Zac Efron has fans. And some of them may have rabies.
Given the obscene amount of comments (perhaps the most CC has ever received on one article? At least with the most spelling mistakes) connected to my first blog about this 17-year-old sugar coated star, I’m a little afraid to have another go.
But what the hell. I’m a troublemaker.
According to half a dozen angry rants, I don’t know Zac at all, he’s an amazing actor, his body just oozes hotness, and anyone who comes close to insulting him is wasting the world’s time—because he is loved by all.
So here’s what I did. I held my breath, typed his name into Google, and ventured out onto the Internet Superhighway to find out about all things Efron. Would recent pictures prove to me that he is indeed hotter than the sun? After reading a few interviews, would I be convinced of his supposed saintly goodness? And would I ever find out who Vanessa Hudgens was?
I’ll tell you one thing, wax figure or not, Z. Efron has got more websites devoted to him than Jenna Jameson (approximately. I didn’t actually do the math). He has certifiably grabbed the Tween market in two well manicured hands, and as long as he’s attached to Disney and stays away from the coke, seems destined to make little girls weep from joy for years.
But as a 24-year-old woman, I still don’t get it. I just don’t. And you know what, I don’t think I’m supposed to. Read More »

Fine, it’s a little narcissistic but you may be surprised in what you find when you Google your very own name. Sure, there is the normal stuff including IMDB pages, Associated Content, maybe even a few accomplishments.
But what you may be shocked to see are the indiscretions as well. Upon Googling herself, a friend of mine recently discovered that when she was pulled over and arrested for a DUI it wound up on the Daily News.com. The truly alarming part was not the write up but the interview with police and the use of her address.
There it was clear as day her name, age, address and a quote saying that she was clearly wasted. As if central booking and alcohol programs weren’t enough, apparently public embarrassment is also a prerequisite. Read More »

If you don’t know about Quicksilverscreen.com all I can tell you is that you have simple been missing out . Finally, a place on the internet where you can go and watch movies for FREE! Literally any movie you can think of is either up on this mass internet forum or will be after you leave a request for it.
An amazing film equivalent of LimeWire, the only difference is that you don’t have to risk a virus to download any of these films, they simply stream from a website.Upon entering the forum, you have the option to look up different categories. Most people opt for New Releases because many of the films are still playing in theaters. Read More »

The internet is the easiest go-to tool for any question or topic you may need to find information on. I often find myself googling random questions related to beauty, diet, or relationships depending on what I am dealing with in my own life and how much time I have to kill in between classes.
But, I had yet to find one overall comprehensive website that pertained to everything female and included useful advice. The best advice always seems to be word of mouth from those who have been there before, and now one website includes all of these factors.
toptipsforgirls.com is one of my new favorite websites. It is described as a wikipedia-like online manual, and according to Vanity Fair, “the site allows visitors to rate tips and to share their own, so the collected wisdom of a world of women is available at the click of a mouse.” Read More »

Oh man, CNN.com is so behind the ball.
I’ve been doing this for years!
It just comes with today’s technology territory — you give me an option to stalk someone without feeling guilty about it, and I’m gonna knock myself out. Online dating is no longer reserved for computer nerds and the occasional psycho, we’re all diving in! The more normal people that get on the online dating train, the more we’re going to try and hedge our bets before that first meeting rolls around.
Sure, someone may have a cute picture and damn good grammar, but they could still be a freak on the inside. Checking the old Facebook or Myspace page can sometimes shed some very bright lights on some very iffy behavior. Plus, it’s a great way to find out if they’re just posting pictures with good angles. Okay, I know this post isn’t rife with sexual positions or homoerotic dudes, but it may just save your academic life.
Y’know how you always have to write paginated papers with a predetermined amount of scholarly sources? And y’know how you usually have to go to the library and rifle through all sorts of papers and studies to determine what is actually “scholarly” versus what “could be considered scholarly”?
Well, leave it to Google to save the freaking day again.
Google Scholar sorts exclusively through scholarly sources and links directly to the articles – oftentimes downloadable at the click of a button if you’re linking through an .edu server. It’s like having your very own Research Robot. Seriously, since discovering this gem of a search engine, I have swapped all-nighters for sweet, sweet sleep.
Now all we need is for Google to develop a program that actually writes the papers for us. They could call it Google Lazyass. Then we’ll be alllll set.
