture), but at heart, he’s a great guy and loves Carla. Plus, a sense of humor is an absolute necessity when it comes to a guy. Turk has plenty of it, so if you like to clown around with your man, he’s not a bad choice at all. He can also be quite sentimental when the situation calls for it.

If you like…a party animal:

Chuck Bass (Gossip Girl)

When it comes to Chuck Bass, you either love him or hate him. Although he often is a disgusting pig of a man, you have to admit that he has style. Chuck Bass parties only with the best, so if you’re sole purpose is to have a good time, get on the guest list to one of Bass’s bashes. If he likes you, he’ll make sure you have the time of your life. In fact, he’ll guarantee it. Oh, did you feel that shiver down your spine?

Happy Hanukkah, people!

In honor of the eight days of Hanukkah, we decided to do a tribute to our 8 favorite Hanukkah celebrators (also known as Jews). But then we decided that 8 just wasn’t enough; there are too many good ones! So, we upped it to eight Jews for each of the eight days.

Yes, it’s a lot of Jewish, but let’s be real – Hanukkah gets totally ignored this time of year, so we thought it would be nice to give a little shout-out to the people not dreaming of a white Christmas. You know, the ones dreaming of a little Mu Shu on Christmas eve. Click on any of our favorite Jews to see why we love em so much (and why anyone – Jew or non Jew – will love them too!).

Remember that crazy, desperate college grad student from Sacramento who tried to sell her virginity to pay for her student loans (I guess working and saving is just not as profitable)?

Well, looks like she inspired someone because after Johnny No Name blew away the severance pay he was offered when he was let go from his investment banking firm position, he decided to move on to selling his gay virginity online — because whoring yourself out is the must have job of the year.

What is gay virginity, anyway? According to him, it’s a hand job and/or blow job, but absolutely no anal (at least not part of this specific deal), because he’s not gay. Sure, keep telling yourself that.

The real comedy comes when he swears to the bidders he is “HOT” and looks like Adam Brody. Well Johnny, if you’re so “HOT,” maybe you should try to model your way out of debt instead of selling a hand and blow job.

…Just a suggestion.

It may or may not shock you, but where there is one desperate person there is of course a few more; currently Johnny No Name has a high bid of $11,000.

You gotta loves those brothels in Nevada and Rhode Island, thanks to them this is all perfectly legal. I wonder if Mr. No Name’s plane ticket from New York to Nevada is included in the bid?

This is just another piece of evidence that shows how far people will go for money and sex. Would you sell your body to pay off thousands of dollars of student loans?

If all the nerdy guys looked like that, you’d be hard pressed to find a dork without a leading lady.

Although the “unlikely” character always gets the girl in the movies, its usually not so in real life. And it’s these unlikely Hollywood celebs that have made an unlikely impression on the general public: people think they’re sexy.

Seth Rogen is the one on the list that is really a no-brainer. He was the chubby awkward pothead in Knocked Up that made Katherine Heigl, and America, love him. So of course he would make the Most Unlikely to Be Sexy list.

And if you saw him in Judd Apatow’s two other films, 40 year Old Virgin and Superbad, then you loved him before Knocked Up and you certainly love him after.

The other on the list is Tina Fey—smart, funny and HOT. Come to think of it, shouldn’t she be on the most likely sex symbol list??

Anyways, as much as Seth Rogen is obvious, the others on the list are not. I have taken it upon myself to list them in my own order (since MSNBC didn’t give them one). And honestly, who doesn’t like a countdown or a list from a list?

Not that I’m dumping on these celebs. They are all wonderful actors and actresses and I respect them all in their own right. In fact, I think it’s pretty awesome that when some Americans think of sexy, they think of the whole package—personality, talent and wisdom—before just conventional looks.

It’s not I don’t think these stars are hot—it’s more that I’m surprised about the answer these people gave. Because, for once, the real perspective of the American people has been shown.

For a while I was beginning to think we were all just a bunch of superficial assholes. I guess sometimes, people can surprise you.

I’d heard practically everyone on campus raving about it, but I wasn’t really up for getting into another silly show about high school — I mean, didn’t Saved by the Bell, 90210 and Dawson’s Creek cover that?

Anyway, I caved … well, I was told I wasn’t allowed anymore wine unless I watched. And I don’t know if it was my buzz, but when Seth Cohen appeared on my TV, cute, funny, curly-hairer and all, I was totally hot for him.

So obviously, I got hooked. And although The O.C. has officially died (thank god because it really sucked after Marissa left), I remain a dedicated Adam Broday fan. And when I saw a commercial about his upcoming film In the Land of Women, I got super excited. A romantic comedy with my man? Could it be anymore perfect?

The movie hits theaters Friday April 20th and I’ll be the first one in line sporting my “I heart Seth” t-shirt (no, not really).
