Everyone knows that the Halloween spirit isn’t just confined to October 31st – it’s more like an entire two-week span that culminates with a huge, costume-filled celebration. (Editor’s Note: Two weeks? I’ve been planning my costume since last November!) That being said, the best place to celebrate the earlier part of the world’s scariest holiday is… on the couch.
Major TV networks often dedicate time slots (or entire days) to Halloween-themed episodes, specials, and movies… and I love every scary second of it. True, the power players at Fox suck and deemed the World Series more important than Halloween (RUDE!), but even though the annual Simpsons Halloween extravaganza has been postponed to November, there are plenty of sweet Halloween events on TV.
Check below for some of the best Halloween celebrations that don’t require a costume (but may require an adult diaper): Read More »

Considering today is Halloween (finally on a weekend!), I was in the mood for something supernatural this week. Of course, you first think of the blockbusters: Twilight, The Historian, maybe even a classic like Frankenstein. But, I decided to go with something a little less mainstream. Something darker and more of a true horror novel. So I rummaged through my bookshelf and found “The Night Watch” by Sergei Lukyanenko.
I bought “The Night Watch” a while ago, but had yet to pick it up. I remember very clearly seeing it at the bookstore and being intrigued by the critical acclaim on the front. “Harry Potter in Gorky Park” is what it said, which totally hooked me (Gorky Park is a famous amusement park in Moscow, Russia and I REALLY feel compelled by Russia for some odd reason….). Anyways, back to the book.
The story revolves around Anton. In Anton’s Moscow, there is a fight going on between Good and Evil that the humans don’t even see. Only the Others see, special beings who choose to fight for either the Light or the Dark. Anton, our protagonist, is of course of the Light and also a member of the Night Watch. He patrols the streets and subways of Moscow, protecting humans from the agents of the Night (vampires, supernatural beings, etc). I don’t know about you, but that totally reminds me of the opening fight scene in the subway platform from “Underworld,” which is SO badass. Okay, seriously, back to the book. Read More »

Sure, it’s a given that if you’re a somebody in Hollywood, you’ve probably got a fake…something. Nose, chin, ass, boobs–it’s a virtual grab bag of faux perfection! We can always tell when a celeb gets some work done. Always.
There are entire websites dedicated to outing stars who go under the knife! And, correct me if I’m wrong, but it almost always looks comically obvious, or even worse, botched.
So, why is it that celebrities keep going in see see their Docs to fix, correct, tighten, or sculpt? Answer: They’re crazy. Most of them are plain old nutjobs, if you ask us!
It’s hugely rare to see a celeb go in for their Frankenstein-esque procedures and not come out looking like…well, Frankenstein. But there are a lucky few that just so happened to come out alive! Thank God.
