You know that hunch you get when you know something just isn’t right? Or when something aligns so perfectly in life that you just play it off as a coincidence?

What if it was really your dead grandpa trying to clue you in on something big or your spirit guide/guardian angel helping things along?

I know, to the average person I sound crazy. But I swear I’m not. I’m just your average 20-something girl who believes in the idea that there are spirits around us guiding us through life and that if we listen closely enough, they are willing to communicate. And while this is a new idea to me, Psychic Medium Rebecca Rosen discovered her gift of communicating with those who have crossed over back when she was in college (as if worrying what to wear to formal wasn’t a big enough challenge!).

When I first saw Rebecca Rosen in high school at an audience reading, I was blown away. With the risk of sounding off the wall, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that my own grandfather had come through (and hey, if I’m crazy then so is Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox who are also clients of Rebecca’s). Then when I interviewed her last August (over the phone mind you) I was even more convinced when she acknowledged my grandmother’s ring that I wear on my finger every day in hopes of good things to come.

So after my own amazing experiences, I believe that Rebecca’s new book “Spirited” is totes something worth being in The Know about, whether you are a big time believer (uh – me) or the most skeptical skeptic. In the book, she goes into her own personal struggle and she got this gift, and explains how we don’t NEED mediums or psychics to tap into this for ourselves. She believes that everyone can communicate with their own crossed-over loved ones and guides, we just need to develop our own intuition. Even for those who don’t believe it’s possible to talk to “dead people,” Spirited breaks down great meditation exercises to quiet your mind, look inward and tune in to yourself – something that we all can benefit from.

Spirited will teach you that perhaps there is no such thing as a coincidence, and that gut feeling you have? Well Rebecca would say, it’s there for a reason. She will also teach you how to strengthen that ability so “coincidences” and hunches happen a lot more frequently – only this time you will know better than to chalk it up to chance.

Also worth being in the know about? Rebecca’s current book tour; she is hitting a bunch of cities and doing audience readings/book signings in each one! And much like our annual bar crawl, it’s a total CME (Can’t Miss Event) in my book!

Rumor has it that Brad and Angie are breaking up.

While the couple has not officially said anything just yet, the media world is buzzing. Not surprisingly (it is Brangelina, after all) every tabloid, gossip site and news source has covered the story.  What is surprising, though, is the fact that no one really seems to care.

Unlike Brad’s last relationship fail with Jennifer Aniston, (and many other celebrity marriages) the world isn’t approaching this story with a “OMG, not THEM!” sort of feeling, but rather with an an “It’s about time” attitude. We were all devastated when the perfection of Brad and Jen was no more, but it seems we feel no remorse when chewing on the thought of the farewell of Brad and Angie (and, hopefully, that awful beard Brad’s been sportin’).

Why is this particular break-up not hitting the tabloids with headlines, like “OMG We Can’t Believe It!?” And why does everyone want this relationship to fail?

Two words: Angelina Jolie.

Angelina may be a spectacular and successful actress, but she’s been rubbing many of us the wrong way since she announced she’d had sex with Billy Bob on the way to the Oscars. And it only got worse when she stabbed America’s sweetheart, Jen Aniston, in the back by stealing her man from under her nose. We all felt the sting. Basking in the pleasure of a broken-hearted Angelina Jolie, then, is a guilty pleasure I think everyone subconsciously craves.

And who doesn’t feel a bit threatened by her perfection? Maybe it’s because we are all jealous she can wear a $20 thrifted dress on the red carpet and looking absolutely stunning. Or how flawless her acting career is. Or how she is saving the world, one person at a time.  Or how she goes to bed with Brad Pitt every night. She is Angelina Jolie. She is perfect. And now it’s our chance to strike back a little bit; to savor the moment as Angelina’s perfect facade cracks a little and her world comes crumbling down.

Is it bad that I just smiled at the thought?

I feel bad saying it, but I think I’d be pleased if this break-up were official. And besides worrying about the fate of the litter children, I think the world agrees.

So, despite the fact that their assistants and private security will probably send these gifts away before they have the chance to open and enjoy them, here is my list of gifts I’ll be picking up for my favorite Hollywood A (and D) Listers.

Katie Holmes: A Patagonia jacket and some running shoes. The company is eco-friendly, you know. And, well, you never know when Katie might need to go running. In the middle of the night. In the middle of the winter. From a large compound in Telluride.

Brad Pitt: Condoms. And lots of them.  I don’t care how much he might love getting it on with his hot wife kids, we all know what happens to families with too many. And eight is already too many. Plus, Brad is so much sexier on a motorcycle than when he’s toting the kids around in a giant Escalade. And a nasty beard.

Jennifer Aniston: We know this Hollywood starlet hasn’t had the best luck with men, so we thought we’d give her something a little more dependable. Now she can have it all: the long-term cuddle buddy she’s been looking for, without all of that tabloid heartache.

Rob Pattinson: Me, wrapped in a bow. Or, you know, maybe some shampoo?

Tiger Woods: A lifetime pass The Bunny Ranch, the legal brothel in Nevada. Homeboy’s gonna need to get his rocks off somewhere now that he’s effed his way through the entire population of Florida.

Speidi: A vacation. Forever. In Sub-Saharan Africa. What can I say – I’m a giver.

Jon Gosselin: It’s hard to look cool in a giant van when you’re carting around your eight adorable Asian kids. Which is why Jon totally needs some Ed Hardy floor mats and a steering wheel cover. And if I have any money left over, maybe I’ll throw in a custom paint job, too. Anything to help Jonny Boy find true love again.

Adam Lambert:  Eye-makeup remover.  And a chisel.

Kanye West: According to Tim McGraw AND Snoop Dogg, all Kanye West deserves for Christmas is a serious beat down. But maybe I should leave that to Chris Brown?

I have a good life: a job I love, a closet full of fantastic clothes, and some pretty rad friends and family. But even with all that I am always wondering what it would be like to trade places with someone else for a day.

Like my friend Amy – I’ve always wanted to know what it is like to have big boobs and a teeny, tiny waist. Or Octomom – spending a single day with 14 kids will teach me not to skip the condom when I’m in the heat of the moment. Or pretty much any celebrity with oodles of money and people bowing down to them wherever they go.

I’m pretty sure everyone – no matter how content – would give anything (even that coveted slice of drunken late-night pizza) to be someone else for one day. So this week I asked the CollegeCandy writers which celebrity they’d want to trade places with.

Who do you wanna be?

Thu – USC: I’d be Oprah and give away houses this time.

Kayla – California State University, Sacramento: Maybe I would be Heidi Montag. It might be nice to not have to use my brain for one day.

Kathryn – University of Wisconsin-Madison: I would want to trade places with Renee Zellweger. ONLY because she’s reportedly dating Bradley Cooper. Yum.

Elizabeth – UC Berkeley: Jennifer Aniston.  She’s hot and, let’s face it, everybody secretly roots for Team Aniston.

Brithny – Duke: Michelle Obama! ‘Cause then I’d be First Lady, have an awesome family (and cute dog), and tons of fabulous clothes.

Elise – Stanford: I’d be Padma Lakshmi -  total fox, AND she gets to sample all the deliciousness on Top Chef.

Cristina – Michigan State:  I’d have to say Chloe Sevigny.  She dresses like a boss and is so weird she’s cool.

Jill – University of Wisconsin: I want to trade places with whoever is dating Jason Segel. He’s funny, he’s tall and have you seen the full frontal nudity in Forgetting Sarah Marshall?

Desiree – Columbia University: I’d love to be Christina Hendricks, the woman who plays Joan Holloway on Mad Men. She’s really hot right now but not hot in a let’s-wait-to-see-how-she-screws-up-next way. Beauty, brains, sharp tongue, and she gets to raid the wardrobe closet!

Brittany – University of Richmond: I think I would be Brooke Hogan or Lady Gaga for a day. That way I can settle the age old man/woman debate. It would be for the greater good of society. I am philanthropic in that way.

Carly – Grinnell: This is a toughie, but I think I would love to be J.K. Rowling for a day so I could see what it’s like in her mind.

Ricki – University of Michigan: I need to be Heidi Klum.  I can speak in a cool accent, walk down the Victoria’s Secret runway, and discover if she actually is human since she is always working and has four kids and a hot hubby.

Kari – Florida State:  I would trade places with Robert Pattinson for the day, for three reasons and three reasons only. 1) Stare at myself naked in the mirror for a few hours, 2) Get drunk and chain smoke at the Chateau Marmont for no reason, 3) Make out with/ declare my love for Kristen Stewart in the most public way possible, just to see if I could beat Obama’s magazine cover record.

Ness – Sheridan: I would be Paris Hilton. Just to figure out why the hell she thinks she’s famous.

Elizabeth – University of Missouri: Rachel Zoe – I don’t know if she actually counts, but I would love to be able to wear anything in her closet for a day. Oh, and have Brad, aka the cutest guy on the planet, as my assistant.

John – UConn: Emma Watson is going to be a freshman at Brown, and I’m going to be a senior at UConn. I’d trade places with her in a heartbeat. Oh, to be a young girl again!

Mandy – Hofstra: I’d like to switch places with Jenna Dewan so I can do the nasty with Channing Tatum. Multiple times.

Sara C – Fordham: I would want to be Usain Bolt, the sprinter from Jamaica who just broke his own world record in the 100m dash (9.58 seconds, which translates to about 24 mph). How sick must it feel to be able to run that fast?!?

Sarabeth – University of Texas: Angelina Jolie. Save the world, take care of some adorable kids, AND sleep with Brad Pitt? Count me in.

Maddie – Tufts: Gisele. It’s pretty self explanatory. Plus I’ve always wanted to wear those Victoria’s Secret wings!

Alana – Boston University: I’d totally want to be Suri Cruise. She sits around all day, looks cute and gets to wear Burberry.

Always entertained by the fantastic “Celebretard Showdowns,” I was inspired to write a top ten list of the celebs that I (and hopefully you) love to hate. We hate them, we want them out of our lives, but we can’t stop reading, blogging and talking about these trainwrecks.

10. Paris Hilton
Is there anyone more entertaining than Miss Hilton? From her sex tape to the Simple Life, we can’t get enough of her. Her prison scandal was a headliner on CNN, MSNBC, FOX News and all other news outlets. Even though her vocabulary consists of about thirty words and phrases, similar to a talking doll, her vapid, gangly bottle blonde self still draws the attention of millions. Now that’s hot.

It’s Miley! Aw, what a nugget of future trainwreck. I can’t wait to see how she grows up. I smell a Very Mischa Future for her.

7. Lindsay Lohan
I love Lindsay. I love everything about her, from the Adderall to the showing up at her ex’s house drunkenly to the insane dad to the alleged theft. Can’t get enough of her. She certainly puts my mistakes into perspective, and I thank her for that.

6. The Kardashians
The whole family is a complete circus. I mean, they have their own reality show. Where the prepubescent girls are practicing stripping. Kim Kardashian is famous for a sex tape and her step dad is famous for winning a gold medal back in the stone age. Not to mention, Bruce is a great advertisement for male Botox. What’s not to love to hate? Khloe, I exclude you from all of that. I really just love you.

5. Speidi
These two might be the smartest people in Hollywood. The contrived photo shoots. The tears on “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!” They own their fakeness. We hate them for it, but we sure do love some posed pictures of them making out in face masks when we’ve got a Swine Flu crisis on our hands.

4. Jennifer Aniston
On the complete flip-side of a contrived couple, we have Miss Aniston. So natural. So girl next door. So effing boring and yet still all up in my celeb gossip. Good lord, woman. Just get married and stop making movies forever.
