Drew Brees, quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, broke Dan Marino’s single-season yardage record last night. Do I have any idea what this means? Of course not. But apparently it’s a pretty big deal. While those around me have been carrying on about yards, passes and interceptions, I’ve been busy gathering intel on the surprisingly-quite-attractive Mr. Brees. He’s totally crush-worthy and the fact that he has a wife is really only secondary to the fact that I want to do dirty things to him. (Just sayin’.)
In addition to being allergic to wheat and dairy — thanks Google — he loves getting his balls rubbed down. Wait, what? Yup, he said it on national television. I’m not here to judge, just dish out the news. Take in that clip, as well some swoon-worthy pics, and improve your day instantly. Read More »

My name is Sammie and I…am a Giants fan.
It is a sad truth that only served me well three years ago when we pulled out the fantastic miracle that was Super Bowl XLII. This year, at the very least, it isn’t the Patriots in the Super Bowl, but the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts. Two very interesting teams, which for some sad reason have players I, as a pop culture junkie as well as a sports fan, recognize from their liaisons with Kardashians (Saints Running Back, Reggie Bush) and their surprisingly hilarious guest spots on Saturday Night Live (Colts QB, Peyton Manning).
But there’s more to these two powerhouses than those hotties, and tomorrow night’s game is gonna be a biggie. Read More »

Let’s be serious: everyone and their mother (literally) watches the Super Bowl. Whether it’s for phenomenal commercials, gorgeous athletes, a scandalous halftime show, or for the actual sport, the entire country stops what they’re doing on Super Bowl Sunday and tunes in.
Personally, I watch for a combination of all four of these reasons (plus 4 hours of dipping delicious crispy things into delicious mushy stuff), and revel in every second of it. Sure, I’m used to being a little more involved in the actual outcome of the game (I’m a Steelers fan, so I’m used to winning these type things….), but this time I really am excited, because its going to be a battle of two great powerhouses this season. Maybe it will be a friendly game after all.
It’s been almost a month since Iowa dominated the Orange Bowl the college bowl games, and I am already going through fits of withdrawal. Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night on my couch, wearing a jersey, with my hand in a bag of pretzels and have no idea how I got there. Sighh, it’s going to be a long seven months until next season.
But lucky for me, the Super Bowl is here to take my mind off that so I can enjoy day-drinking and eating obscene amounts of nine-layer taco dip and wings once again.
After the nail-biter championship game last Sunday, the Super Bowl will be sure to not disappoint. Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints beat out Brett Favre’s Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings in overtime to become the NFC champions and move on to face Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. And there is no better way to celebrate this great coming together of teams than with a lot of beer…
Yes, it’s time for another CollegeCandy drinking game!
Now, there are plenty of football drinking games out there, but this one has been specially created with you lovely ladies in mind. So break out the beer bong and add some Super Bowl decorations to your plot on FarmVille (okay, maybe that’s just me), because here we bring you the CollegeCandy’s Official Super Bowl Drinking Game!
First, it’s crucial that you pick a team to drink to, unless you woke up feeling like P. Diddy and are ready to take on drinking for both. So pick your favorite team (or whichever you deem has the hottest players), your favorite beer–I don’t recommend mixed drinks for this!–and get ready for some sweaty man-on-man action FOOTBALL! (For reference, I usually judge one drink as one sip, not one huge gulp!) Read More »

For those of you not watching Kim Kardashian get her face beat in on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, last night was a nail biter. The New Orleans Saints took on the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game (which would determine who’s moving on to play in the big, bad Super Bowl) and it was intense. As if the stakes weren’t stressful enough, both teams were tied for the entire game until overtime when Saints kicker Garrett Hartley kicked the 40-yard field goal of his life and won his team a ticket to Miami.
As an avid Vikings fan (and recent purchaser of a brand new Favre jersey) I have resorted to chocolate and the fetal position this morning. I’m devastated.
But I am willing to bet the rest of us are wondering why the Saints, Reggie Bush, Brett Favre, and the Vikings are filling up our Twitter trending topics list and taking over our Facebook News Feed. What is the big hype? Why are all your guy friends crying? And why is it such a big deal the Saints won and the Vikings lost (besides the world being one step closer to a Kim Kardashian wedding)?
Let’s take a closer look. Read More »
