Most guys we know stay up late dreaming of the day they might end up in a giant orgy with beautiful women. We, however, lie awake at night dreaming of a closet full of beautiful clothes. To the left, a wall of shoes. To the right, shelf upon shelf of delicately handcrafted bags organized by color and size.
Sigh.
We all have our fantasies.
Since guys can turn to the interwebs to get their daily fantasy fix, we thought you should, too! So, we’re bringing you some fashion porn. The best of the best in all things fashionable. Sure, it may be out of your price range, but it’s a fantasy, so live it up in all its delicious glory.
This season it seems like anything goes for shoes. There’s a multitude of colors, styles, and, most importantly, details. But one thing is for sure: boring shoes are definitely out. This season’s shoes are often gorgeous, always interesting, and many are pieces of art that look almost too good (and painful) to put on your feet. There are some that are inexpensive (one pair is on sale for $4.99!!!) and others that we college gals will admire in the shop windows, praying the recession is over (and that we’re millionaires) by the time we get our diploma so we can “invest” in them.

Life isn’t black and white. As much as we wish we simply loved or hated things, there is often that whole annoying gray area in the middle. Like how we love the idea of a monokini, but we just don’t know if we can pull it off. Or how we love making money babysitting, but hate giving up a Saturday night. Damn you, gray area; you make decision-making that much more complicated!]
Anyone who knows me knows not to call on Tuesday nights. Not only is it Biggest Loser night, but it also happens to be the best night of my week because of one thing only: The Real Housewives. I don’t care if they are from Orange County, Hot-lanta or New York, I can’t get enough of these women.
Yet now that The Real Housewives of New Jersey are on the (polluted) horizon, I’m starting to feel a little confused inside about my love for couture catfights and $16,000 handbags.
Yes, ladies, I’m torn. It’s time to break it all down. Read More »

There is nothing better than a Sunday evening with french fries, Franzia and fashion. The Emmy Awards are on right now and they are…meh. The opening scene sorta blew (except for Heidi Klum’s sparkly unitard…that she looked HOT in), the rest is a bit boring, and my Franzia hangover is already kicking in.
But the red carpet fashion was some of the best I’ve seen in years. Seriously, I can’t even think of one dress that I didn’t totally love. Well, maybe one, but that is for a whole other post.
As I walked past a mirror on my way to the bathroom and caught my reflection – sorority butt pants, a stained t-shirt and super greasy hair – I couldn’t help but imagine what I would look like in any of the following gowns.
Not that I will ever walk a red carpet…or get to wear a Nanette Lepore gown…or drink any wine that doesn’t come in a box, but a girl can dream.
Click on the image to get a full look at the gowns and find out why we fell head over Louboutin-heels in love. Read More »

As if we weren’t oversharing enough these days, the interwebs have taken it one step further.
Yes, ladies, in addition to showing everyone how well you can shotgun a beer, who you took to that last date party and what you are doing at every. possible. second., now you can tell everyone what you are wearing too!
Weardrobe.com, “your online fashion closet,” is a new site where you can show the world everything in your closet! Because we care! Because I sit at my computer wondering just what some random girl in California (with a much larger budget than me, I might add) is wearing to the beach on Sunday. Because I need to see a collection of photos of girls in giant sunglasses.
The main premise of the site is to “build” your online wardrobe, but I just don’t get it. You are not even building it with real things. It would be one thing to add photographs of the stuff you actually own, but this site just has you choose from random icons to throw in your fake closet. Like Louboutins and Prada slides.
Then, your friends are supposed to help you create an outfit. With icons! WTF? This is like the Sims meets Neiman Marcus. Read More »

Vanity Fair recently came out with “Hollywood’s Next Wave” of teen superstars, and besides the fact that at 25 I already feel too old to know who half of the kids are (25! Too old!), there was one other tiny piece of information that made me feel a little strange. Out of the 28 teens featured in the article, 2 of them were something other than Caucasian.
Either Young Hollywood has systematically sorted out all of its ethnicity, or Vanity Fair is straight up stupid. Read More »

The Kid’s Choice Awards don’t really conjure up images of high fashion, and usually the celebrities use this time to dress like complete nuts (Rihanna and Jennifer Love Hewitt, I’m talking to you). But for a look that is summery and fun, Cameron Diaz nailed it on the head.
The dress’s print is interesting and unique without being too avant garde. I really love the cardigan, because it keeps the mini-ness of the dress from looking too trampy. The shoes and the purse just set the dress off perfectly.
Now, let’s look at the original cost of this look. The dress is Missoni, and similar dresses retail for about $2,000. The cardigan looks very similar to this Autumn Cashmere cardigan, which originally retailed for $144. The shoes are Christian Louboutin Patent d’Orsay wedges and they clock in at $645. Finally, that adorable little clutch looks pretty similar to this Hobo International Patent Clutch, which would set you back about $138. This brings our grand total to $2,927! A bit pricey for a little summer outfit.
So let’s break it all down and find these pieces in a price range you can afford. Read More »
