You’ve seen the Say Yes To brand all over the place unless you’ve been living under a rock. They’ve got some awesome lotion and chapstick, and it’s all natural, organic, good-for-your-body stuff. I’ve used several products from Say Yes To Carrots and Say Yes To Tomatoes, but I had yet to try out Say Yes To Blueberries or Say Yes To Cucumbers. Well, I was lucky enough to be able to test some products out for you all. Trust me, you’ll be saying yes in no time.

I tried out the Say Yes To Cucumbers Eye Soothing Gel and Say Yes To Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment and Brightening Eye Roller, and I’m really happy with the results. Typically with eye treatments, I’m a little skeptical of drug store brands because they just don’t seem to do the trick. While these products aren’t going to do the same thing as a Clinique treatment or something high end, they will keep your peepers de-puffed and bright on a budget. These products are super wallet-friendly, smell great, and work. Check out my review below!

Skincare is one thing that I find college gals often overlook. I’ll admit it — it’s much more fun to buy colorful makeup than boring, smelly soaps and serums. However, without a proper skincare regimen, your face and skin will never look its best!

Dr. Nicholas Perricone is known for high-powered skincare. His newest line, SUPER, harnesses the power of nature’s superfoods to help your skin be its best (and features adorable packaging). I decided to try out the 3-Minute Facial with Ginger as I’m a sucker for a good mask.

How To Use It:

Despite coming with few instructions, it doesn’t take one very long to realize that the included mini-spatula is to be used to apply the mask. It has the consistency of a very thick body cream and applies nicely. I use a fairly thin layer, spreading the 3-Minute Facial out so it is more sheer than opaque. Almost immediately after applying, your face begins to tingle! Set a timer for 3 minutes and then wash off with warm water and a face cloth.

I’ll admit it: I was skeptical about this one. How much could a mask do in 3 minutes?! I can officially say that Dr. Perricone has BLOWN me away with this one. In 3 minutes my skin is left glowing and hydrated and has a slight tingle for the rest of the day. It’s like an instant wake-up call for your skin!

I’ve found this to be perfect for my student lifestyle. If I didn’t get enough sleep the night before or feel slightly (or extremely) hungover, the 3-Minute Facial helps me feel and look my best! I can’t believe what an improvement 3 minutes makes to my skin and I love that it’s quick enough to use during my uber-rushed morning routine. The $50 price tag is the only thing keeping this facial from A+ status; I know it’s going to stop a lot of students from running out to their nearest Sephora and picking this up tomorrow. I can say that my 15 or so applications of this mask have barely made a dent in the 2oz jar, so don’t worry about going through it too quickly.

If you can’t drop $50 on a single skincare item, put this at the top of your Christmas list! You skin will thank you!

As you all know, I get the opportunity to try out a lot of products from well known brands. My favorite thing though is testing out small, independent brands that are trying to take on high-end, well known ones. When Joanne contacted me about trying Painted Earth, I was so excited! Independent brands are really special and don’t just think of customers as dollar signs. They care about your well-being and want their products to help you.

I cannot speak highly enough of this brand. Every single product I tested, I fell in love with. I use Painted Earth every day now because it’s just that good. Although priced like a high-end brand, it pretty much surpasses the quality level. Plus, you can order cheaper sample sizes (which are still a good size) of most of the products. I tested out a lot, but in this video I highlight some of my favorite things.

Yes, the school year just started, but man am I already stressed out. Even if you’re not in college, life is stressful. There’s always some sort of stress factor. I went to the dentist this morning, and my conversation went something like this:

Dentist: Do you have a lot of stress in your life right now?

Me: Um, yeah I guess. Why?

Dentist: I can tell you’ve been clenching and grinding your teeth in your sleep, which usually comes from high stress levels. Would you like to get fitted for a night-guard?

Seriously, that happened. No, I’m not getting a night-guard. But stress is a problem, and it causes other problems like breakouts and lack of focus. I had the opportunity to test out three really cool products: Clearogen, no!no! Skin, and 21 Drops. Watch below!

With summer coming, I’ve been quite focused on pumping you all with information about practicing safe sun. Well, get excited, because I have some more!  A lot of you love tanning, I get it, but there’s a way to do it safely. If you’re gonna be soaking up the rays, you should make sure you do everything in your power to protect yourself from skin cancer. (No matter how young we are, we’re not invincible!)  I’m not trying to lecture (okay, just a smidge) but I care about my viewers, and I don’t want anything to happen to you!

If you’re not clued in on the ABCDEs of moles, I’m here to tell you what they are and why they’re important!  I’ve had a mole removed, and it is not fun.  In fact, it’s scary and it hurts. Obviously, your best bet is to take care of your skin to prevent moles, but if you do get them, it’s important to know how to handle them. Let’s get to it:

Be safe and make sure you’re going to the dermatologist to get your moles checked, especially if they changed!  And remember, if Snooki can spray tan, so can you!

Spring Break is right around the corner!! Can you tell I’m really excited? Come on, I know I’m not the only one.

But while it may seem like you can be as carefree as you want, truth is you need to take care of yourself, especially your skin!  We all love us some Snooki, but no one wants to come back from SBXI looking like that.  I’m not trying to lecture you or be your momma, but you must wear sunscreen!  Every day! Not just while you’re lounging on the beach drinking margaritas or bikini skiing.  Really, a killer tan is not worth the harm you can do to your skin.

I know these tips may be common sense, but to some people they’re not. And even if they are, well, we all need a little common sense reminder sometimes. Especially when we’re about to embark on a week-long bender. So below is a list of sunscreen tips and some recommendations. What it is: Clarisonic Mia Sonic Cleansing System

Why this should be in your bag
Clean skin is the base for a great looking face. If you’re broken out, you’re going to slather on the heavy foundation and no one likes a cake-face. It looks unnatural, to say the least.

I have fairly decent skin, except when I get stressed. I get these little bumps all over my chin and forehead. It’s just atrocious and being stressed about my skin does nothing to help these bumps go away! I’ve heard rave reviews about the Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing Systems, so I was pretty excited to test out the Mia. The Mia is a compact version of the original Clarisonic, with all the same benefits in a smaller form. It’s perfect for busy students and traveling.

How to use it
The Mia comes with pretty clear instructions, but here is the general idea. You wet your skin and brushhead and then apply cleanser to either one. Then, turn on the Mia and begin on your forehead, using a circulation motion while the machine vibrates. Pushing too hard inhibits the machine’s action, so be aware! The Mia also comes with a handy 1 minute timer and shuts off automatically once your time is up. The instructions also come with a breakdown for how long you should spend on each area of your face.

Right now, I’m using the Sensitive Brush, but you can buy a whole array of brushes from Clarisonic. They recommend replacing them every 3-4 months.

Unfortunately, I think I’m going to need to test this little number out some more before I give a definitive answer. Using this around exam time didn’t really give me a clear picture of the benefits, as stress was causing my chin and forehead to go a bit bonkers. Despite this, I have had some promising results….

My cheeks look wonderful after using Mia! They are fresh and vibrant and the skin looks glowy! I haven’t had a single breakout on my face since beginning my journey with Clarisonic Mia and I feel like my skin just looks a whole lot healthier. I was one of those people who generally neglected skincare and sometimes opted for the old “bar soap in the shower” routine instead of taking care of my delicate facial skin properly.

So far, I’m really excited about the Mia. Since I’ve only been using it for a month (and my skin has been temperamental), I’m looking forward to seeing how my skin reacts when I’m relaxed and on Christmas holidays. I will try and provide an update in a future review.

I know that the $149 price tag is a bit much, especially for students, but if you’re super generous boyfriend/girlfriend/best friend/parents can spring for it, I would encourage it! It’s a great investment and, if you’re like me, you’ll have just as much fun using it as picking out the color you get. The new Garnet color that is such a nice change from the pastels (although those are pretty too)!

Bottom line: Clarisonic Mia will become a staple in your skincare routine for a long time to come!

But there are some companies out there with wonder products that truly, truly work!

The Body Deli is one of them.

They sent me two of their top selling products to test out and let me tell you: I am in love!  Their products contain only organic, raw, and fresh ingredients.  No crazy chemicals or acids whatsoever!  The biggest qualm I have is the price, but overall I think it’s totally worth it if you’re looking for a good quality line with all the natural stuff your skin needs and loves.
