This week we’re gonna play a little game…(and I mean that in a totally anti-SAW way).

This playlist consists of several covers – and some original versions – of an eclectic group of sweet songs. It’s your job to grab your closest music-savvy friends, a case of cheap beer (PBR, maybe?) and play the playlist from start to finish. Every time a song begins, the first person to name the tune and whether it’s the original or the cover version wins and gets to dish out drinks till the next song comes on.

Got it? Good. And I’m not gonna lie, some are a little tricky so you might have to put your Google skillz to the test. Good luck ladies!

In high school, I worked at this amazing placed called Techno Tans. Like, fifty girls applied to work at this place because it was right across the street from our high school and the managers were super young and hip. And also happened to be ex-DJ’s who, during down time, spun their favorite techno beats for the customers in their tanning beds. (Because what other career path would an ex DJ have?)

Since I spent 20-30 hours a week listening to the best of the best of techno, I fell in love with it. So in an effort to spread a little techno love (and because I’m feeling a little nostalgic!), I wanted to share some of my old faves with CC. I know it’s not everybody’s bag, but alcohol and sweet beats never steered me wrong.

My friends have this joke that I have ADD – but only when it comes to music. I can’t stand to listen to one song for more than a minute. I’m constantly changing stations, pressing fast forward on my CD player, and I absolutely adore GirlTalk. And because I insert and eject CDs at a rapid pace, most of them are scratched. This, of course, causes my friends to yell “RE-MIX!” from the back seat at least once a car ride. So this week I’m bringing you some of my favorite re-mixes, because as much as I know we all have a soft spot for Soulja Boy and Katy Perry and all the other crap they play on the radio, sometimes it’s nice to change it up a bit.
