I don’t even think this post really needs an introduction. Ellen DeGeneres is awesome, and hilarious, and she gets people to do and say awesome and hilarious things on her show. What better way to procrastinate than watch a bunch of clips from her show? Happy Sunday, everybody! Without further ado, I present you with the best of The Ellen Show. Read More »

Today in the Twitterverse, there was a trending topic that had lots of people tweeting things like “omg lol I can’t believe this is trending rofl smh!!!!!” So what was it? #FemaleSexComplaints, of course. This was the kind of trending topic that reminded us that there are lots of creepers on Twitter. But there were some really funny tweets too, and some that definitely struck close to home. My “research” for this post also prompted me to start listening to “Whatta Man” by Salt-N-Pepa, which is always a good thing. My suggestion? Turn up the music and check out the best of #FemaleSexComplaints. Read More »

I got this text from my friend today: “Forgot my headphones, so I had to work out at the gym without music. Went to get my keys and found them in my side pocket of my coat. TRAGEDY.” This, ladies, is what I like to call a First World Problem. I am definitely guilty of complaining about things that are trivial and stupid. I have definitely had moments where I feel sorry for myself when I can’t hear the TV over my chewing. Rough lives we lead, huh?
Luckily the internet has taken this concept into their own hands and made a meme all about first world problems. We’ve made a photo gallery of some of our favorites!

So if you’re obsessed like I am, you are counting down the days until Panem’s 74th Annual Hunger Games. For you non-readers, basically I’m counting down the days until the movie’s release date on March 23, 2012. But don’t worry you clueless soon-to-be fans, you have plenty of time to read the first book before March… I read it in two days.
Anyway, in anticipation for the epic story coming to life on screen, fans have been going crazy on the internet. We stumbled across this Tumblr devoted to the best of The Hunger Games trilogy and fell in love with each and every simple sentence plastered on a colored background. It was really tough to decide, but check out our favorite best of the best. And remember, the world will be watching.

Here at CollegeCandy, we like to celebrate the end of the year with a little toast to ourselves and all the work we’ve accomplished over the past 12 months. It’s kinda like the way you look back on your year and recap your favorite hook-ups from 2011: all the best kisses, the best one night stands, the men who shook you all night long….Sure it’s cocky, but everyone does it, right? Say yes, please.
Before we pop champagne, seduce a new beau and think ahead to what’s to come in 2k12, lets keep it a little PG and celebrate all the best performances CollegeCandy gave the web in 2011.

AOL is taking the “best of” approach in 2011 to a whole new level this year. While the rest of the Internet (including ourselves) is focusing on “newsworthy” events like Kim Kardashian’s 72 day fake marriage to Kris Dumpfries and the perfect storm that was Rebecca Black, AOL has honed in on celebrating and remembering the loudest 11 days that took place in 2011. Generating their entire list based on readers’ comments, shares and tweets, they have compiled the most sought after news that Americans searched for in the past 365 days.
See the 11 Biggest Days of 2011 right here and then share your thoughts and opinions below. Do you agree with their list? Did they miss anything? Can you believe how much has happening this yera?

(The last ‘Best of Overheard 2009‘ post wasn’t really the best things overheard in 2009. Come on! You really thought those were any good? No, these right here. These. These are the best of the best of 2009. If you think yours are better, send them in or leave them in the comments!)
(Two guys and a girl, leaving a movie theater.)
Guy: You gotta stay here, it’s dicks only.
Girl: Fine. I didn’t want to come anyway.
(Two girls, leaving an early biology class.)
Girl: I sometimes think about how comfortable a womb would be, and then I think – hey. You don’t breathe. And that terrifies me. Even though it would be fun, you know, bouncing around. Read More »

(Hey, readers! We sure had a good year, didn’t we? You all sat through Overheard once a week, every week, and nobody sent me any hate mail or bomb threats or horse heads! I’m impressed, readers, and as my thanks to you, I’ve collected some of my favorite Overheards from 2009. Read on! And don’t forget to share what you’ve heard lately. Leave it in the comments or send it on over!)
(Girls studying math in the library.)
Girl 1: … So you just do your FOIL and multiply out.
Girl 2: I don’t get it! I don’t know how to do math.
Girl 1: You know, first, then outer, then the inner, then last?
Girl 2: Oh! You mean making rainbows!
(Two guys in a liquor shop.)
Guy 1: What are we looking for?
Guy 2: A guy, like, four liters wide. Name is Carlo. If you punch him, he leaks wine everywhere. Read More »

With less than three weeks before we welcome 2009, now is the time to do everything you said you would do in 2008. And if any of those plans go awry? You can start off with a clean slate in under 30 days. Now is the time to carpe diem, my friends, so see 2008 out with a bang.
1) Get a jump start on your New Year’s resolution. It’ll make January 1 so much less painful. Dead set on losing weight? Start out each day with a mere 20 minutes of cardio. You’ll lose a couple of pounds before the big par-tay and be motivated to keep toning up throughout January (and beyond). Want to quit smoking? Cut down now. Cold Turkey will be easier when you’ve already cut a pack-a-day habit down to 2 or 3 nicotine sticks.
2) Ask out that hottie from lab. What do you have to lose? The semester’s almost over anyway. And if he’s interested, you might have your New Year’s kiss all lined up. Read More »
