We put out a call to CollegeCandy readers last week to submit their P.O.S. computer sob stories (with photos, of course!) to win a brand new laptop bundle from HP. And boy were there a lot of them. Seriously, we had no idea so many of you were still using desktops! WTF?!

We spent the weekend sifting through the entries (and drinking) looking for the worst of the worst and narrowed it down to five really crap-tastic computing experiences.

“Rude Awakenings of a Jane Austen Addict” is a companion to Laurie Viera Rigler’s first novel “Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict.” In “Confessions,” Courtney Stone, a modern 21st century blonde, finds herself trapped in the body of Jane Mansfield, a brunette English rose from the 1800′s. She must navigate through and cope with all the differences between her modern society and Victorian society, including bizarre medical and courtship practices.

“Rude Awakenings” runs parallel to “Confessions,” beginning with Jane Mansfield waking up in Courtney’s body in the 21st Century. She is confused and puzzled by her new surroundings and simply shocked when she finds her reflection to be a curvy blonde as opposed to a willowy brunette.  Jane must navigate through Courtney’s everyday life as well; dealing with Wes, her former best friend who was involved in the breakup of her engagement and handling employment even though it shocks her. Seeing the modern world through naive eyes is an interesting concept and Rigler executes it flawlessly.

Although “Confessions” is humorous, I found “Rude Awakenings” to be absolutely hilarious. Jane’s confusion and enchantment with the modern world is both charming and laugh-inducing. From shocking Courtney’s friends by sporting the wedding gown that she intended to marry her ex-fiance in (Jane dubs it the only thing modest enough in Courtney’s closet), to insisting that her name is indeed Jane Mansfield although her friends maintain that Courtney has adopted the name of a long-dead sex symbol, the book is full of laughs. Courtney’s friends explain this odd behavior with a head injury Courtney sustained, making it more hilarious. Spring is officially here (since Friday!!) and I’m super excited.  What’s not to love about spring?  First of all, there’s pretty flowers and cute baby animals everywhere, obviously.  And warmer weather means finally being able to shed those winter coats, scarves, and gloves in favor of cute spring dresses and sandals!

Oh, it also happens to mean the end of the semester is quickly approaching! Woohoo!

I’m sure you’ve seen the previews for the new movie “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” which comes out tonight. It’s based on a great teen fiction book by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. The book chronicles the adventures of two teenagers, Nick and Norah, who meet by chance in a club and spend a crazy night together in New York City. All the events of the evening revolve around music, hence the title. Duh.

Seth Rogan and Judd Apatow have done it again. Pineapple Express is funktabulous. A satirical throwback to old 80′s action movies, Pineapple Express is pretty damn smart for a weed film, and there’s just something about Rogan’s laugh that makes me want to laugh too. Plus, James Franco is the hot pothead of my dreams.

Because we here at CC love good music just as much as we love an Apatow film, we’ve got 4 Pineapple Express soundtrack CD’s to give away today! Usually, I’m not the biggest fan of soundtracks, but any compilation with Huey Lewis & The News, Public Enemy, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Robert Palmer HAS to be good.
