It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here: the smokey eye!
You’ve seen it on just about every red carpet from Hollywood to New York. It’s glamorous, it’s sexy, it’s chic… and it’s not that hard to do all by yourself. Nope, you don’t need a professional makeup artist to smoke out your eyes – you just need a few shadows, a few brushes and the know-how. Which is why I’m here.
Watch, learn and rock this look in no time.

One of my favorite things about fall is not the return of pumpkin everything, but the chance to start fresh with my look: new clothes, new boots and a complete overhaul on my makeup drawer. I love how it feels to have a completely fresh wardrobe and to be excited about getting dressed every day. I love the challenge of incorporating new trends into my look. And I just love any excuse to play with my makeup for a few hours.
One of the trends I’m most excited for this fall is the return of the bright, bold, purple eye. I know it sounds scary and overwhelming, but you you can wear violet hues without looking like Barney. Just look at all the models doin’ their thang during Fashion Week!
Like with all bold makeup, the key to pulling off this look is to keep the rest of your face simple so the purple on your eyes will really pop. Try out some of the products and techniques below and I promise to get you looking like a chic starlet walking the red carpet… not like a big, scary Purple People Eater. Read More »

If there is one thing I hate about eye makeup it’s that there seems to be only two options for daytime: swiping on the mascara for a boring, casual look, or doing it up so that you look like you’re about to go clubbing.
Where’s the in-between?
Well, there is one and I found it. This week I’m showing you a natural eye that adds a bit of pop to your everyday makeup routine. It’s super quick and easy and a great way to look good for a day on campus (and not a night out at the bars).

It’s been one hell of a week. Literally.
The mixture of heat and humidity outside is paralleled only in Satan’s world, and the frizz ball that is my head makes me think someone upstairs is very, very upset with me. But, besides all that, I guess the week wasn’t too bad as we wrapped up July, CollegeCandy style.
Our party on Wednesday was nothing short of amazing, except that whole “waking up and going to work the next morning” thing. (If you missed it, you can get jealous and pretend you were there by checkin out some hot pics here!)
We got some great shopping tips, like how to dress yourself thin (without the Spanx!) and how to get cute stuff without spending too much money. And, most important, how to shop for sex toys. Between a new wardrobe, the smoking hot fall makeup trends, and adding that 6 minute workout into your day (while listening to the awesome playlist, of course) you’ll be making a kick-ass impression and be sure to have all the frat boys drooling come Welcome Week.
TV always manages to surprise us and this week was no exception. Behind the scenes with Paris Hilton? A dating show for “real” people? The premier of The Real Housewives of Atlanta? It was like one big train wreck and I couldn’t stop watching. Those people made me feel a whole lot better about myself, even if I have a few…er…interesting secrets. (I may or may not be typing this very post from my bathroom….)
But it’s all over now and I’m resting comfortably on this (hot as balls) Friday afternoon.
Have a great weekend, ladies. Just be sure to pull up your pants, pull down your shirt, and wear a freakin bra! Oh, and don’t be a third wheel, Not cool.
So you just spent ten minutes of your morning de-puffing your eyes with spoons fresh from your freezer, but they still look tired and small. What’s a girl to do? No fear, just use these super simple tricks to make your eyes appear bigger, brighter, and more awake!
If only everything else were so simple.

How many times do you apply bronzer and end up looking like Lindsay Lohan? If this has happened even once, it’s one time too many. The trick to bronzer is simple: less is more. In this quick video, I’ll show you how to get a faux tan on your face that looks natural.
It’s better to use bronzer than get melanoma, ladies! Protect your pretty mug and still look summery fresh.

Now that a lot of us hold weekly office jobs, it makes perfect sense that we want to soak up as much sun as possible on the weekends. However, too many girls make the mistake of not wearing sunscreen while sitting in the sun to compensate for their pale bodies…and end up looking like a lobster instead. Not only is a red face less attractive than a pale one (and much easier to fix with a little bit of bronzer), but burning your skin opens you up to the dangers of melanoma and skin cancer.
About 60,000 people each year are diagnosed with some form of skin cancer, and we want to help you learn how to treat your red and itchy skin to avoid this! Well, that and show you some really easy ways to look cute despite being a different color than most members of the human race:
Keep skin hydrated: If your first shower after the beach left you with tears in your eyes because the water stung so bad, you need to keep your skin hydrated with lotion. The most soothing gels and lotions have aloe vera in them, and this will help soothe your skin and prevent itchiness (and therefore scratching and scarring). You can also use hydrocortisone if your burns are really bad.
Drink liquids with vitamins: Water helps to keep your skin hydrated, but is also really important to keep you hydrated after a long day in the sun. To get the most bang for your buck, be sure to drink things with vitamins C and E in them, as they are crucial in repairing damaged skin cells and ensuring that your body is healthy once your sunburn clears up.
Exfoliate: GENTLY buff away the dead skin. Don’t do this too roughly, as it will irritate your body, but just enough to make sure that the skin cells underneath are not trapped. And you’re not flaking off on your couch/bed/friends for the next two weeks. Read More »

Ever look at pictures of Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox and get caught up in their sultry stares? I do! They are definitely gorgeous ladies and girl crush worthy, but most of that sexy stare down comes from their eyeliner. Yes, you know what that means: you too can channel these sex icons and land a man as fine as Brad Pitt! (Leave those Brian Austin Greens behind.)
Follow the steps in the video and you’ll have a hot look in no time! All you need is a little eyeliner and you’re good to go.

You wake up, go into your bathroom, and look into the mirror. You then scream “WHAT THE EFF IS ON MY FACE?!” It happens. We all break out. If you say you never do, either you’re lying or you don’t PMS. But I digress. You were supposed to go out today, but how can you possibly do that with honker like that on your face?
No fear, I’m here to help!
First things first, DO NOT pick or pop your zits. Seriously, take your hands away from your face! Sit on them if you have to, just do NOT touch that zit. If it’s a really bad one, grab some ice to reduce the redness and swelling and that’s it. Next, follow the steps in this video and in less than 4 minutes your face will look like nothing ever happened!
