Okay, so I’ll admit it; when it comes to shoes, I have a problem.

I can’t stop buying them.

I love all kinds of shoes, from flip flops to stilettos to my trusty Chuck Taylors. I love my tried and true (black pumps, ballet flats, etc.) and I love finding fun and funky shoes to add a lil’ oomph to an outfit. I have shoes ranging from Payless and Target to Steve Madden and even a few beloved pairs of designer shoes (that were all purchased in outlets or amazing clearance sales, I must add).

The best thing about shoes is that trends come in cycles so you can save your favorite pairs and use them for more than one season.

It’s official; even the execs at Bravo know that this season of Project Runway blows. Why else would they dream up a challenge the likes of which we witnessed last night?

Dressing drag queens? Really?

Don’t get me wrong; having Chris March back on the show (using disco balls as a brassiere) made me very happy. Finally! Someone entertaining! But that doesn’t mean the challenge made any sense. The show is supposed to be about finding the next big designer; how the hell does designing Drag for some Queens do that?

Much like I wondered when I was forced to take Stats in college, I have to know: how is this applicable to anything they will do in the future?

Anyways, the designers had to choose from a slew of Queens with names like Headda Lettuce, Sweetie and Miss Understood. And I gotta say, it was nice to have some fun people around again. Is there any way these “ladies” can be on the show full time? The Queens were hilarious, vivacious and had some mad skills with a makeup brush. The designers, on the other hand, are all so boring and I can speak on behalf of everyone when I say we are sick of Suede.

Last night’s episode of Project Runway really made Lauren happy. Lauren is all about saving the environment, so Lauren was super excited when she found out the challenge was to use Green fabrics to create cocktail dresses. Lauren wants a Green cocktail dress!

Other things Lauren wants: the BlueFly accessories wall in her bedroom, a lunch date with Heidi Klum and for Suede to stop freaking speaking in third person.

But let’s get back to the show (and first person).

This week’s challenge was twofold. Not only would the designers be using eco friendly fabrics, but the models would be purchasing them. Oooooo. I am sure that threw a little wrench in everyone’s plans, but didn’t really become an issue for anyone except Stella. Not because the model came back with some hideous fabric, but because the model came back without leather.

Stella LOVES leather. She would make anything in leather! She would make pants in leather, hats in leather, dresses in leather. If only leather wasn’t the WORST THING FOR THE PLANET, Stella. I mean, seriously. Leather is not only a major fashion mistake (unless you are going to a Bon Jovi concert), it just totally goes against everything this challenge is about.

So, anyhoo….the designers start doing their thang with the stuff and some random shite goes down.
