I love me a good game of beer pong. I love the comraderie, the competition, the excitement, the way one game turns into twenty and before you know it the beer pong balls are missing and it turns into a big game of flip cup. And just when I thought I couldn’t love beer pong any more than I already do, along comes Party Pong Tables.
Be still my beating heart.
The geniuses at Party Pong Tables realize that beer pong is not just a game you play before you go to the bar… or at 8am before a football game – it’s a culture. And it deserves some respect. And boy do these peeps respect and honor the great game. They not only offers custom-designed tables, but tables that fold into a little portable briefcase. And “grown up” wood tables for when you’re all graduated and fancy. And….wait for it….INFLATABLE pong tables for your pool (or bathtub)!
But that’s not all, folks. Read More »

Caribou Coffee Chocolate Drinks
Caribou Coffee is the reason why my new year’s resolution has already gone to hell. “Drink less coffee, spend less money and be healthier” were the words I uttered exactly one week ago today…and then those always-happy baristas introduced me to their latest and greatest mochas. Which explains why those guys behind the counter are always smiling.
These things aren’t just mochas, they are friends. Maybe even better than friends, unless your friends are made with REAL chocolate. Yes, ooey, gooey, sweet and delicious milk, white or dark chocolate is the base of this hot cup of happiness, not that powdered crap you get everywhere else. And OMG, can you taste a difference. It’s like drinking a candy bar. Honestly, besides the ring of dark choco my daily indulgence leaves around my mouth (and the red ring my now-tight jeans leave around my belly), Caribou’s mochas are 100% perfection. In moderation. Which I am still trying to learn. Read More »

You know that really annoying friend of yours who feels the incessant need to point out that they were the first to know about a now really popular band every. single. time. it comes on the radio?
As annoying as they are, there is something exciting about the knowing of a new band, new clothing brand, great sale, awesome book or recipe, and sharing it with the ones you love. And by ones you love, I mean the ones you go back and forth with right here on the CollegeCandy message boards.
So here’s the deal: every week, we will feature things that YOU think other CollegeCandy readers just have to know about. Anything at all. Nothing is off limits.
Guffly.com
We all are trying to be green: wear more green, eat more green, recycle more green, earn more green. But sometimes it’s hard because we don’t know where to look for the best products. And let’s face it – some of those eco-friendly fashions have been hit with the ugly stick one too many times. Not to mention the sometimes way-out-there price tags – I mean I could buy some Jimmy Choo’s for the price of some of these reusable forks, frocks and eco-friendly gym bags! But thankfully, Guffly has come to our rescue. Guffly is a one-product-per-day online store (perfect for those of us who get overwhelmed by too many fabu products at once!). They feature eco-friendly products and fair trade lifestyle goods like home, pet, clothing, office and personal accessories. They have made it their jobs (literally!) to find only the most stylish eco-friendly and fair trade products out there. Now you can actually do something good for the environment, feel good about yourself AND still look cute. Sign me up. Read More »

My recent Love Lists have had a theme. So when putting together this week’s list, I tried to keep to cohesive. Tried to keep a theme throughout, and then I thought: who needs a theme when all 5 things are so Love-List worthy? Isn’t luuuuurve a theme?
So this week’s theme is now renamed: 5 things Jill Loves this week that you should too. Because if you’ve learned anything by now, it’s that- well – I have pretty good taste. I don’t steer you wrong and I know what I’m talking about.
So here are this week’s 5 things I love that you should too.
The Perfect Spring Dress. Perfect for day (big camel bag, gold woven sandals, ivory shades and a cute scarf or headband) and perfect for night (nude or gold pumps/wedges, small metallic clutch, camel belt around the waist, gold bangles). The color just makes me happy. And ready for Chicago to warm up from its current 50 degree status since it’s – um – MAY.
Matt Kearny’s new song: Closer to Love. This little ditty will pair perfectly with your iPod, a sunny day, iced coffee, and the perfect spring dress (see above).
Starbucks Vanilla Roobius Tea. Seriously heavenly. My mom told me about this God-send and if it’s one thing I learned (begrudgingly), it’s that she always seems to be right. About everything. Especially beverages. I tried it for the first time yesterday and this bad boy does not disappoint. To cut the cals, ask for one pump of syrup and pair it with soy or nonfat milk. It’s 100% pure summer bliss. That I am sipping on as we “speak.”
Real Life Twitter. The truth is ALWAYS funny. Really, I LOLed.
MixMyGranola. We’ve talked about this before, but I am so in love with it I can’t shut up about it. You can make your OWN granola from start to finish. A healthy blend for breakfast (think fruit, nuts and organic base) and a “late night mix” for when healthy is not the first thing on your mind (peanut butter balls, choc chips and gummy bears anyone?). It comes in a cute canister with the name of your special blend on it, in addition to the exact nutrition info! It’s perf for gifts and ever more perfect for a gift to yourself. After all, you deserve it. Why? Because you’re you.

If you haven’t yet discovered Etsy, the Internet’s largest and coolest craft marketplace, beware. It will eat your soul. Ok, maybe not your soul, but it will take a serious bite out of your day and, if you’re not careful, your savings account.
You can easily fritter away three or four hours just browsing through dresses or scarves or jewelry, not to mention shoes, crafts and other delicious goodies.
. . . Ok, I’m back now. Got a little side-tracked.
Anyway, Etsy can be a little overwhelming if you’re just starting to look. It’s like walking into Ikea for the first time, or popping into Costco without a list. Basically, you need some guidance (that is easier to follow than those Spanish maps at Ikea…).
That’s why I’m here! Try dipping your toe in the Etsy pool by browsing products from these 10 fab sellers. And then spend another 6 hours getting to know the rest.

[Like a magpie, you gravitate towards things that are shiny: cell phones, TVs, anything that allows you to play Rock Band. But just because you love ‘em doesn’t mean you know much about ‘em. That’s where we come in.
Every week we will be highlighting the best, coolest and shiniest in technology. Consider us your personal Geek Squad. And let us tell ya; with CC on your side, geek has never looked so chic.]
So it’s March. Time of leprechauns and half-nice weather. It’s also a time of sales. Tech sales. So here’s some sites to find some cool stuff for cheap. Because everyone loves cheap.
Outlet PC
So maybe you’re not quite ready to sit on your floor and build yourself and an awesome machine, but that doesn’t mean you don’t need stuff for you current comp. And I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not but cables for your comp are EXPENSIVE and get lost every time you move. This site isn’t flashy but it does have all your basics on it for really cheap.
Newegg.com
Slightly prettier site with a much larger variety of things to shop. Not just PC, but everything tech. From XBox 360 products to new TVs to laptops, this site has it all. The prices are REALLY reasonable making that decision on whether or not to get that extra controller just that much easier. Not to mention the phones. So if you’re plan is coming up on it’s two years you can shop an upgrade from your house. Or you can check out if you can get a better deal by going elsewhere. Read More »

Ever have to find a last minute present for a friend/roommate/boyfriend? You’re tight on cash (clearly!), so you don’t really want to spend a lot on something they might not even like. So why not use materials you already have and make the perfect present?
I’ve been collecting beer bottle caps for a while now. I think they have a lot of personality, and I love the array of colors and logos. So, I decided to combine my collection of beer bottle caps with some other stuff I had lying around to make the perfect present: The bottle cap frame.
Materials:
-1 8×10 picture frame
-Approximately 20 beer bottle caps
-Hot glue gun
-Extra glue for glue gun
