Maybe you forgot to get a present for your dear little brother. Maybe you overlooked your best guy friend. Maybe you decided at the last minute that the dude you’ve been hooking up with for the past four months is worthy of a Christmas present. Who knows, I’m not here to judge. What I am here to do, however, is help you out of this little life rut you’ve found yourself in.
So let’s assess your problem. You need a present for that special man in your life (hi dad, love you, please don’t read any further!). You have no idea how to blow his mind via the art of gift giving and you could use a clue. Or 24.
Lucky, our best bros over at COEDMagazine put together a stellar gift guide sure to satisfy even the pickiest of fellas. You’re welcome!

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and though it’s a holiday of love…it’s more a holiday of gifts. Because what expresses love better than a gift (paired with some heavy petting)? We’ve scoured the web and gathered up all the best gifts that he’ll love…and that will make him love you even more.
And to make things even easier on you (because you’ve got more important things to worry about….like giving him hints about what you want) we’ve broken them all down by price so you can choose your gift based on how serious things are/how much you love your snuggle buddy.

"A razor? What are you trying to say, honey?
Christmas is fast approaching. (Five days, but hey, who’s counting?) While I’m sure you’ve already picked out the perfect gift for everyone on your list, I bet you haven’t given much thought to what you’re getting this holiday season.
Well…I have.
I’ve taken my favorite Gleek’s (Brittany S. Pierce!) advice and made my Christmas list early and sent it on its way to the North Pole. But I know that even someone as prepared and as considerate as me (making it easy for my parents by adding what I wanted for Christmas to their Amazon shopping carts) will more than likely get stuck with a few bad Christmas gifts. It’s okay though, it’s a burden we all have to bear, so I’ll brave the post holiday madness and head to the return lines.
I just hope I don’t get anything quite as bad as these gifts. Read More »

Holiday season is by far my favorite time of the year. It’s a season of excessive desserts, eggnog, sample sales, boots and of course, lots and lots of gifts.
What’s not to love?!
No matter which holiday you celebrate, gift giving is a staple of the holiday season. But there is some major pressure when picking out a gift for that special someone. And in this not-so-fabulous economy, a lot of people don’t have the resources to buy the perfect gift anymore.
Well, like I always say, if you can’t buy it make it. (Okay, so I don’t usually say that on day-to-day basis, but you get my point.)
Homemade gifts can be some of the most cherished and beloved gifts. There’s nothing better than seeing someone’s face light up as they unwrap and enjoy a gift you made especially for them. But not all homemade gifts are created equal. Frankly, some just plain blow. Hard. Re-gifted presents and macaroni necklaces won’t cut it anymore, so I’ve rounded up a list of the best homemade gifts that don’t suck. Read More »

The holiday seasons are all about eating too many dips, spending way too much money on frenemy gifts, and watching Elf on repeat. This year we’re prepared to take the stress and the frustration out of holiday gift giving by giving you the ultimate gift guides to buying the perfect presents for your favorite people (and we’re splitting into 3 different price ranges so you can choose the gift based on how much you actually like the person!). So set this series as your favorite because all week we’re bringing you the best.
It’s tough to buy gifts for the friend who loves to read. The choice should seem obvious, shouldn’t it? Buy a book. But what type of book? What has she read? What does he want to read? Hardcover or paperback? New or used? The questions are endless. And that’s before you even get into accessories. Are bookmarks too cliché? Will she even use them? Are all those gadgets really necessary?
All valid questions. But more importantly, all answerable questions. College Candy is breaking down the answers for you. With prices ranging from $11.99 to $139 we’ve got all your bases covered, from the books, to the book lights to the book shelves.
So no more standing in the middle of Barnes and Noble staring at the stacks of bestsellers attempting to figure out which one is actually worth reading. I’ve done the hard work for you and scoured those (cyber) shelves to provide you with the best gift options for the bookworms in your life. Read More »

Parents are notoriously difficult to shop for. I mean, how do you do justice to the people who brought you into this world and then continued to give you everything? A homemade “free back massage” isn’t going to cut it, ladies. Luckily, our guide will help you show the love and gratitude with gifts that are appropriate, thoughtful, original and, most importantly, wallet friendly. Read More »

‘Tis better to give than receive, right? Well, technically speaking. Except when it comes time to figure out what the hell you’re getting the man in your life this Christmas. And they say we’re hard to shop for!? Psh, please. Give me a couple Twizzlers and a three-karat diamond and I’m just peachy. (Sarcasm?)
To ease the process of avoiding iTunes gift certificate and the ever classic “here’s a card and a blow job,” here are a few alternative ideas… Read More »

Not sure what to get for your BFF, your fave gal pal, the girl who holds your hair back in the bar bathroom after you did that unnecessary tequila shot? Well look no further because we’ve found the most fun, the most cool, and the most unique gifts out there. Because your best friend, the girl who didn’t say anything when you made her stay all night listing reasons your ex sucked, deserves nothing but the greatest gifts. Read More »

Tis the season for holiday gifts. The only problem is… what on earth are you going to get everyone?
Dads might just be the hardest people on earth to shop for. Your roommate is the pickiest person EVER, always giving you that “aw I love it” response that is totally transparent with fakeness. And you NEVER see her wearing that killer sequined J.Crew tee you got her. And on top of that, you are fresh out of ideas that are remotely unique (I love Starbucks gift cards just as must as the next person but let’s face it, they rank pretty low on the originality scale).
Enter: The Gift Insider.
AKA a gift to you from the gift-giving angels.
Formally known as “Gift Giving with Love,” a blog, The Gift Insider got a mega-makeover. It’s incredibly easy to use and they have breakdowns of totally original, creative gifts for everyone in your life, from your grandpa to your mailman. Read More »
