Every once in a while you receive an invitation that is impossible turn down. For some people it’s the Bat Mitzvah where JC Chasez was rumored to be performing. For others it’s an MTV-style Sweet Sixteen party where the birthday girl promised that everyone would get to hook up with her topless dancers. And for us here at CollegeCandy, it’s an all-expense paid trip to Vegas to party with the best of them and show our readers how to make the most of Sin City. We’re excited, we’re nervous, and we’re about to get a whole lot closer after sharing a hotel room for a week (FYI Lauren…guess now is the time to tell you that I sleep in the nude). (Editor’s Note: That’s OK, Jenni – I get gassy when I’m drunk.)

Not only are we psyched to be crossing off another item on our list of 25 things to do before you turn 25, but we’re also ready to participate in everything that Vegas has to offer. Based on  your suggestions (didn’t see the post asking for suggestions? That’s because it was on our FB page and Twitter-feed!), we’ve put together the ultimate Vegas bucket list, and we’ll be keeping you updated with photos, videos, and tweets as we cross each item off the list.

Pray for us! No, really. Please pray.

1. Get a photo with a D-List celebrity.

2. Win big, lose it all, and gain a valuable lesson about the risks of gambling on a blogger’s salary

3. Get married to a stranger just for the sake of not growing old with cats and knitting needles having a great/stereotypical Vegas story

4. Kiss an Elvis impersonator on the lips.

5. Go to an all-you-can-eat $10.95 buffet (in pants with an elastic waistband) and take full advantage.

6. Hold back Lauren’s hair as she throws up her $10.95 meal while telling her that eating that 5th sirloin steak was a mistake.

7. Live blog from a pool.

7.5. Laugh/cry at our Macbook-shaped burn lines on our thighs. Apply aloe vigorously.

8.  Skinny dip in the Bellagio fountain… after one too many free cocktails at the blackjack table.

9. Get photos with the cops who arrest us for skinny dipping in the Bellagio fountain.

10. Drunk dial our boss (nightly). Giggle. Hang up. Do it again.

Of course, with 4 days in Sin City, we’re also bound to break our new FlipCam, get into a fist fight with the dudes from BroBible, sexile one another, and promise god that we’ll never drink again if he lets us out of Vegas alive. Here’s hoping he’ll listen.

It’s finally here! The glitz, the glamor, the celebrities stuffed into Spanx so they look flawless in their couture gowns. Yes, the Golden Globes pre-show is about to start and, OMG, we could not be more excited! Sure, the actual awards show is gonna be fantastic (go Gabourey Sidibe!), but we’re all about the fashion around here.

6:33: Yay Neil Patrick Harris! Could you love a gay man more? He’s funny, he’s humble and, damn, he looks great in a tux.

6:36: HOLY HELL Christina Hendricks’ BOOBS. Is that what Heidi Montag was aspiring for? And, damn, Emily Blunt looks gorge. But there is John? WHERE IS HE??

6:38: Oh wait. There he is. Looking adorable as always. I love you, John Krasinski! Don’t get married! (Although I guess if I was gonna lose him to someone, it should be to someone as gorgeous and fabulous as Emily Blunt.)

6:41: Ok, I know Adrian Grenier may have smelly balls (at least that’s the rumor) but homeboy looks goooood. There is something about those curls that makes me weak in the knees.

6:42: Inglorious Basterds should most definitely win Best Movie. Even if Tarantino is the biggest weirdo on this planet.

6:44: OK, I love you Lea Michele, but that dress is a bit too much. Why is it so….big?

6:46: Sorry, Lea, but Sandra Bullock is far more importante than you. Even if her dress isn’t her best choice. Color? Great. Hair? Fantastic? Weird sheer wings? Not so much.

6:49: Wait. Is Chase Crawford really saying that his life is hard because he’s so ridiculously good looking?

6:50: Vera Farmiga – I don’t know who you are, but I’m LOVING your dress. It’s black but it’s different, and that’s not easy to do (just ask Lea Michele). Also, I think Fergie is incredibly talented but she’s just not…pretty. Especially when she tries to dress all classy. It just doesn’t look right. Josh, on the other hand, is very, very, veryyyyy pretty.

6:52: George Clooney’s lady friend looks a little like a post-op tranny. In a REALLY pretty dress.

6:58: Marillon Cotillard might be the most beautiful woman on this planet. Even if her bra is hanging out of her dress. And I’m lovin’ Anna Paquin’s dress on the top (yayyy cleavage), but it’s just a bit too much after that.

7:03: Oh no, Tina Fey. Oh nooooo. Who let her out in that thing? Not only is the skirt too full, but could that length be any less flattering? I think she might end up with worst dressed.

7:10: Not sure how I’m feeling about Penelope Cruz’s dress. I was expecting so much more from her. I mean, she’s obviously gorgeous, but the dress really let me down. She almost looks….fat in it!

7:16: OMG MARIAH CAREY! Either she’s pregnant or she shrunk that dress in the wash. Or she’s training to be a linebacker. She looked better in Precious than she does right now.

7:32: I’ll take Taylor Lautner to the Olive Garden! And, way to go, Courtney Cox. Her hair, Jewels and dress are all bangin! It’s amazing how simple yet sexy she can be.

7:34: Good work on Kate Hudson’s part to choose a dress that will make her look like she’s got SOMETHING going on on that chest of hers.

7:36:  Heidi Klum looks gorgeous as always. She may be carrying some extra baby weight, but she still looks breathtaking in that Cavalli dress. Seal might be the luckiest man on the planet.

Did I mention that the entire venue was crammed with kegs, Solo cups and celebs? Imagine a frat party. With Zooey Deschanel and Mary Louise Parker. Only the music doesn’t suck. And instead of your bestie making out with the make-shift bartender? A very sloppy David Cross is macking it with Amber Tamblyn.

The show airs tonight at 10PM on MTVu. And everyone who appreciates really good music (and booze) just needs to watch. Here’s a little taste of the going-ons:

- Me and my roommate – aka my assistant/Red Bull Vodka (more on that later) runner for the night – arrive and get placed in prime seating, inches away from the celebs and, more importantly, the open bar. We are closely behind some Real World d-bag who is waving to everyone in general admission. Bro, you are not famous. Sit down. Shut up.

- Pete Wentz in all his mangs (man bangs) glory gets on stage to kick off the Woodies, red Solo cup in hand and gives a big cheers to all the names here. Cam’ron‘s here? What!

- Matt and Kim start the awards with a nearly nude performance. Loving it.

-  Is this a hipster event? There are Ray-Bans everywhere.

- Is David Cross REALLY dating Amber Tamblyn. Oh, they’re making out. Gross. Tobias Funke, you cupid.

- 3!Oh!3! Presents an award, in full-on Gaga attire. Loving them.

- I am so excited for the Death Cab performance, I can barely contain myself. My roommate has become besties with the keg pumper and keeps getting yelled at by the surprisingly dour MTV security.

- Tech N9ne! Seriously, what other MTV show gives you Passion Pit and TechN9ne in the same time frame? Beautiful.

- Passion Pit: Amazing performance. Red bull vodkas, delicious. Even tastier when they’re free.

- Who is this Alexa Chung person and why is she at every event I go to for MTV?

- P.O.S. rocks out right in the crowd.

- Death Cab was phenomenal live. Especially “Sound of Settling.” They’re so good. SO good.

- Cam’ron spotted with huge posse. Now about to perform. Must. Hang. Out. With. Him.

- Leighton & Cyndi Lauper present Woodie of the Year… fingers crossed for Silversun Pickups. My bets are on Kings of Leon.

- Kings of Leon it is. SHOULD I PULL A KANYE?

- No. Too drunk and too far. I need pizza. All this kegger-ness is making me hungry. My roommate is being belligerent and yelling at hipsters. Mary Louise Parker is wasted with all of us. Dead Weather is performing. Hello, Jack White. Okay Time to go home.

- Oh, but not without being hit on by some dude claiming to be in Cam’ron’s posse. I dole out a fake number and exit stage right. PEACE OUT!

Seriously, mix up some cocktails and tune into the Woodies tonight. This is a show not to be missed.

10:00: Here Goes! Britney explains why she wanted to do this film…and sounds sorta drunk.

10:02: Papa Spears in a wife-beater making cheese grits. Somehow this is exactly what I was expecting from this documentary.

10:04: Britney doesn’t like the reference to a “comeback.” She never really left, in her eyes. Clearly the past 3 years have been forgotten for her? I mean, the girl fell off the crazy tree and hit every branch on the way down.

10:07: “I’m a smart person; what the hell was I thinking?” No one knows, Brit. No one knows.

10:09: Britney is talkin’ about dancing and auditioning dancers. It’s weird – listening to her talk, you almost forget how nuts she was this past year. Maybe we were all Punk’d?

10:11: The break up with Justin sent her over the edge. She just didn’t know what to do with herself, so she felt the need to just go out and keetp busy. I’ve been there. You’ve been there. I wonder what my break up meltdowns would look like on TV.

10:13: Did anyone else know she had such a Southern accent?

10:14: Britney married Kevin for all the wrong reasons. Um, duh?

10:16: Head Shaving – Kevin left her and she was sad, so she just shaved her head. I am not really seeing the connection; I think she just really loved that pink wig.

10:23: Security needed just to walk down the street? I am so glad I’m not famous; lord knows how bad I look when I leave the house 95% of the time. I don’t need no Paps following me around and publishing those shots. Especially with this giant zit brewing on my face.

10:27: Is it possible to be a super star and not completely crack? Britney’s success is what caused her breakdown; could there have been another outcome?

10:28: Britney picks up a sweater and mentions it being very Mommy. Which reminds me…where are the kids? And how is a skanky low cut top with a jacket too “businessy”?!

10:32: There is something to be said for spontenaity, something Ms. Spears doesn’t get to enjoy anymore. Could you imagine having your whole life scheduled for you? I can see why she’d go shave her head and go completely nuts.

10:33: Britney got super excited when she found out she’d have dinner with some cast members from the show she saw on Broadway. SHE got excited. That’s really kinda cute, no?

10:37: More Britney perfume commercials. I never understood the point of any perfume commercial – it’s not like I can smell it through my TV (even if I have HD). Why spend the money? Also, Britney is supporting her OWN documentary and buying the time on MTV. Maybe I’m just naively buying into what MTV and the Spears team wants me to. Dammit…I’ve been had.

10:42: Britney’s assistant wakes her from a nap…and they are wearing matching outfits? Is that part of the job description??

10:44: God I feel bad for this girl. She is just coasting through life in a state of total depression. No one takes her seriously, no one listens to her and she has no personal space. I want to hug her!

10:46: Britney talks about her low time. This is what I’ve been waiting forrrr. And…what a bust. She drove around so she didn’t have to be home. And that’s her explanation for going off the deep end.

10:48: Madonna’s here! And she LOVES Britney! And her skin looks WAY tight/her cheeks look weird!

10:52: More talk of the boys, that are apparently the 2 things that keep her going. I guess she really loves ‘em. Who knew?

If I remember correctly (and I drank a LOT of PBR that night, so I can’t be sure), my last hurrah party experience was dedicated to finding a cute hippie I had loved in vain for two years and attempting to tell him how much my heart overflowed whenever he was near.

He was even drunker than I was and so it didn’t work out. But man, did I give it my all.

As did the student body at Wesleyan University a few nights ago. According to a liveblog dedicated to a last hurrah party at the University, cops and dogs and riot gear were totally cramping students’ style as they attempted to party four years away.

Besides the priceless bit about the “beautiful yet menacing” German Shepards (whoever that person is, I’m sure they got A+’s in ALL of their Creative Writing courses. Seriously. What fantastic juxtaposition), it seems like Wesleyan was experiancing your typical last hurrah party — loud drunk kids being belligerent, cops annoyed at loud drunk kids, periodic pepper spray…and lots of yelling about The Man and “Pigs!”
