Every year, right around Father’s Day I always scramble around trying to find a unique, personalized, yet cheap gift idea to give to my pops. I window shop, Google, ask friends – everything! Yet year after year I come across the same old lame gift suggestions. I’d name a few, but I’m afraid some of you reading this may have already succumbed to these terrible, banal ideas… and I wouldn’t want to offend. Nevertheless, I am here to help!
Unlike the rest of the world, apparently, we here at CollegeCandy realize there are many more types of dads than just the golf-loving dad or techie dad that are often the only ones represented in the usual generic gift guides. And how do we know that? Because we see them on TV every week. If you’re looking for the best gift money can buy for the best dad out there…but have no idea what to get him because you spend more time with TV dads than you do with him, perhaps our handy little guide can help you.
Just pick the TV dad most like your real life dad and – bing, bang, boom – you’ve got yourself the perfect Father’s Day gift.

It’s finals time, meaning us college girls are holed up in libraries across the country, listening to Christmas music on our iPod’s as we daydream of shopping and sharing gossip over coffee instead of cramming our head full of crap we were done caring about at Thanksgiving.
But let’s be honest, there’s only so much studying you can do until you can’t possibly memorize any more formulas or essay questions. That’s when you throw in the towel, pop some popcorn and let yourself relax with one of your favorite TV shows.
Except, wait. NONE. OF. THEM. ARE. ON.
Why the television world decided it would be a good idea to put all shows on hiatus during the one week that we all desperately need our favorite shows is beyond me.
Glee. Gray’s Anatomy. The Hills. Gossip Girl. The Office. 30 Rock.
All of them. Gone. When we need them most. (Thank God we’ve got Jersey Shore!) Obviously we are going to need some things to get us through this week of hell. So here are some suggestions of ways to fill the time slots that your primetime obsessions have vacated. Read More »

What will come of our favorite TV couple!?
After three entire months of reruns, and crappy MTV-I-need-a-girlfriend-and-a-life reality shows, I am more than ready for the new fall lineup, which starts this week!
In addition to our old favorites whose finales left us on the edge of our couches with mouths open and ice cream dripping on our PJs, there are a slew of new shows that are totally worth tuning into this fall.
We know it’s hard to get back into your nightly TV schedules, so we complied a guide for the must-see fall TV! Read More »
