This is what you call a comeback?

Britney Spears’s performance at the House of Blues in Orlando on Saturday night apparently went very wrong. According to a source, while the mother of two was dancing and lip syncing to some of her old tunes, her CD skipped, causing Spears to momentarily freak out and “turn her back on the audience”.

The source continues, “when [the skipping] stopped, she turned around with this look on her face like she was gonna puke!!! I really felt bad for her. Then the thing started skipping really badly again!!! And then again and again. It was crazy.”

Yes, you made it out of rehab … all 30 days of it! And, you shaved your head in a proclamation of rebellion … or just some weird publicity stunt that backfired and left you with the need to wear a different wig every day.

But seriously, wait until you truly have your life back on track to try and stage a comeback. Please.

I write this desperate plea to Brit Brit after reading the details of her second “comeback” performance on perezhilton.com. It took place at the House of Blues in Anaheim and was a whole 15 minutes long. She basically lip-synched some of her old stuff and danced around. That really does not sound like a comeback to me. Remember Mariah Carey’s comeback after Glitter? Now that was a real comeback.

Apparently, the crowd wasn’t too pleased with Ms. Spear’s performance either, and Perez also reports that “Somebody threw a Marshmallow-sized object at Britney during her last song and it nearly hit her. Her bodyguard got pissed and whisked her off the stage.” Read More »
