Glamour magazine recently named Rihanna one of their Women of the Year and in return she granted them her first exclusive interview since her attack. She opened up about her past, the ordeal with Chris Brown, her message to young women and how the past eight months inspired her new album.

It was open and real…and the timing couldn’t have been better.

I don’t want to be a cynic, but it seems quite, well, convenient that Rihanna finally talks to the media right around the time her new album is set to release.
