Is it just me or is there another “revolutionary” new makeup product introduced every freaking day?! Just walking into Ulta or Sephora (or even Walgreens!) sends many chicas into fits of hysteria, reaching for the nearest brown bag to regulate their breathing. It’s all so overwhelming.
So how can you know which product – among the sea of thousands – is the best? Which does what you need it to do? Which ones are worth the extra money?
Let me help. I don’t know every beauty product out there, but I’ve tested a lot of them and I’ll let you know which are worth the money and which are not.
(Disclaimer: This product was purchased by me for review purposes. Because I can never have too much makeup!)
What it is: Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Why this should be in your bag: Because everyone looks better with bronzer, unless you’re rocking the Dita-Von-Teese “I’m so pale it hurts my eyes” thing. Not that I’m knocking the pale faces – I’m a fair-skinned lady myself. I just think I look dead without bronzer. As for why this specific bronzer, Benefit Hoola is SUPER-pigmented (check out the swatch comparison to Rimmel Natural Bronzer). This means that a little is going to go a long, long way. Plus, it’s matte, which is shockingly rare amongst bronzers, but means that you can wear it daytime or nighttime and not look too done up or like a twelve-year old glitter addict. Read More »

I have been waiting to do this review for a very long time, and I can’t tell you how excited I am about my new obsession: My Clarisonic! I’ve been wanting this beauty tool for over a year, and I finally got it for my birthday this month. I have to tell you, I will never wash my face with my hands again. This is the best thing I own. Yes, I love it even more than my T3 Evolution (and maybe as much as my boyfriend).
It’s pricey, but it’s so worth it. If you’re on the fence about this product or just looking for more information, this video is for you. I will try to be as unbiased as possible, but it might be hard considering this is the best thing that’s happened to me since I got into college. Read More »

I’m a fan of packing heat. From my blow dryer that is. Sadly, I have burned through three blow dryers in the past year. Much like Tiger Woods, 2009 was not good year for them. And then Christmas happened. I asked for one thing and one thing only: the Bespoke Labs T3 Evolution blow dryer.
Let me tell you, this badboy is AH-MA-ZING!
In this video (the first of the new year!) I’m breaking this thing down so you can decide if it’s worth the investment. And if you think it is, then start saving! I think every girl should invest in great, long-lasting tools, and this is something well worth your money.

You know you’ve heard of them – those same few beauty products that are always featured in fashion magazines, get rave reviews online, and might even count a few of your friends as evangelistic fans. But if you’ve ever tried some of these cult products for yourself, you probably know that the hype is sometimes just that – hype. (Maybelline Great Lash Mascara comes to mind!) These cult products sadly don’t always work as well as their reputations would suggest.
But sometimes, these cult products really do live up to their own hype, and really do perform miracles! Curious as to which ones are actually worth the money? Here are the top 5 cult products that deserve all the hype they get.

As I was going through the mascara aisle at my local Rite Aid, I saw the same old blacks, dark blacks, super black blacks, and midnight blacks that I usually set my big green eyes on. Then I stumbled upon green mascara for green eyes! I thought it was a little strange, but I was intrigued so I tried it out.
And take my word for it: this mascara is wonderful!
Mascara should bring attention to your eyes and bring out the color. For many of us, though – especially those of us with lighter eyes – black mascara doesn’t do that. Sure, swiping some ultra black onto those lashes makes your eyes look better, but it doesn’t make that color pop. And why wouldn’t you want those bright blues to pop?!
Well, this mascara does that; it highlights your eye color and your eyes. It’s brilliant and I just had to share! Read More »
