Continuing with the theme of whining about Bentley’s departure, and by that I mean new beginnings, Ashley and her crew flew to Chiang Mai . I’m not sure if it was the heat, the punches to the head or random Thai men jumping in the water, but this was by far one of the most awkward episodes.

Also, ABC promised me that I would get some good ol’ Bentley drams going down…they lied. They lied big time..instead they left us with a “dot dot dot” and a week to think about what will happen. Will the men all leave Ashley? Will Ashley be shown the footage? Will Bentley’s hair look okay when he makes Ashley cry again? …so many gosh darn questions!

Let’s get down to business now, shall we?

Best Awkward Moments:

-Ashley saying Rawr.

-The entire time Ben F. and Ashley were sitting in front of the temple. Half seeming like they wanted to kiss and half seem like they both had major stomach pains.

-Ben F. wanting to be a sugar daddy, and Ashley wanting to be a sugar baby. (I’m not sure of the specific terminology here, but I think you get the point).

-Ames introducing himself to the little boxing Thai guy “Me Ames, me no fight” or something like that.

-Mickey exclaiming, “He got his bell rung,” when talking about Ames. (…So Mickey wants to ring Ames’ bell?)

-”Who has two thumbs and is going to win the rose on this one,” long pause “this guy” -William (Pretty sure everyone watching just hung their head for the poor guy.)

-Ashley’s walk. This episode it seemed that she had to rush to the bathroom every time she stepped on to set.

-Lucas teaching Ashley how to golf. Honestly it just shouldn’t be done in heels and a short dress.

-William talking enthusiastically about how he is a man-boy, while Ashley looks like she is constipated/about to hit him in the head just to get him to shut up.

-Ben C. playing the piano while William lies on a couch looking like he would rather drink rat poison then be there.

Other notable mentions: 

-On the two-on-one date, William told Ashley that Ben C. wanted to leave so he could go try online dating. Because online dating is clearly the next best thing to being in Thailand on a reality TV show. Just sayin’. But then, it got better…because Ben C. denied it and Ashley still sent him home. How did he leave you ask? He was put on a raft by two men and floated away into the night with them…never to be seen or heard from again. (Okay, well maybe that last part is made up.)

-Ashley throwing a rose into the fire (similar to mask man throwing his mask in the fire…maybe they would’ve been a perfect match) and then going on to say, “If I don’t get closure with Bentley, I might end up alone.” Really? You’re going to let that douchelord destroy your only shot at real love? (…because The Bachelorette is obviously Ashley’s only shot at finding real love.)

-On a sad note, my favorite ball of wax got a mild concussion. After having a bloody nose, blood-shot eyes and a dazed look on his face, Ames was rushed to the Thai hospital. Did Ash go with him? No. Did he get the group date rose? No. Waxey suffered a head injury for you and you can’t even give him a rose magnet?

Elimination:

Nick, Ben C. and William leave. (Hey Nick, if you’re still free, I’m still lookin’… )

Next Stop:

Hong Kong. Ashley gets to confront Bentley, and the guys get mad because it’s a douche move on her part.

I guess it’s all just one big “dot dot dot.”

Eating healthy and staying fit don’t have to be so….monotonous. Nutrition experts are constantly coming up with new forms of exercise and new research on dieting that may be just the new thing you (and your body) need. The latest? Combinations of our favorite things to get even better results:

1: Piloxing

Joseph Pilates, meet your match. In the boxing ring, that is. There’s a new exercise contender in the draw now: Piloxing!

Here’s the blow-by-blow: LA-based fitness trainer Viveca Jensen bases the classes off of the best of both worlds, by combining the intense power moves of boxing (like the one-two punch) with the softer toning moves of pilates (like those pesky 100′s). Supposedly, it has a “Swedish twist” to it, which apparently makes it better/more efficient. (Swedish fish do taste better than regular fish, so I guess there is a truth to that.) Celebrities like Hilary Duff and Alexis Bledel have signed on to this new exercise trend, claiming it helps to attain a “sleek, sexy, and powerful” self-image.

2: Yollet

Last time I donned a tutu, I was tailgating with my friends and had no intentions of doing ballet whatsoever.

But with this new fitness trend, I just might wear it again. This time with exercise in mind (no, chugging beer is not considered a workout for your esophagus). Yollet (pronounced yo-lay) is a fusion of Classical Ballet and Yoga, and its 1-hour class is just what you’d expect: 30 minutes of non-stop chasse’ing then 30 minutes of downward dog and stretching.

3: Food Synergy

Many foods have shown to have a “one-plus-one-equals-three” effect when eaten together, amping up the nutrition benefits more than when eaten separately. For example, combining foods that contain carotenoids, such as tomatoes, with a healthful fat, such as olive oil, makes it easier for the body to absorb the nutrients more readily.

This new “food synergy” gives you more reasons to eat your favorites together:

Oatmeal + OJ (power breakfast!)

Blueberries + Grapes (little circles of yumminess)

Peanuts + Whole Wheat (PB&J all the way)

Apples + Chocolate (yes, I said it. Chocolate.)

Now you have an excuse to drizzle a little full-fat dressing onto your salad too!

Uh, Rudy Huxtable may be a Disney star, but girl looks like she could take a man in a dark alley. She’s no joke and neither are her facial expressions. KO the Olsens are down.

Hilary Duff vs. The Olsen Twins

Hilary may have a mean snarl with those new veneers of hers, but she’s too dainty to chip her manicure. The Olsens are all about the chippy nails, missed showers and ratty hair. KO H. Duff down.

Miley Cyrus vs. The Olsen Twins

The only thing scarier than Hannah Montana are her damn fans. Hannah has yet to acquire the grit necessary to take an Olsen, but she does have the posse. Before Miley could get a bruise, there would be eight hundred 12-year-olds wielding machetes ready to hack off some Olsen body part. Miley wins, hands down. KO Olsens down.

So in the ring, The Olsens have one win, which is a devastating LOW considering their alleged power.

Let’s hope that someone can force feed them a protein shake or some Muscle Milk, just in case it ever gets physical…

Have you ever thought to yourself, “gee, my boyfriend is being an ass. I sure wish I could punch him in the face without getting arrested”?Well, now you can. And if he wants, he can punch back.

According to the New York Times, young couples are beginning to get into the boxing ring together, sparring against each other for exercise and respect. While most men don’t jab back (or jab very lightly), women are routinely allowed and encouraged to beat the crap out of their mate.

“Although I kind of paw at her and hit her to keep her honest, it is obviously pretty light” one boxing boyfriend from New York is quoted as saying, “She, however, is really able to unload on me.”

Most couples who trade jabs in the ring say it’s a good, healthy stress reliever that allows anger to be worked out through physical excretion, rather than screaming and plate throwing. Sparring also helps women “feel empowered” while garnering the respect of their mate.

Obviously, not everyone thinks couples slamming each other in the face with giant red gloves is a good idea. An owner of a boxing ring in California warns “If a guy hits his wife too hard in the face, intentionally or unintentionally, she will remember that and it will come up again at some point.”

You know, I’m all for co-ed sports, and working out together is probably a fantastic way for couples to encourage and push each other, but asking someone you love to come at you with all their strength is usually reserved for those slightly uneducated individuals on COPS. If I’m angry enough at my boyfriend to “unload” on him at the gym, I might want to consider why he’s my boyfriend in the first place.

Also, how did it escape the author of the article that boxing with one’s boyfriend can be seen as a pretty placating experience? If he hits you, it might really hurt, so he doesn’t. I can only imagine how the ride home from the ring might go:

“Honey, you did a great job. Good thing I didn’t hit back, though. These guns might have really caused some damage to that petite little frame of yours…”

I mean, maybe it wouldn’t go that way. Maybe some men are fine about being punched for an hour by their girlfriend. All I know is, whenever it happens on COPS, those dudes get pissed.
