Wardrobe Wish List: Nine West Skipper Boot

zz2z3

I’m really sad to see summer go (waaaah, goodbye beach days!), but I am kinda, sorta (ok, REALLY) excited to break out my new wardrobe for fall. I’m getting sick of my flip flops and summer dresses and really just want to wear some light sweaters and <drool> boots!

But we’re not quite there yet. Even though the nights are getting chillier, it’s still too warm to break out the biggest trends for fall without looking a tad out of place. Thank god for Nine West! To help all of us transition from summer to oh-so-delicious fall, they have given us the Skipper boot.

It’s nice and boot-y (that’s an adjective, not a noun) on the bottom with great detail like durable leather, straps and buckles over the ankle. But what makes this the best. boot. ever is the perforated shaft. Not only does this detail make the boot unique and different (and you know me, I like different), but those holes lighten everything up a bit so  you can now rock your precious boots without feeling as though you’ve dressed too warmly for the weather. Tuck a pair of skinnies into the Skipper and you’ve got the perfect look for this in-between-seasons kinda time. Read More »

Wardrobe Wish List: Steve Madden Intyce Boots

[I want it, I need it, I can’t live without it. There are so many things on store shelves and racks right now that we want to take home and hang in our closets. Things that are so cute, everyone should know about them. We’ll Steven by Steve Madden boots are just too cute to pass up simply because of the changing climate.

I love tall boots (Read: boots that hit just below the knee) but, because of my height, do not like high heels. Even if I do decide to wear heels, I usually end up regretting it because, well, let’s be honest–after wearing them for a whole day, your feet frickin’ hurt! For this reason, it can be difficult for me to find a suitably cute pair of boots.

But I found some!

The ‘Intyce’ boots, created by Steven by Steve Madden, are basically perfect. They feature a tiny wedge heel and come in both black, and a rich brown that Steven refers to as “cognac leather.” They have a cute, adjustable buckle detail at the top that you can show off when you tuck your skinnies or leggings into them. And if you’re missing your Uggs, you can still wear these boots this summer with a dress and not look completely ridiculous. In fact, you can wear them every season! What an investment.

Did I mention that these boots are on sale if you order directly from Steve Madden? Mhmm, they are. You also get a free subscription to Teen Vogue with your purchase! So order them now before they sell out! …I just did!

Celebrity Chic on The Cheap: High School Musical moves to the North Pole.

ashley.jpeg[Every week our style guru takes a celebrity look and breaks it down for you, our poor college fashionista. What does that mean? It means that while the celebrities are spending $5,000 on an ensemble, you don’t have to.

All you have to do is click on the goods and - boom - you can buy the entire ensemble. Yes, we know; there is a spot for her in heaven.]

So it’s getting to be cold. Which sucks because there is nothing worse than freezing on your walk to class only to start horribly sweating once you get inside. But at the same time, cute boots, hats and comfy cardigans woo me every season.

And even though Ashley Tisdale lives in Hollywood (and is Jewish so never mind her sitting in Santa’s Chair), she’s clearly a fan of the winter look too.

So this week, in the spirit of High School Musical 3 (I know you are probably reading this on your Google phone/iPhone/Blackberry as you’ve been in line since midnight last night), I thought, why not bring you this perfect look which is great for class, for brunch, and, let us not forget, the perfect look to meet Santa in.
