If only everyone came to the MTV Movie Awards in a digital outfit like Jim Carrey’s green-screen suit. Sure, the comedian decided to use the latest nanotechnology to display dogs humping on his chest, but maybe this technology could have at least made some of the red-carpet fashion actually interesting. I mean, seriously, did everyone get sundresses at H&M for this one? Did Chelsea Handler even brush her hair before going on stage? Now, don’t get me wrong, I know that the MTV Movie Awards are not all about floor-length gowns and up-dos, but really, blue jeans? I’d take dogs humping on a suit any day!

But since they didn’t all come up with the electronic suit idea, or even a plastic hamster ball, I am here to report the “fashion” from the red carpet to the stage. So here it is: The good, the bad, and the really, really, hideously ugly.

The Good

Animal Print: even though we were all sure that animal print trend was on its way to being extinct, stars like Transformer’s Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Snow White’s Lilly Collins, and the Generation Award actress, Reese Witherspoon, actually made this look seem sexy and fresh again. Each of these women rocked it out in D&G animal print minis and free-flowing hair. Even though there was a strong sense of déjà vu between the three of them, each actress looked extremely sexy in this fierce jungle-cat style.

The Bad

Metallic and Sequins: after J-Lo wore that GORGEOUS Emilio Pucci mirrored mini to the 2011 Grammy Awards, I really thought everyone else would give up on metallic and sequins. However several actresses tried and failed this look at the MTV Movie Awards. Take for example, Brooklyn Decker’s grandmother of the bride’s No.21 dress. Watching her, you could never have guessed that this woman was only 24, not to mention, a model.  Other stars to who failed with sequins include Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester in a mirrored Balmain dress, (which she obviously stole from J Lo’s closet) and Holland Rodenin, who got lost on the way to the Oscars, in a floor length embellished gown.

Fashion Note: This look was done right by Twilight star Kristen Stewart in a red Bohemian mini. This multi-award winning actress took this overused glam look and made it edgy and new by exchanging the sparkles for safety pins.

The Really, Really Hideously Ugly

Bargain Bin Styles: former Gossip Girl star, Jessica Szohr obviously lost some kind of bet when she showed up in a black and white paisley-print pantsuit. Ladies, please don’t try this look a home… in the office… out on a date… or anywhere where people may see you. This was definitely one of the worst of the night. Also getting it very wrong was Amanda Bynes in way too tight Herve Leger nude dress and some Christian Louboutin aqua fringed shoes. There was more fabric on those ridiculous shoes than on that hideous dress! Take a lesson from Joan Rivers girl, just because it zips doesn’t mean it fits!

So there you have it my Fashionistas: The good, the bad, and the really, really hideously ugly. Let us all hope that the green-screen electronic suit catches on for next year. Maybe then the fashion won’t look like it was left behind Jim Carey’s humping dogs. In the meantime, let me know what you think in the comments.

For those of you living under a rock (or in a cubicle thanks to that stupid unpaid internship deal) these past couple of days, Lindsay “Lilo” Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days in the slammer for….A LOT OF THINGS: cocaine possession, tampering with her SCRAM bracelet, driving drunk on the freeway…the list goes on. Sadness for Linds (and the paparazzi who will have nothing to do for 3 months.

Even worse, thanks to her nice little message (“F**K U”) painted on her nails in court, Ms. Lohan may be spending even more time behind bars for contempt of court. Buuuurn.

We’re all about punishing Lindsay for all of her less-than-flattering indiscretions, but if Linds is getting bonus jail time for writing F U on her nails, she better be getting even more for these crimes against humanity:

The entire fashion world was issuing Ms. Lohan fashion tickets for this hot mess of a collaboration. Making women wear this? Go to jail, Linds. Go directly to jail.

Her relationship with Aaron Carter

It’s bad enough that she dated one of the biggest losers in Hollywood, but she also stole said loser from good girl and major sweetheart, Hilary Duff. Thieves get jail time, yes?

Lilo really needs to stop crying about this whole “90 day” thing. By our calculations, she’s getting off easier than Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton combined.

But before we start counting down the days until the end of the summer, let’s stop time and relish in the week that was:

* Behold: the 30 most overrated dudes in Hollywood.

* Stuck inside without a chance to see the sun? Have no fear, my friend; there is a better, more natural way to get your tan on this summer.

* And here is a tasty, refreshing and couldn’t-be-easier-to-make recipe that will get you through the humid, hot, and brutal summer ahead.

* We all know we get by with a little help from our friends, but do you know what type of friends will help you out the most? We do. And did you know just how good your friends can be for your future? Now you do.

* What is “healthy”? Is it skinny? Is it athletic? Is it one of these gorgeously curvy women?

* You know what’s not healthy (or remotely attractive)? Camel Toe. There, we said it. Hope you’re listening, Hollywood!

* By the way, why are teens still using the rhythm method? Come on, kids – we thought you were smarter than that.

* If you’re single and you know it clap your hands. And if you feel like there’s no one else out there to date…. join the club, girlfriend. Sad face.

But cheer up, little lady; at least we know there’s more Glee coming this summer. And summer BBQs! And flip flops! And most of all: the weekend! Put down the books, step away from the computer, and soak it all in!

So this is awesome.

On Sunday night while the rest of the world (or at least those of us with a baby crush on Aziz Ansari) was sitting at home watching the MTV Movie Awards, I was there. On the red carpet. Trying to get Jason Segel to take advantage of me interview all the cool celebs as they made their way into the big show. And besides the extremely hot temperature of L.A. on a June afternoon, it was pretty effing rad.

All your favorite stars were there: Snooki (sans poof!), LiLo (in a sequined pants-suit-jumper–whaaat?), Paul Rudd (sigh), and Snoop (who loved CollegeCandy – obvi). There was also tons of media, tons of people who try to act important but really aren’t (Stephanie Pratt, I’m looking at you!) and there were lots of girls who really, really could use a cookie (and not the vegan kind that are abundant in LA. I’m talking the really large, frosted, full of trans-fat crap kind of cookie that will help said girls look more like a bootylicious babe and less like those emaciated kids you see on TV that you can help save for a mere $1 a day.) Boys were rocking skinnier jeans than any pair in my closet, girls were wearing dresses so short I became convinced Britney made it cool for L.A. girls to flash their bits.

And we saw them all up close and (way too) personal.

We talked to some of your favorite reality stars and were back for a second year with our dry erase board sign, putting the girls who posed with it at ease by telling them that we are not – hand to god – a porn site, while at the same time disappointing every male celeb with that same piece of information.

And here’s how it all went down: who we saw, who we stalked, and who we screamed at as they walked by us to get out of the hot, summer sun.

First, Miley Cyrus kissed one of her dancers on Britain’s Got Talent.  Then, (oops!) she did it again in London nightclub, G-A-Y.  Scantily clad Cyrus is surprised you would even be talking about these alleged kisses.  She took to her blog saying, “I promise you I did not kiss her and it is ridiculous that two entertainers cant [sic] even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story.”

While I wouldn’t quite use her wording, I’ve got to hand it to Miley- she might have a point here.  Why is it such a big deal for two female entertainers to kiss (or faux-kiss) on stage?  This is not new territory.

Jump to Sandra Bullock, someone who wanted to create a stir by kissing Scarlett Johannson at last night’s MTV Movie Award.  Girlfriend is coming out of nasty divorce and needed to switch the focus off her private life.  In a sure-bet move, Scarlett jumped Sandy in front of the cameras for less-than-lusty results.  No, no one remembers Jesse James after that stunt.  But come on people, it was awkward, predictable and, quite frankly, boring. Plus, it’s not the first time Sandra played tonsil hockey with a lady; does no one remember her moment with Meryl Streep?

Why do we care about this as much as we apparently do?

Who remembers when Madonna and Britney first pioneered this now-tired tactic on the VMAs?  That was good!  Heck, that was explosive!  Britney was the reigning princess of pop and Madonna was a living legend (and who invited Christina Aguilera?).  It was a match made in PR hype heaven.  Their outfits were amazing, and the kiss was just hot enough that high school boys everywhere had to strategically place their textbooks for days following.

But look, that was 2003.  This is 2010.  I’d like to think that, as a society, we’ve moved on from dropping our jaws every time It-Girls get steamy with each other.  It’s the ultimate orchestrated publicity stunt, and they’re not even making it to second base!  At this point, getting excited about faux lesbians is like getting excited over iPods and wireless Internet.  Been there, seen that.

How about we stop trivializing a kiss between two women and find something else to talk about? Like that smooch between Russel Brand and Jonah Hill?? Now that was something….

Excited for the weekend? We are. We’re more excited than we were for last weekend, and that one was three days!

Why, you ask? Maybe because CollegeCandy is going to the MTV Movie Awards!!

Yes, it’s true. CollegeCandy will be on the red carpet as our favorite stars (Ben Stiller? Andy Samburg? JASON SEGAL?!) shuffle on in to the coolest award show of the year. We’ll get a first hand look at what everyone is wearing, chat it up with the hottest people in Hollywood, and, if all goes well, take one of Judd Apatow’s funny boys home for ourselves.

And if it doesn’t go well, at least we know Paris Hilton will talk to us.
