According to People, Jason Trawick will not only be Britney Spears’s future husband but will share control over the pop star as co-conservator. Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, is taking legal measures to put Jason in a conservator role. Is it just me or is this a little crazy? I mean, Britney’s been under her father’s supervision since 2008, and she appears to be doing really well.

Maybe she’s doing well because she’s under conservatorship, but isn’t it about time that she regains control of her own life? Yes, she needs the approval of doctors and the court to determine that she can take care of herself. But I feel like it’s a little backwards that once she’s married, her husband will have a say in literally everything she does.
