CC Beauty Live: Pucker Up With BITE

I don’t bite much. But I might with these lip products from BITE Beauty. Seriously. For me, lip care is one of the most important parts of my beauty routine. I know I’m always talking about Aquaphor, and that’s because it helps keep my lips super smooth. Don’t lie, you don’t want to kiss someone with chapped lips so why would you risk that for yourself? Lip care is really effortless so long as you have the right products. If I could ban Chapstick, I would in a heartbeat. Lips need smooth, hydrating products. Not wax.

When BITE Beauty offered to send me some testers, I was really excited. I’m usually testing out skincare or body products. Lips are so neglected, even in samples! Their products are filled with “super antioxidant reversatrol” which is a fancy way of saying “stuff that’s really good for you”. The Luminous Creme Lipstick ($24 at Sephora) contains as many antioxidants as five glasses of red wine! It won’t get you a buzz, but a cute guy may just buy you a drink when staring at your mouth (I’m not making any guarantees). Read More »

CC Beauty Live: Winter Woes

A few weeks ago, I gave you all some winter tips to keep your skin and hair in check as the weather started getting chilly. Well, now I’ve got some more! There are some of the same (like moisturize A LOT! And use Aquaphor!), but how else will I drill it into your head? This stuff’s important, yo.

If you live at the beach and are not suffering from any winter issues, then I hope you know how jealous I am of you. But you’re jealous of my winter hat because it’s so freakin’ cute, so I guess we’re even.  And just because you’ll be really tan when I get back from winter break doesn’t mean I won’t be, too. That’s what Jergen’s Gradual Tanning Lotion is for, duh.

If you are having winter issues, then I hope I’m some help to you! And if you have other problems that aren’t mentioned, ask away in the comments, and I’ll try my best to help you out!

Don’t forget to check out my other videos right here!

CC Beauty Live: Kiss This

I know it’s cold and dry where most of you are living, and your lips and skin are probably suffering just like mine. Well, I have something that can save your lips from the arctic tundra outside your door and make them just as kissable as they were when it was nice and toasty out! Move over, Aquaphor; there’s a new balm in town.

I’m sure you’ve seen this stuff on the store shelves and wondered if it was worth the money. Trust me – it is. And with the wide variety of these babies, you’ll definitely find one that will be the perfect addition to your beauty regimen this winter.

All Made Up: Walking the Lip Line

lipstick4lqy3.jpgLip Liner – most college age girls skip it all together and, quite frankly, probably associate it with crazy old ladies that draw on their faces with Crayola crayons. But don’t let those trend-ruiners ruin lip liner for you! There are some cases where you NEED to wear it.

Since most of us don’t usually (or ever) rock the lined lip I’ve compiled some basic do’s and don’ts so you know what to use and when to use it for the perfect pout.

When you DO need it:

Lip liner is a MUST if you are wearing dark lipstick colors or opaque glosses. If you want to try for some Hollywood red lips you NEED to match it with a good liner. It’s also a good idea for formal occasions or for professional photographs. Using lip liner will make you look polished and glamorous.

When you DON’T need it:

You shouldn’t use lip liners for every day makeup. You might be mistaken for a theater major. Never use liner with sheer glosses or lipsticks. The liner stays longer than the lip color so you can end up looking a little Bozo the Clown. Read More »
