So many award shows, so little time.

First the MTV VMAs and now the Primetime Emmys!

While the actual show is sorta boring, the Emmy red carpet is one of the best of the year. We love to see what Jenna Fischer looks like when she’s not donning dowdy Pam Beasly clothes. And who doesn’t want to see Patrick Dempsey in a tux? Mmmm mmmm good.

Since we’ve got nothing else to do on a Sunday night (besides that 175 pages of reading for history), we thought we’d watch the Red Carpet show with you. Starting at 6pm EST we’ll be live-blogging it all with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic on the E! Emmy preshow.

So order some Thai delivery, grab your laptop and watch with us! We’re sure there won’t be any Kanye moments, but we can guarantee someone will be wearing something equally as scandalous.

The VMAs are always the best show of the year, and tonight will definitely be no different. We’ve been waiting for weeks and now we’re ready with a bowl of cookie dough in one hand and a MacBook in the other to catch every. last. minute.

Tonight, tonight, won’t be just any night.

It’s time for the 25^th annual Video Music Awards, MTV’s biggest event of the year.

Yes, even bigger than the premier of Real World/Road Rules Challenge #426.

From Janet Jackson opening with a tribute to Michael to host Russell Brand’s hilariously offensive quips to performances by Taylor Swift, Green Day, and Lady Gaga, this show promises to be seriously entertaining. And College Candy will be liveblogging every step of the way.

From the red carpet (CollegeCandy will be there!) to the show (the rest of the CollegeCandy staff will be sitting at home, in their PJs, eating takeout Chinese food and watching it live!) we’ll cover it all.

We’ll kick it off at 8 pm EST with the VMA pre-show and won’t stop until the last Moonman has been awarded. Unless we have to pee/get a snack, but we’ll wait until a commercial break so we won’t miss a thing.

So put on your PJs, grab your laptop and gorge yourself on the biggest musical acts of the year. It’s sure to be a great show… especially if something like this happens again.

We’ve got our wine, we’ve got our cupcakes and we’re ready for the Oscars! Well, the pre-show, that is. The Red Carpet is everyone’s favorite part of awards season, and the Academy Awards red carpet is the cream of the crop. Sure, we’re geeked to see who wins the big awards, but we’re girls and we’re more excited to see who takes the biggest fashion risks.

The big night is finally here! On Sunday Brangelina and Jennifer Aniston will be reuniting for the first time since the big divorce the best actors and actresses in Hollywood will be showered with big gold statues and lots and lots of praise.

Yes, my friends, it’s time for the Oscars!

Who is going to win? Who is going to cry? How hot is Hugh Jackman gonna look? And who is going to wear something totally ridiculous?

Since we have nothing better to do on a Sunday night (and since there is really nothing better than talking sh*t about celebrities/staring at Hugh Jackman for 4 hours), CollegeCandy will be ordering in some Pad Thai and watching every last minute.

Everyone’s been talking about Beijing’s Olympic Opening ceremony; it’s futuristic, the best we’ve ever seen, full of spectacle…blah blah blah. Not to be a dick, but how interesting can this sort of thing really be? A bunch of people marching around carrying flags, fireworks, George W…it sounds kind of like the Fourth of July, except slightly more boring, because nobody can be drunk.

Since my social calender has a big gaping hole where tonight’s plans should be, I’ve decided to sit in front of the TV (with or without my face covered in a homemade facial…I’m not telling) and liveblog through this so-called fantastic futuristic mind blowingly awesome ceremony.

Let’s see how badass China really is, shall we?
