Everyone has those days.
You know, those days? When all you want to do is curl up in a ball in your sweats, sleep, watch some terrible Netflix movies and ask yourself why life can’t be like a Julia Roberts movie. (In fact, I’m having one of those days right now.) But those days are never quite complete without that pint of Ben and Jerrys, that pizza with pineapple, or tortilla chips and salsa.
Comfort food. It’s a necessity for late night binging, breakup wallowing, and rainy days with Real Housewives marathons. Everyone has a favorite, but these? These top ten classics are some comfort foods every gal indulges in at some point or another.
10. Pizza. With extra cheese. And all the toppings. Or none of the toppings. My personal favorite is a single, original, round slice. But hey, to each her own.
9. Mashed Potatoes. Just as delicious when you have a toothache and can’t eat solid foods as they are paired with a juicy steak or with nothing at all.
8. Cheeseburger. An American classic. (Even if it wasn’t actually first created in America.) Burgers are great because they can be as quick and simple as a Big Mac or as fancy and fab as something with jack cheese and onion rings, but either way they’re delicious.

When the weather outside is frightful, there’s only one that warms me up. And it’s not a Snuggie. It’s food. Warm, gooey, delicious comfort food, to be exact. And there’s nothing warmer, gooier, deliciousier than Cheeseburger Casserole. It will warm you up from the inside out after a long day of classes (it’s SO easy to make and can last you all week!), or is the perfect dish for girls night in when it’s 12 below zero and even the mere thought of putting on a cami and going to a party makes your teeth chatter. Mardi Gras is officially over tomorrow, so put your shirts down, drop those beads and celebrate the best day ever: Fat Tuesday! I like to think of every Tuesday (or every day, for that matter) as Fat Tuesday, so I’m more than ready to celebrate.
A day devoted to all culinary indulgences? Sign. me. up.
Care to join me? Well, you can start by getting a free stack o’ pancakes at IHOP (much love to you, IHOP!), then move onto some of my favorite fatty indulgences. Click on the pics to find out where you can get your hands on such delicious celebratory snacks.

We spend more time online than in front of the TV (which is incredibly sad considering how much time we spend in front of the TV). If we aren’t shopping online we are attempting to date. Or flirt. Or stalk that boy that we want to date.
Once that gets boring, we usually hit up our favorite blogs, read the news (because we feel like we should) and then search for new favorite blogs.
Here are some of our favorite new finds for this week. College Bloggers, we love you:
Poorer Than You: A poor college student? Obvi. But this one happens to track their progress and offer advice to the many other poor college students out there. Love it.
Double Cheese Blogger: An entire blog about cheeseburgers? Is there anything better?!
Absolut College Girl: She’s your regular college girl, which is why we love reading what she has to say. She gets us! She really gets us!
College Student Blog: Lots of great advice on everything from applications to exams. This kid may be a freshie, but he’s full of info.
Photobooth Truths: She’s the cool girl who comes in late to class, that girl at the bar that you want to talk to but are intimidated by at the same time. She’s just cool. And we want to know her.

You know all those times when you’re like “Damn, I would love to get some burgers for the whole family, but I don’t want to order them individually,” so, you order a pizza instead? Yeah, me neither. But apparently, Burger King thinks we’re all having a whole lot of these moments as they’re going to start offering a six-pack of burgers in an attempt to compete with the pizza market.
How does a six-pack of burgers differ from six individual burgers? Glad you asked.
The rolls of the six burgers will be stuck together, so to grab a burger, you’ll have to tear one off. Just like when you grab a piece of pizza. And just like you can order a pizza half cheese/half pepperoni (or whatever your tastes enjoy), one pair of these burgers will be topped with ketchup, another with cheese, and another with bacon and cheese.
Unfortunately, these burgers are only launching in the UK, Germany, and Spain. Let’s hope and pray that they do well over there so that they come here soon. Until then, I guess we’re just going to be stuck ordering pizza when we’re craving a shared meal. Or drinking a six-pack of beer. That could work too.

“My diet starts tomorrow…right after I devour this pizza, plate of chicken tenders, and a six pack of beer today“
How many times have you been in this situation in college or heard one of your friends say they are going to start eating healthy at a certain time in the future? Everyone always assumes that one more greasy, fatty meal won’t make a difference. But now, researchers are proving that you are only as healthy as your last meal.
One cheeseburger can do damage to your health, reports Time. “Just one high-fat, high-sugar meal can trigger a biochemical cascade, causing inflammation of blood vessels and immediate, detrimental changes to the nervous system,” explains a study, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
But, wait, don’t worry, there’s also some good news published in this study! Read More »
