My Man Steve Madden- He Knows How To Please.

steve-maddenI love my man. I met him back in 6th grade, and I fell in love. I feel so blessed to have such a long, trusting realtionship. Every year, every season, he brings me so many pretty things. We have really grown together. He knows exactly what I like and every year, even with all my indecisiveness and ever-changing moods and tastes, he has stood up to the challange. And this year, Steve Madden, my main man (in shoes that is… although I would never object to dating a man who could literally make me the little old lady who lived in her shoe) has made me proud again by bringing a plethora of styles to feed my/your foot fetish.

And what’s more is that right now on SteveMadden.com and in Steve Madden stores nation wide there is a major sale going on. (um, who’s excited for the next rainy day?)

Steve’s shoes this summer are so similar to those of the uber–exclusive (read: muy expensivo) designers…. (many are much cuter and for ¼ of the price much more appealing) I saw a shoe JUST like these by Marc Jacobs. Adorable! Read More »

Bring Back the Bubblegum Music (aka Pop)

britneyspears1.jpgSay I have bad taste in music; say I am so not a hipster. But I miss the good old days of cheesy, catchy, can’t get it out of your head, ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ pop music.

Sure the bubble gum pop craze got slammed by the critics as unoriginal/awful/insert any bad name you can think of here. But face it. What music do you pre-game to? What music do you run to at the gym?

Not Jack Johnson. Don’t even kid yourself.

We all know that screaming, dancing sing alongs to ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back Alright)’, ‘It’s Tearin Up My Heart’ and all the other boy band music hullabaloo is what makes taking that 5th shot so much more fun.

You may have dissed it at the time but admit it, you miss … Read More »

RIAA Cracks Down on Poor College Kids

GirlGone2JailWe all know how exciting it is to see a classic hit like “Don’t Stop Believin” by Journey pop up on a list of stealable downloads, saying it will only take 20 seconds until that baby is yours to keep forever. You say, “Dude. I have to download that. I don’t care if I’m stealing. It’s JOURNEY for gosh sakes.”

Tempting, I know.

And even though the government has been warning us to stop illegally downloading music, ever since the beginning days of Napster, we continue to do it anyway. We are such badasses.

Recently, however, there’s been an even bigger crackdown, and it’s college kids they’re after. With the rise of the Recording Industry Association of America, emails have been sent to hundreds of college students across the country and counting, warning them they have been caught in the act and if they don’t settle their cases out of court, they will be fined more money than college kids can afford.

MSN.com reports the case of University of Nebraska-Lincoln sophomore Sarah Barg, who received an email advising her of the fact she was caught downloading over 300 songs (some of which included songs by the Spice Girls – AWESOME!) on a campus computer using Ares – a site much like Kazaa, Limewire and Bearshare. At first, she brushed off the email, as we all probably would. Some one who downloads the Spice Girls doesn’t exactly scream “evil threat to society” to me. Read More »
