Of course, before we got to meet the new designers in the main event, we had a little taste of some of our favorite designers from previous seasons in the Project Runway All-Star Challenge. I was more than happy to spend two hours with Chris March, Santino Rice, Daniel Vosovic, among others, but after seeing the snooze-fest of a cast that is season six, I wish I hadn’t been teased with such greatness.

Yeah, I said it. I think this season’s cast is bo-to-the-ring. But we’ll get to that in a moment.

The All-Star challenge was star studded (Nicole Kidman, what?!), suspenseful (“Project Runway on steroids,” according to Uli), and fun to watch (except for Jeffrey’s new ‘stache – what the eff was up with that?). And it had a fantastic ending for my favorite designer in PR history, which I won’t share here in case some of you missed it. (It was Daniel! Sorry, I can’t keep it to myself. I just love him so much and he should have one the first time around!!)

Once King Daniel was crowned, it was time for the real deal: the Project Runway Season 6 premiere. I ran to the bathroom quickly (turning the TV up loud enough so I wouldn’t miss a moment), then grabbed a snack and settled in for amazingness.

And I waited.
And waited.

Yup. A full 60 mins went by and I got nothing. Sure, some of the new designers proved they had the talent to be on the show, and some of them brought the weird, but did any of them have a Christian/Santino/Jay McCaroll personality? One word: nopers.

Granted, I did enjoy watching the challenge. In fact, I was quite relieved when I heard it was to design an outfit that showcased who these people were as designers and innovators, because in the past the crazy-weird challenges sometimes led to early dismissals of people that could’ve stayed longer. This was an open challenge and really let us see what each of these designers were about. And what did we learn?

Apparently Johnny is all about crying.
Ari is all about being a super-freak.
And Mitchell is all about showing off his model’s lady parts.

And who got to judge all this madness coming down the runway? None other than Lindsay Freaking Lohan. As in repeat-rehab, fire-crotch, tanorexic Lohan. I couldn’t believe it! Lindsay Lohan…was working! And she looked good! And she spoke eloquently! And I seriously had issues wrapping my mind around the fact that this girl – the queen of the crotch shot – was judging other people’s designs. But she did a great job and gave some pretty good feedback.

Even to freakaleak, Ari.

For a moment I thought she was going to love that spacey soccer ball design because:
1) It’s super short, which is perfect for vajayjay flashing, and
2) Ari looks JUST. LIKE. SAMANTHA RONSON. Did anyone else see that? OMG, it was eery.

Anyways, Christopher ended up winning the challenge because of his cute black ruffle dress (which was one of the only memorable ones, right?), but I also LOVED Ra’mon’s (love his name too) navy asymmetrical gown. It just screamed Red Carpet.

And while I’m sad the biggest freak of all got sent home (seriously, that girl wanted to make clothes that could turn into tents with water filtration systems??), I’m not sure I could handle her spandex onesies for another episode. Auf….er…See ya later, Ari!

I’ve had the pleasure to write a handful of College Candy’s Guys We Wanna Eff, and as a red-blooded twentysomething female it’s certainly not a difficult task to write about the hottest male stars. But I have to preface the ode to this week’s man of honor by saying I would trade in a year’s worth of paychecks and possibly Spring Break for one night with Rahm Emanuel. He takes the number-one spot on my Eff List. That’s right, I said it!

While Joe Biden (who, may I say, looks A-OK for a man of 66) is technically second-in-command behind President Obama, Rahm Emanuel occupies what many call “the second most powerful job in Washington” as the White House Chief of Staff. The position labels him as the highest-ranking officer of the Executive Branch (after the President), as well as Obama’s senior advisor. Before joining the new administration, Emanuel was a Congressman representing Chicago in the House of Representatives. Now, what woman doesn’t want to eff a man in power?

“Rahmbo” isn’t just a stiff politician, however. Did you know he studied ballet throughout childhood and college? Totally true; his mom still wishes he were a dancer! He followed his career in dance with a short stint as a civilian volunteer for the Israeli Defence Forces, and his brother Ari is the inspiration for Jeremy Piven’s character on Entourage. The man gets around–in a good way!

But it’s his feisty personality that really gets me going. He is known among politicos as “The Enforcer” for his ability to get things done. His way. Rahm once mailed a dead fish to a pollster he didn’t quite get along with back in the day–how’s that for teaching others not to eff with him? (Effing me, however, is a different story.)

To me, Rahm is one sharp-shooting silver fox who’s had me begging for a little effing action ever since I saw his dark bedroom eyes and wry, snarky grin. Oh, and I can’t help but love a man with a dirty mouth. He was once quoted as saying, “‘Rahm’ …roughly translated from Hebrew, means ‘go screw yourself.’” (Can I get your help with that?)

But to recap, the man’s a dancer (read: he’s flexible), he has megawatt connections to Hollywood (via his bro, Ari) as well as everyone in politics, he’s a smart-alec success who still can pull off frat-boy pranks (dead fish!) with pizzazz. In the words of Rahm, what more could you effing want?

While Ari, E and Vince’s storylines took a backseat, it was Turtle and Drama that had their day in the sun…er, night under the moon, I should say. Which was nice, because it definitely changed things up a bit for the boys.

Turtle goes to get Drama’s car detailed and cleaned, and while he’s there, he meets a cute girl who shares his interest in trendy sneakers. Hey, everybody’s got their thing, right? She’s into him (I guess Turtle is cute, in a teddy bear kinda way) and after convincing her intimidating father, who owns the car shop, to let him take his daughter out, Turtle leaves with a hot car and a hot date. Nice to see he can score the chicks without Vince by his side!

Is Entourage losing its’ steam?

Meanwhile, Drama wakes up to find his new TV show has been reviewed by all of the critics and he refuses to read them. He instead decides to relax at a “massage parlor” and is so distressed while his masseuse is “doing her thing” that he can’t “finish the deed.” Catch my inuendos? He has to read his review in Variety, and it’s not good. The best scene of the entire episode is Drama furiously heading down to the Variety headquarters and hunting down and reeming out the critic who always seems to give him horrible reviews. But it’s not just this critic who hates it; it’s every critic. Seems like Drama can’t catch a break, and even his so-fresh, so-clean car doesn’t help. He drives off, has a breakdown and ends up in Arizona where he spends the night wallowing in his crappy acting skills. Poor Drama! I love this guy.

In the end, Drama wakes up in his car as the boys call him to find out where the hell he’s been, and also to inform him that his show is a hit! Turns out it got great ratings. Should be interesting to see the dynamic between him and Vince, now that there’s more than one celebrity in the house.

Speaking of the house, it seems like the boys are gonna have to move out and find a smaller place – they’ll have less money to spend now that they bought the Mediian script for 5 million bucks! Like usual, Vince spends most of his time trying to get his dream movie made about Pablo Escobar. Ari and E are faithfully on his side, going back and forth with the money backers and producers – they have the script, and then they don’t. They have a chance and then they don’t. Vince decides to play hard ball for once, and with E’s money, they buy the script themselves and take on the challenging role of producers. Ari gets his favorite client back, as Vince agrees to resign with his company for all of the hard work Ari has been putting in to help.

Finally, Vince has a real shot at making this movie, which is good, because this storyline was getting too drawn-out and annoying. Now he can finally shut up, stop whining and just take off his shirt already.

After a day at the horse races, Drama falls in love with one of the horses, and although his particular horse failed to take first place, he falls in love with it and buys it off of the trainer in fear the horse will be taken to the glue factory. Hmmm…in love with a horse? That reminds me….Just kidding.

The horse is hauled back to the casa and ends up running out the gates. Definitely too much responsibility for these guys. Drama gives the horse away as a gift to his TV director, Ed Burns, whose daughter is more than happy to take the horse off his hands. Whatever! I love animals, but if someone dropped off a horse on my front lawn and said, “Look what I bought! It’s for YOU!” I would be pretty pissed to say the least. But I don’t even have a front lawn, so I guess I have nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile, it’s Yom Kippur for the Gold household. Ari and his family are spending the day at synogogue when he gets word that the movie Vince has been dying to land for two years might be back on. But there’s only one problem – Ari is no longer Vince’s agent, and Amanda, his new agent, refuses to believe that the movie is possible. The episode is all about Ari trying to get Vince on board, Amanda to help out, and avoiding his wife who won’t let him talk on his beloved cell phone on a holy day. You gotta hand it to him; he’s one hell of a multi-tasker.

In the end, the movie is a no-go. The head of the project backs out. Vince comes to the conclusion that Amanda has been so hesitant about the movie because she wanted him all to herself instead of sending him off to anothery country to shoot for six months. After realizing that Amanda is actually a better and more caring agent than he thought, and isn’t some love-struck puppy, he feels like an idiot. Only, it’s too late. She leaves him at the restaurant and says that “it’s time to say goodbye,” which can only mean that she’s dumping him as not only a sex buddy, but as a client.

Next week, the movie is once again back on. Geez, will they just start making it already? It’s getting annoying, this back and forth thing. And will Vince just re-hire Ari again? He obviously wants to. Why are they playing these stupid games? Ugh! I’m so aggrivated. I think it’s my hangover talking. Note to self: next Cinco de Mayo, no margaritas.

Yea, right.

While Drama is paranoid about getting “got” on Pauly Shore’s Punk’d-esque TV show, he finds himself in a showdown with actual ultimate fighting champion, Chuck Liddell. You do not want to piss this guy off. Little does he know, Liddell is in on the prank, and after humiliating Drama in the fighting ring (and scaring the crap out of him) The Weasel himself appears to catch him on camera, and Drama relishes in the fact he will be on two television premieres in one week. Oh, that Drama…what would we do without him?

In the meantime, E learns of Vince and Amanda, his agent, and the love affair they had last week. These two are totally into eachother, and E thinks it’s totally unprofessional. I agree, but two people that hot are going to hook up, inevitably. It’s definitely going to cause a rift in their working relationship, but as of now, Vince has one thing on his mind, and it’s not work. The flirting between them is nonstop during the entire episode, and they both realize that they “like” eachother. Oh, that Amanda…how jealous I am of thee.

And then we have Ari. When his old college buddy comes to visit, the disgusting, offensive frat guy he and his wife once knew has turned into a sensitive millionnaire who scored a hot, young, blonde fiancee. Needless to say, Ari is jealous and insecure that his own wife isn’t satisfied with him, and of course, it all comes out when the four of them are having dinner. Ari is insecure? Who knew? Oh, that Ari…obnoxious, but in an endearing kind of way.

Next week, we’ll get to see Ari attempting to win Vince back again with the chance at his dream movie role, and how this causes problems with his new love interest/agent Amanda. Should be quite interesting. But, I don’t think Vince will be in the bathtub for a second week in a row. And sorry, no Pauly Shore next week, either. Buuuuuuuddy.

Last night’s Entourage was a good one! The writers cleverly have Ari redeem himself after disappointing the fellas one too many times, by saving his lovable assistant, Lloyd, from what could have been a sticky situation. Literally. (Ew) The episode is all about the art of convincing.

While E and Vince plan a “couples” weekend to Napa, Turtle and Drama decide to score some chicks at the dog park. Clever, boys! They spend the day trying desperately to get laid by two girls, but when their dogs get in a fight, all the girls do is worry about their mangled pooch. Turtle and Drama are unsuccessful. No wonder these two are always kissing Vince’s ass – they need him around!

E’s girlfriend, Sloan, decides she wants her man all to herself for the weekend, and to prove that he isn’t whipped by Vince, E spends the day trying desperately to break the news to Vince that Nappa isn’t gonna happen in the “couples” sense. Besides, Vince can’t even find a date. What?!? Ummmm….he never called me….

As always, Vince convinces E to do whatever he wants, and this time it’s to go on a double date, just so the four of them can get acquainted before the trip. Vince brings some blonde chick along. In the end, Sloan and E end up fighting about the whole deal, go to Nappa by themselves, and while E is now the one about to spend the weekend going unlaid, Vince, Turtle and Drama take a jet to Cabo San Lucas. With Vinny in tow, Turtle and Drama will undoubtedly and finally get lucky.

Ari’s story provides the best content, as he is about to sign new talent. But this talent is same-sex-oriented, and he is allllll about the Lloyd. This guy basically won’t sign the contract until he gets what he wants. And what he wants is Lloyd! Ari convinces Lloyd to meet his almost-signed-talent at a gay club, and since Lloyd is hopelessly in love with Ari, he agrees. Little does he know, he’s about to be man-handled in every sense of the word. But, Ari is actually a good guy (deep down,) and after realizing what he’s done to his loyal assistant, he drives to the club, saves Lloyd, and loses his new talent.

Can’t wait for next week. What will Ari do without new talent? Will Vince’s new agent, Amanda, score him a good movie? Will Vince call me? Please?

TONIGHT, HBO not only welcomes back the most popular (and f*cked up) family, The Sopranos, but the boys of Entourage return, too!

Tune in at 9pm to catch the first of the last episodes of “The Sopranos” before they get wacked into syndication forever, and 10pm to watch Adrien Grenier be pretty and Jeremy Piven be a douche bag. Tonight, we meet Vince’s new female agent, Amanda, and find out how Ari is coping with getting fired. Probably not good, I assume.
