This is a weird one.

Imagine enjoying a nice, warm day at the pool, relaxing in the sun, catching some rays…..and getting nibbled on by some hungry yet helpful fish.

It turns out that “Fish Spas” are the next big thing in the world of skincare.

Garra Rufa fish, “…when placed in the spa, these fish can feed themselves on the dead cells of the human body, since they only consume such cells, leaving the healthy skin of the human body to grow. The whole process is reportedly free of pain. It won’t hurt and the bather might feel a pleasant tingling on his or her skin,” CRIEnglish.com reports.

For now, most of these spas are in China, Turkey and Korea, but knowing us Americans who will do anything to look better, I’m sure we’ll be seeing them in the states soon.

Nothing against fish – I mean, I love eating salmon and Finding Nemo was a super cute movie – but I don’t think I’d want them swarming all around me, noshing on my every inch. Plus, I’d be too afraid they’d get into places no sea creature should enter….if you know what I mean. But if you can get over the creep factor, it seems like a nice, natural idea, as opposed to all the chemical-induced shit they try to pump into your cells to cure skin conditions or just to make your skin look nicer.

Good thing these Garra Rufa fish are so tiny and harmless-looking. I guess that helps. If one of these bitches tried to eat me, I think I’d rather stick with the skin I’ve got.
