I’m not even sure what to say about Noah Cyrus.

It’s hard to put into words how much I love Bravo’s series Top Chef. To say I have formed an unhealthy obsession with it is an understatement. I can literally sit on my couch for seven hours straight without blinking an eye if I happen upon a Top Chef marathon. I literally cried real tears when Jennifer Carroll was asked to pack her knives and go last week. And sometimes I even have quick-fire themed nightmares where all of my ingredients have gone sour and the punishment is death-by-Padma.

Needless to say, tonight’s finale has me feeling excited and anxious in places I never knew existed. And what does that call for? A special viewing party!

My two friends and I are getting together to watch the finale together, but before we do, we have some Top Chef themed activities planned. We are each representing one of the three finalists – I will be dressing up as bad boy Michael Voltaggio complete with full sleeve of fake tattoos – and cooking ourselves a nice meal, competition style, of course. So obviously the buzz on all the fashion blogs and entertainment channels today is centered on the red carpet from last night’s Emmys. I must admit, I only tune in for the pre-show to see what all the celebs are wearing and to get the scoop on who was hot and who was totally not. Why waste three hours of “I’d like to thank God and the academy” when I can Google all that shiz the next day?

And the stars didn’t disappoint. As I sat curled up on my couch, the gowns had me drooling and dreaming of the day when I would someday find somewhere (anywhere!) to flaunt a flowing, sparkling evening dress. Sadly, as I stared down at my Easy-Mac-stained sweats, I realized that I won’t be wearing anything haute couture unless I marry Hollywood royalty or strike it big myself. Oh, and somehow fit into a size 00. None of which seem too promising.

Yeah, that's me. As Octomom. Never. Having. Sex. Again.

I have a good life: a job I love, a closet full of fantastic clothes, and some pretty rad friends and family. But even with all that I am always wondering what it would be like to trade places with someone else for a day.

Like my friend Amy – I’ve always wanted to know what it is like to have big boobs and a teeny, tiny waist. Or Octomom – spending a single day with 14 kids will teach me not to skip the condom when I’m in the heat of the moment. Or pretty much any celebrity with oodles of money and people bowing down to them wherever they go.

I’m pretty sure everyone – no matter how content – would give anything (even that coveted slice of drunken late-night pizza) to be someone else for one day. So this week I asked the CollegeCandy writers which celebrity they’d want to trade places with.

Who do you wanna be?

Thu – USC: I’d be Oprah and give away houses this time.

Kayla – California State University, Sacramento: Maybe I would be Heidi Montag. It might be nice to not have to use my brain for one day.

Padma Lakshmi…for Hardees?

The food isn’t the only hot thing on Bravo’s hit show Top Chef; the host, and former model, Padma Lakshmi always adds a little spice to things with her great fashion sense.

Both in and out of the kitchen, Padma is looks consistently pulled together and fabulous. She’s a big fan of fun and flirty dresses, adorned with draping and beautiful details that are oftentimes inspired by her Indian heritage. She’s got gorgeous gams that she loves to show off in mini-dresses, but she also knows how to pull off (and totally rock) the menswear-inspired look. Lakshmi makes form fitting vests and classic trousers look ultra chic and feminine, which is not easy to pull off.

The most notable (and enviable) aspect of Padma’s signature style, though, is her love of bright colors that flatter her deep skintone. She looks fantastic in everything from bright yellow to hot pink, and she isn’t afraid to wear them. She also gets major bonus fierceness points for not shying away from pieces that expose the large scar on her right arm caused by a car accident when she was younger.
