I love my man. I met him back in 6th grade, and I fell in love. I feel so blessed to have such a long, trusting realtionship. Every year, every season, he brings me so many pretty things. We have really grown together. He knows exactly what I like and every year, even with all my indecisiveness and ever-changing moods and tastes, he has stood up to the challange. And this year, Steve Madden, my main man (in shoes that is… although I would never object to dating a man who could literally make me the little old lady who lived in her shoe) has made me proud again by bringing a plethora of styles to feed my/your foot fetish.
And what’s more is that right now on SteveMadden.com and in Steve Madden stores nation wide there is a major sale going on. (um, who’s excited for the next rainy day?)
Steve’s shoes this summer are so similar to those of the uber–exclusive (read: muy expensivo) designers…. (many are much cuter and for ¼ of the price much more appealing) I saw a shoe JUST like these by Marc Jacobs. Adorable! Read More »

Last night, around 12:30 AM, I had a question. My brother had a desperate need for Wendy’s. We had 15 minutes, and somehow made another sibling rivalry discussion look easy (and English teachers everywhere cringe).
(23:56) Me: Can I ask you a question?
(23:56) The Bro: Ya, but hurry. I really wanna go to Wendy’s.
(23:57) Me: well, let’s say a girl walks into Wendy’s…and you’re standing in line behind her, and she’s wearing a short skirt and low shirt. Do you think her clothing gives you the right to stare at her?
(23:57) The Bro: hmm, the right? That’s funny wording
(23:58) Me: maybe “the right to ogle her”
(23:58) The Bro: I mean, technically, it’s my right to look at anything in a public place. Men look at breasts automatically. It isn’t something we do on purpose. We can train ourselves not to. Like for example, when I see MaryAnne, I know she has huge boobs. So I stare at her eyebrows. HARD. Or I look past her.
(00:00) Me: but if a girl’s wearing a cleavage-showing shirt…and she catches you staring…what do you do? Read More »

If you’re like me, you’re tight on cash, trying to be as active as possible (so you can eat all the fudgsicles you want this season. That shit is good), and enjoy being outside. You might also have this strange fear of bats flying in your window and then landing on your head at night…but we can talk later about that.
In any case, I do a lot of walking in the summer, and I suspect you do too. I also love cute shoes. I’m sure we’re alike in that way as well.
If these two things are true, perhaps your feet also look as though tiny elves have hacked and scraped away at what was once beautiful, pristine skin. Cute shoes don’t always mean comfortable shoes, and walking every day can turn a slightly uncomfortable chafe into deadly pain in less than twenty minutes. Read More »
He’s been around as long as I can remember. Our love affair began in the seventh grade. We met at the mall. I was shopping for the first day of school; he was sitting near the window in Nordstrom.
Well, not actually him, but one of the many fruits of his labors: the black elastic slide with the little platform bottom. A staple for any “it” girl in 1998.
And that was only the beginning of my nine year relationship with one Mr. Steve Madden.
We have both grown and changed over the years. I got boobs, curves and went to college. Steve went to jail, got out of jail, started going by Steven and created a much more sophisticated and sexy line of shoes.
And now, just as I have finally gotten comfortable with who I am, Mr. Madden has changed once again; this time adding dresses to match his already popular wedges, flats and oh-so-high-heels. And they are everything you would expect from the King of Shoes….and a whole lot more. Steve Madden dresses are flirty, flattering and perfect for Spring (if it ever shows up!). The cuts are beautiful and definitely draw attention to all the right parts (like those boobs I mentioned earlier…) Read More »

I’m not a big runner myself. I think I might have half jogged across the street the other day to avoid an oncoming car. But I am always inspired by those joggers who run everyday—weather it’s bright and sunny, or below zero and snowing. I would kill for a quarter their motivation.
Those of you who are runners should definitely keep your eyes peeled for Nike’s new iPod compatible N+ sneakers. The current N+ sneakers allow you to track your run— time, distance, and calories burned—with your iPod nano. Myself, I don’t think I’ll ever be that into my run. All I need is the pride for actually getting out there.
The details of what exactly is happening are vague. But the President and Chief Executive of Nike says the products will be out some time this year.

So, I got these shoes. They’re called “Shape Up Shoes”, which is a silly, silly name. I’mma go ahead and call ‘em “Fitness Flops”, which is far more clever.
Anyway, these shoes were just chillin’ in my office’s infamous Sample Pile and I was all, “Hey, I’m supes short and have size 6 feet! Bring on the platform flips!” Then upon further investigation, I found that said flips were not normal flips at all, but Fitness Flops – aka flips perched atop a bizarre plateau.
Me: Well that’s weird.
Their scheme effectively deployed, I found myself on www.shapeupshoes.com. The shoes allege that they promote weight loss, posture, and balance while reducing lower back pain, plantar fasciitis, lymphedema, poor circulation, diabetes, varicose veins, spider veins, cellulite, and cold feet. I’m surprised they don’t heal gun shot wounds or Gonorrhea! Read More »
