CC Beauty Live: Halloween From Your Makeup Bag

It’s almost Halloween, and I can’t wait! I’m not the biggest fan of the scary or paranormal, but I love the looks and excessive makeup. That’s the best part of this holiday. Well, besides the candy. It can be really tough to decide on a costume, especially being on a college budget. I don’t really want to spend eighty bucks on a slutty Marie Antoinette costume (okay I really do, but I can’t). You know what I mean though, sometimes it’s not worth the money you can spend on other things. Read More »

CC Beauty Live: Spa At Home-DIY Scrubs

[I love spas, but being on a college budget doesn't allow for visits to them. I like to create my own spa days at home, and this is something you all can do too! So I will be bringing you some of my favorite at home treatments with ingredients you already have.]

Scrubs are one of my favorite things to make at home because there are so many different kinds. You can make a scrub out of almost anything from your kitchen. At home scrubs are super cheap and can actually be better for your skin because you’re not using a bunch of chemicals that can be found in store-bought ones. Do be aware though not to get too crazy and start throwing random ingredients together especially if you have really sensitive skin. Read More »

CC Beauty Live: Half Up Twisted Bun

It’s been a while since we had a hair tutorial, so I thought it was about time! I’m pretty busy during the day, which means I don’t have a lot of time to do my hair. And you all know I don’t wash it every day, but it’s still a hassle to keep up with. So quick and easy hair styles are essential for me, and they probably are for you too. I like styles that keep my hair out of the way so I can focus on everything else I have to deal with.

Half up is my go-to style because it’s the perfect combination, but it can be boring. That’s why I like to add braids, or in this video, twisted buns. It adds a little oomph to the typical half up hairdo. This style is super easy and quick so you’ll be able to snooze a bit more before class and still look cute when you get there.

On my face: Painted Earth Pore Perfecting Primer, Painted Earth concealer, Painted Earth Perfect Every Thyme Mineral Foundation, NARS Orgasm blush, Mary Kay eyeliner, Mary Kay lash love mascara, BITE Granache lipstick.

CC Beauty Live: Painted Earth Skincare and Cosmetics

As you all know, I get the opportunity to try out a lot of products from well known brands. My favorite thing though is testing out small, independent brands that are trying to take on high-end, well known ones. When Joanne contacted me about trying Painted Earth, I was so excited! Independent brands are really special and don’t just think of customers as dollar signs. They care about your well-being and want their products to help you.

I cannot speak highly enough of this brand. Every single product I tested, I fell in love with. I use Painted Earth every day now because it’s just that good. Although priced like a high-end brand, it pretty much surpasses the quality level. Plus, you can order cheaper sample sizes (which are still a good size) of most of the products. I tested out a lot, but in this video I highlight some of my favorite things. Read More »
