The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo: December 21st

It’s the highly anticipated movie based on the best-selling book, and even if you didn’t read it, it’s still a solid mystery/thriller film. Directed by David Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network), starring Daniel Craig and introducing Rooney Mara, who just earned a Golden Globe nomination for this role.

The Flowers of War: December 21st (limited release)

Directed by Zhang Yomou (Hero, House of Flying Daggars), Christian Bale stars in China’s “non-foreign foreign film” about an American priest who helps save the lives of Chinese citizens during the Nanjing Massacre. And it better be good: The Flowers of War is the most expensive movie ever made in Chinese history.

In The Land Of Blood And Honey: December 23rd

Why the heck hasn’t Angelina Jolie come out with a third Tomb Raider movie yet? She’s been writing and directing (her directorial debut!) In The Land Of Blood And Honey, a romance between a Bosnian Muslim woman and a Serbian army officer during the Bosnian War. Croatian journalist James Braddock accused Jolie of stealing the plot from his book published in 2007, but she denies ever having seen the book. Ever. Even though the premises are incredibly similar.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close: December 25th

The film based on the best-seller by Johnathan Safran Foer stars Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock. Warning: you will cry, since it’s about a boy who begins an amazing and unique search after his father dies in the 9/11 attacks, in the same way you were affected by the other movies that Stephen Daldry has directed (The Reader, The Hours, Billy Elliot).

The Iron Lady: December 30th

Meryl Streep has already collected nominations for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Judging from the trailer, it’s an ideal mixture between her roles and Julia Child in Julie & Julia and Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada, with just a hint of Donna’s self-doubt from Mamma Mia!.

Is Angelina Jolie A Vampire?

We’ve always known that Angie is pretty weird. I mean you can’t take back marrying Billy Bob Thornton or making-out-with-your-brother days. Recent stories reveal that she wanted to be a funeral director when she was younger, and that isn’t your typical dream career…for a woman. But is it a good career path for a vampire? We think so. We definitely admire her for her charity work as a Goodwill Ambassador, but maybe this is a cover up for the truth. If we see her out in the daylight, she’s always covered up. Perhaps to avoid the scalding sunlight? If we’ve learned anything from Twilight it’s that vampires are very pretty, and she hasn’t seemed to age in a while. Maybe because she’s stuck at the age when she was turned! She doesn’t do anything to disparage rumors about her, but how can she if they’re true?

One of her former staff members has come out with some other weirdness that leads us to believe, without a doubt, that Angelina Jolie could be a vampire…

The Brangelina brood is from a ton of different countries, but they also get to travel to what seems like every country on earth. I bet people get SO annoyed when they are on flights with Brangelina because what’s worse than a crying baby on a plane? Six kids crying/playing/having more money than you on a plane!

You’re 36 now and looking young as ever. Seriously, how do you look so young? I age every time I rush to turn in a term paper, yet you Benjamin Button every time you add a new kid to the fam.

CC Beauty Live: Cat Eyes Revisited

Oh cat eyes. We’ve seen you on everybody. We have seen you be too drastic on Jerseylicious and too sexy on Angelina. But what we aren’t seeing a lot of is the everyday cat eye. Which is weird because I consider the daytime cat eye to be a huge staple in my beauty routine. I love a cat eye almost as much as I love coffee, and that is a lot my friends. I’m so used to doing cat eyes that I forget it can be tricky to master.

Since you’ve all been requesting it, I wrangled up my favorite ways to achieve a more subtle, wearable cat eye. I’m talking you through it so hopefully you’ll be able to rock it in no time! It’s more about patience than anything else, especially if you’re using a liquid liner. I like to stick with more simple tactics. Just remember not to go too crazy and drag that wing out too far. It’s not Halloween quite yet.

I want to give another thanks to everyone supporting Alabama, we still need help but I also want to encourage you to support the other areas that have been affected.
