I hate winter. I hate the cold. And I most certainly hate the snow. So it should come as no surprise to you that I am already dreaming of the lazy days of summer ahead. In fact, I don’t even care if they are lazy, I just want them to be warm and sun-filled. Preferably not humid…but I’ll work with it.

As a New Englander you would think I would be one of the many supporters of winter. After all, I used to figure skate and bring my inner tube to the Seven Hills, but somewhere (I blame junior year of college; not sure why) I turned. Maybe it was when I fell in love with all the wonderful things summer had to offer, maybe it was when winter started taking over half of the year. Baby’s got back my friends. And by baby I mean the term of endearment I now use to call all of these amazingly sexy dresses. This summer, dresses with some sort of fun/sexy back detailing or cut-out are all over the place. Sure you might think that cleavage is where it’s at, but when you think about it these dresses make total sense.

Enter Exhibit A: You see cute guy at the bar, from the front you look put together, sophisticated and classy – the girl you can take home to mom. Then – BOOM – you turn around to walk away and there is one (sexy) party going on with your back. Va va va voom! Business in the front, party in the back doesn’t just apply to mullets anymore, ladies.

If Punxsutawney Phil was correct this year, we now only have 3 more weeks of winter, which means we can soon wash away those winter blues and bust out those spring styles.  This year, Pantone’s top color will be turquoise, which is not only a fun, bright color that can be mixed with everything from neutrals to browns to other brights, but it looks great on nearly everyone.
