The celebs have outdone themselves again this Halloween. From funny costumes to creative costumes to downright disgusting costumes, they did it all. Well…their make-up artists did it all.

If you survived Halloween weekend and are up for making it out tonight, these celebrity costumes might give you some much needed inspiration.

Halloween: It’s always been October 31, always been the orange shaded region of the calendar, but for some reason this year, it has gone unnoticed.  Maybe you blame your blinding lust for Pumpkin Spiced Lattes, your desperate need to study for midterms, or your manic desire to watch every college football game, but Halloween is here and it’s time to get a costume. The good news is, I’m sure Halloween USA still has a slutty nurse or a slutty pirate hanging on the rack – carbon copies of every other college girl’s costume – so go out and get one of these before it’s too late!

I’m kidding. Please don’t do that.

This year, get creative, get inspired and get attention with some of these last-minute costumes ideas – guaranteed to make Halloween a night you won’t forget (again.)

Sexy (err, or Slutty) Costumes:

Girl’s Gone Wild Censored Girl.  If you’ve got a rocking body and don’t mind showing it off, put on a pair of jeans and a nude strapless bra. Attach a piece of thick, black cardboard to the bra and with white paint, write, “CENSORED” on the cardboard.  You’ll be the hottest girl at the party and your parents will be so proud.

Walk of Shame. If you live anywhere near a frat house, you know what this girl looks like. With one broken heel, smudged make-up, and wild sex hair, this girl has definitely had a good night. Add a boyfriend’s (wrongly-buttoned) t-shirt and a pair of boy-cut panties to really make this look authentic.

(Note: Add some fake blood and this outfit can quickly become a Horror Movie Victim costume!)

Victoria Secret Angel. Got a bra? Got matching panties? You got a Halloween costume! Just add some wings, a pair of super high stilettos, maybe some extensions and BOOM! You are instantly one of the most envied women in the world. Bitch. 

Cupid. Wear a white or red mini and decorate it with hearts. For your arrow, pick up a tiny cardboard tube, wrap it with pink paper, and add a heart on one end. Then, head over to the local sex clinic and get a bunch of free condoms.  Pass these out all night and you’ll quickly become everyone’s favorite pixie at the party.

Coppertone Girl. Wear a bikini and attach a stuffed dog to the bottoms. You can get a fake butt at a lot of Halloween stores and spray paint it so it’s pale. Or if you got the audacity, you can use your own – just don’t forget the pigtails.

(Note: Lots of other great ideas can come from ordinary products, brands, and characters so look around!)

Funny – Clever – Easy Costumes: 

Party in my Pants. Unzip your pants and put on some fancy panties – the more ridiculous the better. Then attach some balloons (ideally water balloon size) and some ribbons to the seams to give off the impression that there really is a party in your pants! Then party on!

Roadkill.  Roll a tire in some black paint and then across a white t-shirt. Add some dirt to your face and Wahlah! You have a clever and super easy costume!

Facebook Page. Use a piece of cardboard to create a profile page. Cut a hole out where your face should go and then fill out all of the relevant information with a set of colorful sharpies. Make sure to include your interests, phone number, favorite drink, etc. just in case anyone is curious.

Dog Bite Victim. Pick up a stuffed dog at a local toy store – the more ferocious the better. Cut a hole into the dog’s mouth so that it can wrap around your leg. Then with safety pins attach the dog’s mouth to your jeans and walk with a limp for the rest of the night.

God’s Gift to Men. Get a role of some festive wrapping paper and wrap yourself up like a present. Put a beautiful bow in your hair and a holiday tag that says, “To: Men, From: God.” Make sure that all of the men at the party are thankful for your presence.

Group Costumes:

Cat Fight.  Get a bunch of your girlfriends to dress up as cats. This can be as easy as dressing completely in black, buying fuzzy ears, and drawing on a nose and some whiskers. Then add some scratches to your faces, shoulders, and chests. For the rest of the night, guys will be waiting for the catfight to continue.

Brunette Bottles. Get a couple yards of white felt from the fabric store. Find a font that looks similar to the Brunette’s logo and have each one of your friends trace it on in a different color. Then wrap the fabric around like a dress. Make little felt hats and get matching shoes for each flavor.

Evolution of Britney Spears. Have each one of your friends dress up a different era of Britney with one friend being the innocent school girl, another being the snake charmer, etc. Then have your bravest friend be psycho Brittney complete with a shaved head – you may need to buy her a shot or two first.

(Note: Get creative with this idea –there are a lot of other celebrities that are easy to mock!)

Clue Cast. Remember all of your favorite characters from Clue? Have each one of your friends dress in a single color and go as Miss. Scarlet, Cornell Mustard, Professor Plum, and the rest of the gang. Once you get the colors assigned, the rest of the characteristics should come easily.

Rehab Group. Get a bunch of matching t-shirts made that say, “REHAB.”  Then have each of your friends go as a famous celebrity that has gone to rehab. One can go as Paris Hilton, another as Lindsey Lohan, and another as Charlie Sheen. Make sure to stay in character all night and try to avoid drinking to excess.

With a little creativity, anything can become a kick-ass last-minute costume. So don’t fret that the time for Halloween is upon us – enjoy the night so much that you’ll never forget October 31^st again!

What’s more fun than getting creative with your boo and dressing up for Halloween together? It’s getting down to the wire. Halloween is literally right around the corner and you want to look your best…without dropping $59.99 to be a Sexy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (really?!). Completely understandable. You’re a college student. You’re smart – you know that it’s possible to have a  great costume and still have enough money to drop at the bar during Halloweekend.

We’re presenting: The Five Easiest Halloween Costumes…Ever.

Walk of Shame / Stride of Pride - The perfect Halloween college student get-up. Grab a pair of boy’s gym shorts from one of your friends (or your esteemed personal collection) and throw on a white Hanes v-neck tee or long-sleeve button down. Smear some eyeliner under your eyes, mess up your hair, and put on your favorite pair of skimpy black heels. We’ve all been there. We all have our own variation of the look – Coach wristlet, last night’s dress in our hand, condom wrapper peeping out your bra. Personalize it. Make it you. Added bonus? You can tell people Halloween morning that you’re in costume. Maybe they’ll be fooled.

’80s Aerobics Instructor – Yeah it’s a little overdone… but everyone loves the ’80s!! Whip out your favorite pair of leggings. You do have leggings right?!  You’re a college student, of course you do. If you don’t, go buy six pairs immediately. Take an old t-shirt or crew neck sweatshirt and cut the neck so it becomes an off-the-shoulder tee. For your hair – the bigger the better. Side ponytail, teasing, Aquanet hairspray. Channel your inner Madonna. And if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, call up the momz. I bet she has an old pair of leg warmers or a real vintage leotard from when she took a cardio step class. (Maybe this is just my mom…. Best. Theme Party. Costumes. Ever.)

Lady Gaga – Hear me out with this one, Little Monsters. Queen Gaga would wear anything under the sun. This means your options are absolutely limitless. Put together the biggest fashion catastrophe you can think of – garbage bags, cigarette sunglasses, colorful fishnets, the Mickey Mouse ears you got when you were seven years old in Disney World. Splatter paint your shirt with ketchup and mustard. Literally whatever you can find in your closet, your pantry, under your bed. Make it work. Because that’s what Gaga would do.

Hippie Chick – Another super easy decade-related costume. (You don’t even have to shower!) Throw on your favorite tie-dye tee (or make your own), ripped jeans, and your most comfortable pair of flip-flops. Style your hair with a bunch of little braids and add one of those trendy foreheadbands. Who says you have to super sexy on Halloween?

Tacky Tourist – This is another idea that you can really personalize and go over the top with. Visiting Hawaii or sailing the high seas? Find a crazy printed short-sleeved button up (you’ll strike gold in Wal-mart), zinc up that nose, and wear socks with your sandals. Add a lei and binoculars to catch a glimpse of exotic creatures. Or maybe you want to be a New York tourist. Wear a larger than life camera around your neck, carry an oversized map in your hand all night, and rock an I <3 NY tee. Don’t have one? Sharpie up a plain white tee. Don’t forget to keep looking up and pointing at those tall buildings all night!

Are these the most creative Halloween costumes you’ve ever heard of? Of course not.

But they’re still fun, they’re totally easy to put together (after 10 days of midterm hell and only 6 hours until that Halloween party at your BFF’s), and you don’t have to spend a lot of money to be a part of the festivities! Plus, you can look great without showing off your labia.

The planning and upkeep in preparation for the big night(s) is fierce. Girls have been known to have mental and emotional breakdowns due to the stress of picking a costume, making that costume, making sure the costume is sexy/cute enough, and also making sure that nothing naughty falls out of it. OK, maybe not a full on breakdown, but that’s probably because they self medicate with shots of tequila.

There’s a lot of prep work that goes into the perfect Halloween and the key to success is planning. You don’t want to wake up on October 29th without a costume and be forced to go as a naughty school girl…again. So use this calendar as a countdown to Halloween; stay on track and you’ll be good to go come October 31st (or 25th if you like to celebrate all week long!) sans breakdown. You’ll look amazing, have a great time, and increase your chances of making out with Batman at a party.

October 8-10: Costumes, Costumes, Costumes!
This weekend, figure out what you want to be for Halloween, whether you are going solo or doing a group thang with your girlfriends. Peruse the Halloween stores, hit the internet for inspiration and settle on something. If it requires ordering, get on that now!  You want to make sure that it has time to ship and that it fits. (Note: Yes, showing a little butt cheek does count as fitting. It is Halloween, after all.) If you are making your costume, go out and pick up all the goods. It always takes longer to piece that thing together than you think and you don’t want to have to run out the night of Halloween when you realize you don’t have enough fabric to cover your nips.

October 11-17: Clean (up) Your Plate!
Showing off your belly on All Hallows Eve? Does that Lady Gaga meat dress show off too much cellulite on the thighs?  This week, start cutting extra cookies, beers, candy, and pizza out of your daily diet. I’m not saying you have to lose weight, but I am saying that you’ll be a lot more comfortable in your skin (which is all that will be showing) if you feel your best. And that means eating healthy!  If you want to, start adding more veggies, lean protein, and whole grains to your daily diet, and cut back on the stuff that isn’t as good for ya. (Except candy corn – that is totally acceptable.)

October 18-23: Work It Out!
Keep it up with the gym routine and don’t forget to add toning exercises! Abs, arms, legs – everything has to look tight. Follow up those workouts with a Pumpkin Spice Latte (with skim milk!) and some old-time Halloween traditions. P.S. Keep working on that costume!

October 24: Test Run!
Try on your costume(s) to make sure everything is working right and figure out your hair and makeup. Think of this as a dress rehearsal. Just don’t show that costume to too many people! Halloween is all about the surprise, so you don’t want to ruin it by prancing around campus a week early.

October 25: Final Details!
Figure out your pre-gaming plans (including which awesome drinking games you will be playing!), stock up on the booze, and finalize which parties you will be attending on the big night. Oh, and a giant bowl of candy on the coffee table isn’t a bad idea either.

October 26-28: Investigate!
Go undercover and find out what other people are going to be. The last thing you want is to show up at the party and find 12 other Snooki’s dressed exactly like you. Tweak your costume as necessary. Enjoy a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Hit the gym. Enjoy another Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.

October 29: Time to Rock and Roll!
Yeah, it’s not actually Halloween, but it’s a Friday night so it’s time to start the party. So, get ready to go. Shave EVERYWHERE (cuz it’s all gonna be showing, especially if you take Batman home to show him your bat cave),  charge your camera, drink lots of water, eat a giant bowl of noodles with a side of breadsticks and get ready to pre-game.

Chase those shots with some candy corn pumpkins (just not too many – that sugar will make you ill) and you’re ready for the perfect Halloween!

October 30th and 31st: Repeat!
Pound some Powerade, eat a breakfast sandwich, spruce up that costume (wipe off the spilled sangria, sew up that hole from when you fell in the street…), and do it all again.

1. Superhero

Take an old t-shirt or sweatshirt (preferrably solid-colored) and draw the logo of your favorite superhero on the chest with Sharpie. If you want to go the extra mile and you have a little time, pick up some felt and thread from a nearby craft store or Target to sew the logo on. I actually did this myself one year and it took about 30 minutes. Throw a belt around your hips and pull on some leggings to complete the look.

2. Gangsta

This may take some rummaging through a guy’s closet, but it should be easy to pull off. Just find an oversize white shirt, baggy jeans, some boxers, and a pair of sneakers. Put in one diamond (or cubic zirconia) stud earring. For neck bling, if you don’t have any oversize necklaces yourself, grab some tin foil and roll it into a loop big enough to fit over your head (you can also use tin foil to make some makeshift grills- just fold it over your teeth). Use some black eyeliner to draw a sun reflecting patch under just one eye (like football players wear). If you wanna take it a step further and be a “wanksta,” use some eyeshadow to make it look like you’ve got a black eye.

3. God’s Gift to Men

This one is really simple. Dress yourself however you like, but make sure you look fine. Then just take some ribbon and tie a bow around yourself (around your hips, over the shoulder, etc.) and affix a large tag using construction paper that says: “To: Men, From: God.” Simple, sexy, and clever as hell.

4. Your Roommate

Are you going to a campus party tonight? Hanging out with a group of friends? Swap clothes with your roommate and go as each other! Try to really capture her style. Does she always wear her hair in a ponytail? How does she do her makeup? See if she has any old sweatshirts or t-shirts from her hometown that you can wear to really show you’re the girl who lives across the room.

5. (Desperate) Housewife

This costume idea comes with an optional “sexy” component. Grab a bathrobe and some slippers, throw your hair in a ponytail, and maybe grab an oven mitt as an accessory. Underneath the bathrobe, you can go into total-housewife mode with unflattering jeans, sweatpants, and a thermal shirt. Or you can ho it up a bit with a short skirt, low cut shirt, or whatever other “desperate” accessories you have.

6. Greek Goddess

Take a bedsheet and wrap it around you so it’s snug and then drape it over your shoulder. Tie it all together with a belt or rope (if you have some), and wear shimmery makeup. If there’s any leaves still in season around you, make a head wreath by tucking some small branches into your hair (braids will hold this style best).

7. Sexy Librarian

A classic. Find a plaid or pencil skirt, if you can, a button-down cardigan, a blouse, and some heels. If you or a friend has an old pair of eyeglasses, punch out the lenses and wear them (if not, you can probably pick up a cheap pair at a drugstore). Carry a pencil and some books. And remember, cleavage is your friend.

8. Ghost

There are a few ways of going about this one. The key is to dress in all white. If you have an old bedsheet, cut eyeholes out. Or just rub some baby powder on your face, and use dark eyeshadow around your eyes to look haunted.

9. Bum

Much like the gangsta, just find any old, baggy, or ratty clothes you have. Wrinkle them if you can by throwing them in the wash and dryer and let them sit. Mess up your hair, carry a garbage bag over your shoulder, and maybe toss a fake cigarette between your teeth.

10. Mummy

A Halloween favorite. Throw on whatever tight-fitting clothes you have (UnderArmor shirts and leggings, if you have them). Then have a friend wrap you from head to toe in toilet paper. Excellent idea if you have allergies and are always looking for a tissue.

Halloween can be a great holiday; candy, being able to wear those 4-inch glitter pumps you bought for some occasion that could only be Halloween, weird-colored drinks that taste like an explosion of sugar…we could go on. Halloween is just badass.

But you know what? Halloween can also be really, really inappropriate. Inappropriate body parts shoved into spandex, inappropriate masks that scare the bejeezus out of people on the street, inappropriate dances to inappropriate song selections such as “Monster Mash” — if you’re not careful, this holiday can quickly go from good time to complete epic FAIL.

Here’s a few ways that can happen…

Lame photo montages of you in a stupid costume posing with cops. You know who else has “been handcuffed by cops!” in a photo before? EVERYONE.

Using Halloween as a chance to basically get naked in public is a sure sign that your assurance in yourself is massively inappropriate. Oh yeah, you are also a huge douche.

Halloween rule #1: You need to f*cking BE something. Running around in your underwear and knees socks and calling you and your girls “a gaggle of sluts” is pretty much grounds for immediate death.

Cheap costumes suck. Don’t be proud that you force your children into them. (Editor’s Note: Anyone who sees this child is going to have inappropriate thoughts of tea bags/tea bagging. Don’t do that to your child.)

The only thing worst than cheap costumes on kids are slutty costumes on kids. Don’t put your little girl in a short skirt. It’s f*cking cold and short skirts are for ADULTS.

Using your child as an agent of fear is worse than stuffing them in a cheap costume or a slutty costume. Babies are supposed to be cute, not scarred for life.

Over-decoration. It’s not Christmas — and even then, over-decoration is always stupid. DON’T YOU KNOW WE’RE IN AN ENERGY CRISES?

There’s slutty, and then there’s SLUTTY.

The bold kind are the ones who get no respect. Ever. From anyone.

Please keep these things in mind as you contemplate your Halloween plans this year. Seriously, don’t make us leave our bowl of Twix Bars to drag your slutty-not-a-real-costume ass home. Thanks much.

Halloween used to be a holiday where people dressed up to spook others. Then it turned into a holiday where people dress up to f**k others.  And sometimes it’s a holiday where people dress up to honor others.

This year, why not do all three? Dress up as Sarah Palin!

She scares the crap out of me, my guy friends wanna f**k her, and, somehow, it’s an honor to dress up as this gun toting, beehive wearing, American Vice Presidential hopeful.

My best friend even has a Top 10 Melissa Tramp Outfits, and there are easily three Halloween costumes on there. (Editor’s Note: So 70% of those outfits were a normal day? Awesome.)

So, in order to keep myself off any Tramp lists this year, I decided to seek out non-slutty alternatives to my typical Halloween looks. After all, I’d much rather be recognized for my creativity than my boobs on October 31st this year.

Shocking, I know.

Marilyn Monroe

This may be a questionable choice to some, but I don’t find this trampy in the least. The pink number from Gentleman Prefer Blondes is iconic and it’s almost like a two-in one deal because you can say that you’re the fabulous Marilyn or Madonna.

Carrie

Halloween isn’t Halloween without a little fright and gore (note: not boobs and legs), and if you’ve seen the movie Carrie then you’ll know what this is allll about.

The Goddess

This version is called ‘Atlantis Queen.’ I love it not only for the pretty blue, but because it proves that to be a goddess you don’t need tons of cleavage or a super short skirt.

Gangster Moll

This version is free of garters or inappropriately short anything where you have to worry about who might be looking at your hooha when you bend over to pick up that beer pong ball off of the floor. And even better: pants and jacket = warmth! If you want to make this more ‘girly’, you can opt for the pink version of it.

Get political.

With either the right pant or skirt suit, you can easily be Sarah Palin or Hilary Clinton.

The Classic Witch

Long sleeves, long skirt and a high neck and still totally classic. If the typical witch isn’t your thang feel free to switch it up; I always loved the witch from Sleeping Beauty.
