Jenna Jameson Arrested for DUI [Candy Dish]

Everyone’s favorite porn star, Jenna Jameson was arrested early this morning after driving her car into a pole. Officials said they suspected Jenna was under the influence and gave her a field sobriety test. When she didn’t pass, they arrested her. You’d think a porn star with that much money could pay to have someone drive her home after a night out. Actually, I’m sure she wouldn’t have to pay anyone. She’s bound to have men lined up down the block. TMZ has the full story here!

5 Hot Color Trends for the Spring

I love colorful clothes. In fact, last year I had to perform a color intervention…on myself. My wardrobe had actually become too colorful, and I was seriously in need of some good neutral tones. Now, my closet is much more balanced and I’m careful to think about my wardrobe as a whole. But that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on color! I still love it. Which is why I love this article from our friends at College Fashion. They’ve brought us the hottest color trends for Spring 2012, along with great tips on how to incorporate them into your wardrobe. Check it out!

Fashion Porn: Pretty in Prints

I love me a bold print, so I’m shakin’ in my leopard maxi dress over the variety of fabulous prints coming at us this spring (if it ever comes). There are so many prints to choose from: animal prints, prints of animals, florals, abstract, paisley, tribal, stripes, polka dots and any other design you could possibly imagine. They come in all colors, on items of all types, meaning there are unlimited ways to incorporate prints into your look this spring.

You can even wear them mixed together. Crazy, I know!

While there are many prints that make a big statement, there are also many that are more subtle. A smaller, daintier print might be for you if you’re not looking to draw a lot of attention, or go for a big, bold pattern if you want to have all eyes on you when you enter a room. After all, there’s nothing wrong with drawing attention from the amazingly bold dress you’re wearing… unless it’s because you’re falling out of it.

If you’re up for the challenge, mix things up. How, you ask? By choosing prints in similar shades/complimentary colors. When you do that, the patterns look more like neutrals and you end up with a seriously interesting and appealing look. You ready to get your print on (literally)? Here are 15 of my favorite printed looks for spring. Read More »

Budget Stylista: Get Bright With Yo Bad Self

Just when we were getting used to the black and grays that fall brought us, the fashion gods decided to to have a fling with brights. From adorable totes to patent pumps, sunglasses to accessories, you can find just about every shade of ROY.G.BIV. (What up, 6th grade science class! Bet you never thought you’d hear ROY.G.BIV again, did you?!)

And for a new twist, colored bottoms are back. I knew I should have hung on to my bright blue capris from the Gap circa the late ’90s. (Remember those commercials where they were all dancing in tons of bright colored bottoms?!)

Sorry. Having some nostalgia moments up in here. Reeling it in…

This spring is all about bright bottoms, and mixing and matching big, bold colors. I love pairing two complementary colors together – think bright blue and orange, or pink and green. It just makes everything more exciting.

If mixing colors is intimidating, stick with a colorful bottom and a neutral top and shoe. The key when mixing colors is to always keep at least one element neutral. So if you’re wearing a coral top and a blue skirt, go with a neutral bag and skin tone shoe. If you’re doing a colorful shoe and pant, or colorful belt and pant, keep the rest toned down.

Not sure where to start? Here are three foolproof looks that will brighten your mood and your wardrobe!

Fashion Porn: Nautical Orgy

I'm on a bleepin' bleepin' boat

According to reliable sources – namely, Punxsatawney Phil – there are still six weeks left of winter. That’s six more weeks of singing the winter blues as we trek to class in our layers upon layers trying to avoid frostbite while still looking cute. Worst of all, that’s six weeks of craving cute spring clothes that retailers are dangling in front of us while we lug our winter coats around the mall.

The tail end of winter sure does suck.

But, it doesn’t have to! Looking to the Resort 2010 collections (also known as Pre-Spring), there are many trends that can be incorporated into our winter looks while still channeling the feeling of warm months to come. What better way to kick those winter blues (covered in icicles) than with nautical clothes? Who wouldn’t rather be on a boat (bustin’ 5 knots, wind whippin’ out my coat) than braving the winter weather?

OK, so putting on some madras and a pair of Rainbows isn’t exactly possible right now, but it’s really easy to incorporate some nautical looks into your winter wardrobe with a little creative layering. Tights, long sleeve shirts and cardigans makes it possible to enjoy nautical clothes now, and then you can strip that stuff off when the snow (finally) melts in the spring.
